Found out on sunday that were expecting our first baby in march!! Some online due date calculators say the 8th and some say the 10th so im not quite sure which one is right!!

Ive got my 1st doctors appointment tomorrow to confirm things

Has anyone else got the BFP and wants to celebrate?

Hi all, got back from my hols today, so thought I should update you all. I went to the local a and e where we were on holiday last Saturday. They scanned and everything was fine... Was so happy to see my bean!!! They told me to get another scan when I got home. I continued bleeding til Wednesday. I called my surgery to try and get through to the midwife, I called the number they gave me and was told that I should call the hospital where I want to have the baby. Thinking that sounded a bit odd I questioned the person I was speaking to, who replied 'I don't know I'm just the admin staff' realising I was getting nowhere I called the surgery back and asked for a callback from the doctor.

Having not heard anything from them by mid afternoon I called them back and was told someone had cancelled my callback!!! I asked for them to put my name back on.

Anyway, I finally got a call and was told I would have to go into the surgery, then they will refer me to the epau and they will decide whether I need another scan or not... So am seeing the doctor at 9 in the morning.

If I'm honest I think it will be bad news. All my spymptoms have disappeared, and I just don't feel pregnant anymore.

Was a really difficult holiday, I just wanted to come home and find put what my body was doing.

Evening ladies

Kirstie sorry to hear of the stress your DP is putting you under - I imagine it is just the shock. It's a huge thing to get to grips with, especially for the dads who don't have the physical connection we have.

Chulita and Zeb hope you make lots of lovely courgette things! We didn't plant any this year, as the last time i just over planted completely (didn't expect so many to survive) and got serious courgette-fatigue...though didn't actually attempt any chocolate cake, which would have been good!

Foots welcome Smile

Waves to everyone else. Hope everyone's been having a good weekend.

We had a private scan yesterday and it was good [relief]. It was lovely to see the little blob and hear the heartbeat (DS found the whole thing fascinating too!). Though strangely, I don't feel that reassured despite this scan being spot on for dates so not at all like the scans before my MC. I compared it to the scan report I had for a scan with DS at 7 weeks and it's almost the same, which did reassure me a little. But still on major knicker check alert and counting down the days until the second trimester!

7+2

honeymoo - hi i remember you from last thread, congrats!! I am finding looking after dd1 exhausting - r u? also feeling guilty i dont have the energy to keep her entertained.

DH been a legend this weekend though and let me have two long sleep-ins!

nauseous, dizzy & biting the head off everyone...think i should avoid as many people as possible ;)

tiany · 07/08/2011 21:20

kirsty i agree probably a big shock for your partner, not that it excuses his response but he may be scared and need time to get his head around it. Hope you are ok though xx

To all with early bleeding - fingers crossed, i had bleeding until 13wks on dd1, its scary but if still heartbeat then really good sign xo

FlipFantasia · 07/08/2011 21:41

Babybrain sorry, I cross-posted with you and didn't see your update. Sorry to hear of all the stress you've been having - I just can't understand why getting to an EPU is so difficult even when you've been told by doctors you need a follow up scan. I really hope that everything will be fine with the next scan - the good scan last week is really positive.

freedom2011 · 07/08/2011 23:42

babybrain3 I'm thinking of you, especially as we got our BFPs around the same time. Let us know how it goes.

From my side I am out unfortunately. Finally miscarried this afternoon after 5 days of very heavy bleeding, went down the clinic to get it confirmed and D & C done and dusted by 11pm. They were all very kind though in an efficient kind of way.

Wishing you all event free pregnancies and healthy newborns in March 2012. I'm off to rest for a bit.

FlipFantasia · 08/08/2011 08:24

Freedom so sorry to hear that Sad. Take care of yourself and hope you have lots of RL support.

MakkaPakkasWilly · 08/08/2011 12:29

Freedom, so sorry to hear your news :(

Kirsty - I have no idea what I would do in your shoes. What is his issue??

Hello ladies

Sorry, I have been awol a bit. Had some other stresses this week.

Booking appt was last week, had to give 7 vials of blood. NICE.
Tomorrow and wednesday I have to do more bloods and an U/S of my liver to see if they can figure out why it's not working properly. I might ask them to turn the U/S sound on so I can check for a heartbeat Grin

I feel a bit flat. A bit stressed out with some stuff, also I just keep worrying I have had/will have an MMC. I had one before and I keep fretting. I know it's no good to anyone. I even hired a doppler which found nothing and that makes me wonder - was there nothing to find, or am I just too early to use a doppler?

Oh well.

10+3, and feeling generally pretty good except for a fucking massive gut and falling asleep at 7pm

zebedeethezebra · 08/08/2011 13:13

Just a quickie...

Anyone else holding their stomachs in at the office??

6+5

MakkaPakkasWilly · 08/08/2011 13:42

no. I just said the diet slipped. Given I eat like a horse it's not exactly beyond the realms of belief Grin

10+something

Footsfirst - I am 10 weeks and over the last couple of days have something fluttering. Have wondered, presumed I'm being silly and thought gas... I like your stories! With dd started to feel movement at 18 weeks. I agree - so so lovely.

Freedom - So sorry. Look after yourself.

MakkaPakkasWilly · 08/08/2011 16:08

The only fluttering I have had is wind.

I hope that fatty lala is in place and vigorously heart beating.
Although sometimes I am not sure why, the 2 I have are driving me mad

pommedechocolat · 08/08/2011 17:22

Ha! MPW - I know what you mean. Dd just recarpeted the kitchen with her tea and has spent the whole day whinging at me.

KittyRogue · 08/08/2011 17:28

Hey everyone!

Freedom, somsorry for your loss. 8+3 today and oh boy did the symptoms get worse over the weekend or what?! I feel like death!! Dizzy, sick and sleepy - yay!!!

laabama · 08/08/2011 20:55

freedom so sorry to hear your news. Take some time to rest and recover and hopefully you'll be back on another thread soon.

Makka and Zebedee I'm v glad to hear that others are also expanding. It's worrying given that I'm not quite 8 weeks. I've just taken to sitting at work with buttons undone!! :) I wasn't expecting any expansion for weeks yet!

Tanya28 · 09/08/2011 11:16

Hi and thanks for the welcome! Freedom I am sorry to hear the news, hope to see great news from you in the future.

In answer to your earlier question its my fourth ds 11,9 and dd 14 weeks (yes I know) and step mum to 3 too, so a busy household at time, oh and we collect our puupy tomorrow - am I brave or stupid my friend says brave as I am stupid maybe? :) .

zebedeethezebra · 09/08/2011 15:36

Freedom - sorry to hear your news. Fingers crossed for a happy pregnancy in the future.
