Sorry to hear your news Freedom, best of luck for the future x

Babybrain - I hope all is well, surely you could just go to A&E again if you are really worried now you are back at home. Saw midwife today for booking appointment and that is what she told me to do if I had any bleeding.

Welcome all new ladies to the thread :)

MIL passed away two weeks ago so I went quiet for a bit.

Booking appointment today, I am due 3rd March according to QCCH and not the 4th as the GP estimated. So I am 10+5.

Got told off by the person who did my pee test for not drinking enough water, was early and had been very sick this morning.

Got my scan next Friday :)

I am not so much hungry as having nausea and heartburn if I don't eat every two hours, a little bored of cereal bars now, but they do the job.

Boobs seem to be growing yet again and have also had flutterings and a sort of rotational type feeling. Felt them at 13 weeks with DD which was quite early, but was not expecting them so soon.

Also expanding waistline had led me to order some maternity clothes which arrive tomorrow so I will not have to keep unbuttoning my flies!

Although may still have to lose my bra as it presses against my stomach making the nausea worse.

rollerbaby · 09/08/2011 22:34

Sorry for being so quiet. Work and feeling sick/tired not helping.

Sad about your news freedom.

Tummy also seems more prominent but in a fat way and not a baby way! I've been sensibly eating but the nausea is making me need crisps! Got a big work day next weds when I will be 9 weeks and no doubt ms at it's worst.

Staying at folks tonight after terrible Battersea riots. Sad

MakkaPakkasWilly · 10/08/2011 08:43

hello all

yes, all quiet with me I'm afraid, I thought I'd spare you the idiosynchrasies of my very boring existence Grin

I have to go for a scan in a minute. Not an interesting scan, this one is on my liver.

ShaggingProducesResults · 10/08/2011 10:31

Hi all

I've been in bed for 2.5 weeks so not really on the computer much. horrendous nausea but as I'm not throwing up they can't give me anything. Had my booking appointment on Friday and scan booked in for 23rd. Can't wait!!

Am hoping to start feeling better soon (I am so bloody bored!!) especially as we go on hols in 2 weeks and I'm dreading it if I still feel like this!

I feel much better in the last 2 days (in the mornings at least). I think I'm 11 weeks today. The bloated tummy has gone down a bit - I swear at 8 and 9 weeks I looked about 4 months pregnant. I too bought some maternity clothes (against my better instincts) - but ahhhhhh lovely comfy trousers with elastic band. I wish I could wear them all the time, pregnant or not. No more digging in of those brass jeans buttons when I'm sitting in the car. I have to say I'm really impressed by the range of maternity clothing you can get nowadays. With my first pregnancy in 2006 there didn't seem to be much except on-line. Now I've raided Topshop and got some great things that don't even look like mat gear. Woohooo!

I was slightly alarmed by feeling better but then regretting it when I was exhausted by 4pm and feeling a bit sick again. Also I still have that dreaded moment each night when I take off my bra and the breasts are unleashed. Soooooo sore.

Have finally received my booking in appointment which is 29th Aug. By my calculations I'll be 14 weeks by then and still no sign of a scan appointment. Do you think they'll scan at the booking in appt? I didn't receive the usual scanning info bumf in my letter....Hmmmmmm

Think the thread will be quiet now until after nuchal scans when we can all relax. Its such a long haul this first bit - especially for those of us who have had mcs in the past. Eugh. The force is with you girls!

Hi all, I have also been quiet, have been away for a long weekend with DH to celebrate our anniversary whilst DS went to inlaws. Was really good for us and the nausea has really calmed down which made me enjoy the holiday but I can't help but be really scared as well. I am 10 wks to tomorrow although at 8 week scan they said I was further along but I know when I ovulated so I am ignoring them.

I thought nausea wasn't supposed to go until 12 weeks? Anyone have any ideas on this as I am really getting concerned that it was so bad I had to be medicated and now it has almost gone. I still felt bad this morning first thing and took a tablet but normally the tablet just takes the edge off it and I now feel totally ok. Yesterday I only felt vaguely nauseous yesterday too. DH says I was aloof to inlaws but I was just being a bit concerned so was quiet. Did anyone have bad MS in earlier pg but it went before 12 wks? I did not get it with DS.

In two weeks. It's going to be a long hard wait!

babybrain3 · 10/08/2011 15:44

I'm out :(

pommedechocolat · 10/08/2011 16:00

Babybrain3 so sorry to hear that. Look after yourself.

KittyRogue · 10/08/2011 18:29

So sorry Babybrain, sending you lots of love x

Tanya28 · 10/08/2011 20:55

any one else seem to have evening sickness?? starts at about 3ish and passes and then hits about 830pm yucky :(

ZhenXiang · 10/08/2011 21:32

So sorry to hear your news Babybrain3, take good care of yourself x

laabama · 10/08/2011 21:44

Sorry, slightly random post but.....

