Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MrBitey · 21/07/2011 11:41

I don't even know if I want to see a willy! Think I might not want to see one of those for a while yet! Potter was a bit of an end of an era, have seen all of them with the same person. At the previous two she has been very diffed so got my own back last night by spilling ice cream down my front in a leaky breast pattern and some rather alarming toni braxtons Grin

gaga can I ask you about the EPO capsules? Is it right that the whole shell bit vanishes without trace or am I going to have embarrassing moment when the midwife asks what else I have got up there Shock Blush

AlpinePony · 21/07/2011 11:51

honey is right. Once you've laid and you've got some semblance of a routine in place you can do anything that a non-baybee'd up type can - with just one exception. You cannot go to the cinema as a couple to watch a "normal" film. :( You can go on holiday, you can go to restaurants, you can go to museums, go cycling, climb mountains. But want to spend Sunday afternoon sat in front of a matinee with a box of popcorn? hahahahah. Those days are gone. Differs - go forth and matinee for tomorrow is another day.

I notice ginfox is conspicuous in her absence.

Hellurrrrrrrrr honey , what a surpise to see you here, you bendy-legged Babylonic ho! Wink

LadyGoneGaga · 21/07/2011 12:32

They do just dissolve, Bitey. You might notice some jelliness to your discharge. I don't do them same day as an internal so I don't have to explain myself to midwife. On self examination still can't find cervix. So not sure how sweep will go tomorrow.

I also noticed that Gin has gone very quiet. Obviously laying.

MrBitey · 21/07/2011 13:44

Thanks gaga my cervix is also missing in action.

Dreamt last night that Jeremey Clarkson came round and broke my washing machine. I was so annoyed him that my waters broke and added to the flood. Do you think I should ask him round???

Owl is also rather quiet.

LadyGoneGaga · 21/07/2011 13:57

I had some kind of labour dream too, Bitey. Can't quite remember what happened though. You are welcome to get Jezza round, but I reckon I would only last about three minutes before pounding his big stupid curly head into oblivion. Depends on your tolerance threshold.

Yeah, she is a bit quiet. No fair.

macaroonmum · 21/07/2011 14:22

GG it's a 3-yr-old thing. Mine's going mental. I'm sure they have a radar which tells them that life is going to change in a way that makes them a little bit less the centre of your universe.

'Lo honey welcome back! Just in time for the mass laying exodus.

No labour dreams for me. Am having serious difficulty sleeping though. Want to turn over all the time but it's so much effort...
I saw HP last week (the 3rd, maybe 4th time since having a child). Didn't notice any willy though. Although, these days i don't think i'd notice one if it were shoved in my face .

LadyGoneGaga · 21/07/2011 14:49

3 year olds are way worse than 2 year olds. I think the whole "terrible twos" thing is a big fat lie to lull us into a false sense of security and make us decide to breed again. How can such a little person have such huge attitude. Don't know who he gets it from - the evil temper, the stubborn argumentativeness, the impatience and utter sense of entitlement. Oh yeah

Hopefully only three more nights to get through being giantly pregnant. Unless the whole induction thing doesn't work.

Ginfox · 21/07/2011 20:46

So you know on tues afternoon when I said "vaguely crampy"? Well by midnight the vague crampiness had gone from every now and again, to full on ouchiness every 2 mins - with no gradual build-up, most rude..

And so to cut a shortish story even shorter, Foxcub arrived by waterbirth at 2.30pm on weds, weighing 6lbs 11oz, and looking completely gorgeous. Only came home today because my womble was slow to contract and I lost a litre of the red stuff [careless emoticon]. Will regale you all with details when I have the energy.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/07/2011 09:07

Excellent news, Brownie! Grin

I'm off for my alleged sweep today. Third time lucky, eh? Anyone want to lay odds on them actually doing it this time? Am sure the MW thinks there is some kind of Mummy's curse up my fanjo. Must be the cobwebs Grin

So, where IS, Owlie?

BarbiesBeaver · 22/07/2011 09:21

Welcome foxcub! Sounds perfect.

Nice news Brownbear are you feeling a bit more confident nowadays?

Good luck for sooty and sweep today GG. Tell the MW to man the fuck up and get on with it.

Had mammoth puke session all day yesterday after being an idiot and attempting to do DIY every night after work. That'll teach me.

laurielou · 22/07/2011 09:38

Congratulations Gin, wonderful news. And a waterbirth too - am tres envious. Well done that girl Wine

Brownie lovely scan news too - I loved scans! Not such lovely news on the vom-fest. Little monkeys, they just like to let us know who is in charge...

LadyG good luck for the sweep today. Will be sending ripe cervix vibes your way.

Oooh, the laying has started....................

Scorpette · 22/07/2011 09:56

Huzzah for the fox cub! I've timed my return well, haven't I?! And someone finally got a water birth Grin Can't wait for details, hope you're doing well, Foxy

So sorry I've not been around for yolks; Mr T has terrible colic and I've been having to keep him in perpetual motion virtually all day just to calm him down - even have to jiggle him in the pram or my arms as he naps... Which he hasn't been doing very much of. He is miraculously napping normally now so got straight on here Too much to comment on but am looking v forward to GG's induction this wkend and 'sweep this, bitch' has to be an ESH classic! So happy lovely little rocket girl is okay - I didn't realise she was poorly so feel bad I've not been around to offer support. Sending her extra kisses xxxx

Gah, he's stirring... Am getting giant Popeye arms from all this colic-cuddling! I bought another sling, a Baba sling but he hates that too. Fuxache!

I bloody luff youse guys sooooooo much, you know :)

Oh, and Pol, I got your text but my moby keeps refusing to send my reply. Will try to msg or txt again soon, my sweet thang.

Scorpette · 22/07/2011 09:57

Aaaaaand so the endless ear-splitting screeching begins again. Good job he's so yummy and perfect!
