So sorry Zedeedee, look after yourself, let DH do most of the hosting if you cannot cancel guests x

KittyRogue · 20/08/2011 10:31

Oh zedbed I'm so sorry :(

Sending you loads of hugs x cancel guests they will understand xxx

ShaggingProducesResults · 20/08/2011 14:02

So sorry to hear that Zebedee.

I agree with Kitty, cancel the guests. It's important to look after yourself and the last thing you need is to have to put on a show that you are ok.

Sending you lots of hugs x

Chulita · 20/08/2011 17:17

Thanks for all your lovely messages. I'm booked in for a medically managed mc starting tomorrow. Hopefully it will be all over by the time I go on hols in 2 weeks: at least I can hit the booze again!

Sorry not posted for ages, I got a bit freaked out by the MC's and then my cousin suffered a MMC, I am so desperately sorry for all of you, my heart goes out to you.

This morning i finally went for my Obstetrician appointment, and after being sick with nerves I got to see my little nugget bouncing away, even waved at us! I was so made up with the appointment as not only did we get a quick scan, I had bloods and urine taken and had the results back in half an hour! They take it then test it there and then, how efficient is that! Then arranged for me to have the dating scan tomorrow morning. Zambia may have its downsides but I couldnt fault the service we got today. We have made the decision though that I will be returning to the UK for the birth - I cant wait to come home!

Hope everyone is well and those 1st trimester symptoms are starting to subside!

11+3

easterbaby · 23/08/2011 14:32

So sad to hear about Zebedee - hope she is getting some rest and being well looked after.

This is my first MN post ever! Please bear with me while I get to grips with how it all works. :)

Am due on 30th March (according to my dates!) and am a complete first timer. A few canny people at work have sussed me out - it's beginning to feel like a secret club. Scan is booked in for 19th Sept, which seems like ages away.

Symptoms are ramping up - always tired and often nauseous. My DH is pretty sympathetic. When we found out at 4+3 he was so excited - said that his brain started to 're-wire' as soon as he heard (!)

Keen on the idea of a birth centre if all goes well - there's one in our area (SE London), next door to a hospital in case we need it.

8+6

JoZambia · 23/08/2011 16:00

Hi easterbaby, welcome on board! A lot of us are first timers it seems which i like as its reassuring to know i am not the only one feeling the way I do! For someone with several nieces and nephews, plus friends with kids and being line manager to pregnant women I have discovered I am completely clueless when it comes to pregnancy with what to expect and what can happen! Hope you find being on here useful too.
Dont forget to add yourself to the stats page!

ShaggingProducesResults · 23/08/2011 17:30

Eeek!! Scan in 2 hours time. Very excited and a bit nervous that my dates are a bit out and they won't be able to do the Nuchal test. Fingers crossed everybody that all is well and we can start telling people :)

easterbaby · 23/08/2011 17:52

Thanks JoZambia! Updated the stats page - nice idea to help us get to know each other. Smile

Good luck with the scan, ShaggingProducesResults!

KittyRogue · 23/08/2011 18:07

Good luck Shagging!!! Welcome Easter!! Finally got my scan date (couldn't wait any longer so called them) 5th September!!!!, omg!!!!!!!!! Tres excited! Am so badly showing/bloated too but the morning sickness is going down!

happyland · 23/08/2011 18:37

Hello all, I'm on the brewing thread but thought I get onto this one too! Am due on the 8th march. It's all been a but traumatic so far, lots of bleeding and cramps but I'm hanging in there. ANSI sore and bloated right now. Roll on the 2nd trimester.

How are you all this evening?

happyland · 23/08/2011 18:38

Zebedee am so sorry for your loss.

MakkaPakkasWilly · 23/08/2011 20:32

zebedee I am so sorry to hear your news.
I have been thinking of you a lot this weekend, hope you are ok.

I had my scan today - very relieved to see fatty lala is well, I was expecting bad news but am very glad I didn't get it. Feels much more real now!

12 +5 (officially! Will update stats thread)

DaydreamDolly · 23/08/2011 20:48

Hi all, may I join you?

Due 13th March with number 2. DD is 2.2 yrs old.

Got my scan a week tomorrow but it's the worst kept secret in the world seeing as I seem to be showing already at 11 weeks!

Expect my edd to be put back after scan as edd given based on 28 day cycle and mine is normally a bit longer than that.

Glad to be going through it with all of you!

Zebedee So sorry for your sad loss. My heart goes out to you Sad

ShaggingProducesResults · 23/08/2011 21:53

Good news about fatty lala! Yippeee!
Scan was good and everything looks ok. Ended up getting the dildo cam though thanks to my wonky womb!

Got to wait for blood test results but Nuchal measurement was 1.1 so looking good at the moment. 11+3 officially.

FlipFantasia · 24/08/2011 09:21

Morning ladies

Good news on the scan results Makka and Shagging - it must be such a relief to have the 12 week scan out of the way! Mine's on 9th Sept and I can't wait, though it will be weird to be going public at work etc. I've quite enjoyed not telling anyone (told people super early with DS).

Shagging why is your womb wonky if you don't mind me asking? I've been told my womb is retroverted, so had to have the dildo cam at 7 week scan but the 9 week scan was through my tummy. Apparently it rights itself by the end of the first trimester (or something) but no one ever mentioned it during my first pregnancy!

Welcome to the new ladies too Smile.

We're off to the States tomorrow for 2 weeks visiting the in-laws. Can't wait, though am in denial about how much work I still have to finish today (so of course I'm on MN!). Glad that we missed the earthquake that shook the east coast of the US - it shook my PILs and experiencing an earthquake is something I hope I never do!

Anyway, hope all the scans between now and when I get back on MN on 8th Sept are good. And hope all those still suffering with sickness start to feel better - my nausea is still around but seems to be getting better now I'm 9+5 (knocks on wood) though still can't stomach most food.

"See" you all in a couple of weeks!