Babybrain, I'm very, very sorry to hear your news. I hope you can take some time to relax and recover and that you make a reappearance on a thread here soon.

honeymoo I am exactly the same as you in so far as nice big tummy and it's only in a fat way, not pregnant way. Crisps are the main answer for me in terms of making me feel better but not in terms of sorting tummy out! Am trying breadsticks and houmus instead...

Santalucia I think you're right about this bit being a long haul. I'm 8 weeks today (had my booking in appointment :)) but it was at 8 weeks that I started bleeding last time, which led to my MC. The next four weeks can't be over soon enough for me.

MW did suggest that the horrible bloat I feel all the time would go at around 12 weeks, which is another great reason for the next 4 weeks to go. She suggested buying the next size trousers to ease nausea but I've got quite small hips (not going to be particularly helpful come March....), so don't properly fill the size I currently wear, so if I buy bigger they'll fit my waist and then just hang and will look completely ridiculous! It the bit just below my bra where my nausea feeling sits, so have instead looked for some new, slightly looser tops.

Saw a friend today and she's about 21 weeks, so was nice to chat to her. I hadn't decided whether or not to tell her but she 'had a hunch' and asked me outright and I'm not very good at lying on the spot! :) I'm not doing a great job of keeping this quiet!!!!Blush

Tanya, I start to feel sick from about lunch time onwards (lasts til I go to sleep). Definitely afternoon / evening sickness for me!

Sorry for long post!! x

Evening all. How are you all feeling? I am ok, very nauseas throughout the day but food helps. Very bloated too - anyone know what I can take for that? Am trying desperately to eat healthily - no carbs but struggling now. The thought of weight gain actually panics me.

I still haven't told anyone other than dh but its pretty obvious - I clearly drank / went out more than i thought! I hate lying but trying to wait untill after I get my scan appt. I hope it doesn't take too long to come through....

tiany · 10/08/2011 22:10

happyland i have only told DH aswell -am scared to say anything before scan but will be shocked if my mam and sis havent figured it out by then!

freedom and babybrain - really sorry to hear your news, hope you are getting lots of cuddles and taking care of yourselves xx

sorry i have been quiet too - just too sick/tired to log on at night. Feeling ok at the moment but agree need to nibble every few hours to keep it at bay. It lasts pretty much all day...looking fwd to getting past this stage!

broodylicious · 11/08/2011 12:26

Hi ladies [waves]!
MS has turned up. I do not like it. Last week was awful - I can't tell if I'm going to be sick or if it's nausea so course I have to hot foot it to the loo to be sure Blush
Last week, Ginger biscuits worked and although I didn't finish a single meal, at least I was getting some food inside me. I also loved mini babybels and could stomach them as normal. Today though, I just threw up the one I had (almost whole actually - tmi, sorry!) and don't feel much like putting a thing in my mouth.
Any of you suffering? Are your tastes changing like mine too?

Tanya28 · 11/08/2011 13:56

finding sipping dilute orange juice is helping at the moment! lets hope it all passes for us all soon. Where is everyone from? wondered if we are scattered country wide..... I am in South Yorkshire

MakkaPakkasWilly · 11/08/2011 14:12

sigh
So sorry babybrain :( Big hugs and thinking of you. Rest up, get all the support you need x

So. Been in and out of GP this week, and for the last 3 months doing tests. Got a phonecall from them this morning.
I have to go to the diabetes clinic on the 17th. Diabetes!
WTF.

MS - all gone. Boobs - not so sore. Tiredness - present and correct. Stomach - expanding. Worry levels - high. Miscarriage fear - high (business as usual then).

10+6

KittyRogue · 11/08/2011 17:38

Broody, am getting ms too ALL day! I find eating little and often helps. loving apples and orange juice. Completely gone off tea and chocolate which I usually love :( hey ho 9 weeks tomorrow so not much longer (hopefully).

Tanya, I am based in Cambridgeshire

SantaLucia · 11/08/2011 19:06

Footfirst, yes - I'm due on 29th Feb according to GP. I thought it was March when I joined this thread and then just decided to stay on anyway as I'd kind of missed the boat for the Feb thread!

Babybrain - I'm so sorry to hear your news. Awful. I hope you are ok soon.

Makka your stress levels must be off the scale by now. No wonder you are worried about the pg . Hope all goes well for you at the clinic.

Raella sounds like the GP was right with the dates to me and you are just getting to the feeling better stage.

To all who have bloating and eating ridiculous (unhealthy) foods. You have my sympathy! If it makes you feel any better - the bloat WILL GO AWAY. I didn't believe this at 9 weeks but it is so much better now. Not depressed anymore either. Things are definitely on the up and at only 11 weeks. It was more like week 16 with my first pg. Yay! [tries not to worry about lack of symptoms].
