shagging - snap. Steak with a lump of melting boursin cheese on top for us, and a side salad.

No carbs here (as much as I can be arsed). I have lost 5 stone this year, I'll be fucked if I let some foetus see it all go back on Wink

pixelpeeper · 13/07/2011 15:07

gosh, bit sweary today aren't I?

pommedechocolat · 13/07/2011 15:31

ooo I'm exhausted all the time and I don't remember this with dd.
I am also a lot more piuchy in the tummy area than I was at 6 weeks with dd too.
Nausea this am for the first time. Was strangely delighted by it!
I'd swear if some bloody chickens had me up at 4am as well pixel!

pixelpeeper · 13/07/2011 15:54

pomme yes, it is getting to the point that when I look at them, I see fajitas.

ShaggingProducesResults · 13/07/2011 15:56

I'm also very sweary today. Warning - high levels of pregesterone lower your idiot tolerence levels.... and I work with a lot of idiots!!!

I need carbs! The steak and salad would just have me reaching for the sweets later so going to be good and have new potatoes rather than chips..... although my yoga class is quite intense and I haven't really eaten yet today so maybe I'll succumb to the oven chips!

Fucking tiredness - doing ym head in. I feel like I've been taken over by a sleeping machine!

pommedechocolat · 13/07/2011 15:59

Dh has taken the brunt of my low tolerance levels Shagging. Poor man. he says he remembers it from last time and was prepared.
He looks a bit scared when he sees me now.

You lot are too good with food. I'm eating for 10!

pixelpeeper · 13/07/2011 15:59

I love carbs, so much that if I eat them my body will hold on to them forever.

I just eat a shit load of meat and salad instead!

That said - I DID have chips for dinner last night. I'm no saint. Tonight I repent.

BitsyVonMuffling · 13/07/2011 16:02

Ooo pixel I've lost just about 5 stone this past year and a bit too Shock I am petrified of putting it on again. Took me bloody ages after ds was born to even lose an ounce, breastfeeding makes me hang onto fat like nothing else so I am buggered if I'm going to start chowing on potatoes now. I have a dreadful love of Tesco chilli chicken salad with noodles right now. I feel dirty eating what is basically a lunch ready meal, but i have them lined up in the fridge so I can have one every day Blush

BitsyVonMuffling · 13/07/2011 16:06

I did low carb too pixel, and tbh I KNOW that having carbs isn't going to help my energy levels, it'll make me more sluggish so I'm keeping a supply of good things in the fridge. We'll see how long it lasts when the morning sickness kicks in.... I'm just exhausted though. We have to go out for a school thing at 6 and I could just weep with the need to get my head down for 10 minutes :(

pixelpeeper · 13/07/2011 16:07

bitsy I hear you! I am petrified of getting big again.
I worked so hard to lose it that hunger or not, baby or not, that sandwich can go do one Grin

pixelpeeper · 13/07/2011 16:08

I am ok with all things low carb except I used to eat a lot of hot smoked salmon (you know the stuff that stinks like smoked mackerel) but I just can't face it.

Otherwise it's business as usual, with extra chilli. Can't get enough chilli right now.

ShaggingProducesResults · 13/07/2011 16:15

Mmmmmmm Fajitas..... :)

pixelpeeper · 13/07/2011 16:27

shagging - were you TTC for a long time? Your name (as it was) looks familiar from a TTC thread I was on a few months ago.

ShaggingProducesResults · 13/07/2011 16:33

I was on a waiting to TTC thread for about a year whilst I persuaded DH to stop delaying things and just get on with it. We started TTC in April.

He is now very much on board and as excited as me. Hurrah!!!

pixelpeeper · 13/07/2011 16:59

I was on that thread with you (for a while... With a different name)

Reallea · 13/07/2011 17:25

Craving dominos Texan BBQ pizza.... Gave in to the craving Sunday night but it just keeps coming back so things not looking good for me keeping the weight off!

Totally there with the exhaustion thing... Back into work today and thankfully they believed the tiredness was due to the fact that DS had been up in the night with his chicken pox, but in reality he's sleeping like a dream- I'm just not telling them that! Have twice this week been accused at work of being pregnant- first for trying to sleep in the staff room (and much ribbing came of how when last time I was pregnant I attempted to have a snooze in the middle of a field on the biology field trip) and the second for saying I liked the look of someone's cheddar cheese and picallily sandwiches- they didn't accuse the one who was eating them though! Have told a few people who I know will keep it quiet. Been feeling so nauseous though and thought I was going to chunder in the kitchen sink when I loaded the dishwasher this morning!

Not craving much of anything here as feeling too sick, am going to force myself to eat dinner and hope it doesn't return to haunt me :(

Just had to rush back with DD from the supermarket so that I didn't have to throw up on the side of the road. At least the sickness seems to be at its worst in the evening, I don't think I would ever live down the embarrassment of being sick in front of my class.

Last time I was pregnant if I got hungry between meals I snacked on salads, fruit and cereal bars and ate a balanced diet. Between that and regular exercise I didn't put on too much weight so that is what I will do this time round and hope that it works for me again.

happyland · 13/07/2011 18:57

Just wrote a long post and it dissappeared!

Can I join? I have been ttc for 6 months or so for number three. I am currently on holiday in France and bought a test yesterday - strong BFP this morning! Have decided not to get excited untill I get home and do another test ( or three) Havent even told my husband - didnt want to give him the fear. I reckon I am due around the 8th March.

Been feeling pretty good, no real symptoms apart from cramping, which gets worse in the evening.
No sickness so far!

babydust27 · 13/07/2011 19:08

Im still here Reallea!!

Feel really rubbish at the moment, keep having cramps all day long and all i want to do is sleep!!

I leave for work at 7 in the mornings and get back about 6.30 so im practically sleep walking all the time. Havent been sick yet but from about 3pm im starting to feel a little sick and extra grumpy!

I went into toys r us yesterday to get my neice a birthday present and had a sneaky peak at the nursery furniture!!!

Is anyone paying for an early scan? Im getting really tempted! Havent had any problems but im so keen to see my little peanut and check that he/she is ok in there!

Hi babydust, we paid for an early scan last Sunday and it was well worth it. I felt so relieved and excited to see the little flickering heartbeat.

Everyone's listed food cravings have my stomach growling...I'm not feeling sick today just insanely hungry. And ridiculously tired. Seriously, I had no idea that growing a bambino would be this exhausting!

Group question (borrowed from the February Bus)--what is everyone calling their budding baby? DP and I call ours The Creature, as in "The Creature definitely wants another slice of lasagne."

withoutanet · 13/07/2011 19:47

And welcome aboard Happyland--glad you got your 'Oui'!

babydust27 · 13/07/2011 20:41

our baby is called peanut!

How far along were you when you had the scan withoutanet?

OP posts:
MrsCog · 13/07/2011 21:58

Ours is called the acorn :) so when I stole a chip from DH this evening it was because the sweet acorn wanted it!

A little bit more brown spotting today, but much more like brown watery discharge, no bad cramps or anything and have still been feeling very tired and really sick, boobs still a bit achey, so really really trying not to worry.

As for cravings, it seems that one day's craving is the next day's poison - rapidly running out of anything I want to eat - only had a few chips and an apple for dinner.

I too am very tempted by paying for an early scan - any idea how much they are and what the earliest is - I'll be 6 weeks on Fri.

ShaggingProducesResults · 13/07/2011 22:45

It's the bean here (unimaginative I know!!)

Steak and lots of green veggies for supper. Then horrid stomach ache and a dodgy tummy. Bean doesn't seem to like food!!!
