Anyone due in march??

Found out on sunday that were expecting our first baby in march!! Some online due date calculators say the 8th and some say the 10th so im not quite sure which one is right!!

Ive got my 1st doctors appointment tomorrow to confirm things

Has anyone else got the BFP and wants to celebrate?

Not sure about an early scan. I'll see what the doctor says,I don't want to take an appointment from someone who needs it more than me. It's funny, since I got my positive, I'm more pessimistic than I have been with my previous 2. So maybe a scan would go some way to stop that. I think maybe it's still a bit of disbelief that I'm actually pregnant, but also just a feeling that something is going to go wrong. So maybe a scan would ressure me and make it all a bit more real. I have been feeling rubbish, just not in the way I'd expect. Both of my previous pregnancies have seen me practically camped out in the bathroom with all day sickness. I'm only 5+1 so there's plenty of time for it to kick in, but all I feel is kind of low-level poo. Just tired and grumpy and faint. Dp got quite worried yesterday when I climbed some stairs and went very pale at the top. I really thought I was about to pass out

Bitsy glad the bleeding has stopped and fingers crossed for GP tomorrow. For early scans, I think it's worth waiting a couple of weeks - 7 weeks is the earliest some places will scan, as they'd expect to see a heart beat etc. Before that, it's hard to see much so you can end up having to go back after 10 days/2 weeks to check growth.

Happyland how did you manage to not tell DH immediately! I did my test at 5am and woke DH immediately - he later said he thought he'd dreamt it! For other people, I've told my mum and my best mum friend. Not telling my sisters, other best friends or colleagues until we know whether this bubs is sticking around or not. Last time, we told loads of people and I found it really stressful to then have to tell them I'd miscarried.

Very impressed with all the chicken keepers btw, especially the London ones! I'm also in London, and it's bees that I'd really like to keep. But would love to keep chickens some day too . All those fresh free-range eggs [yum].

PS Bitsy just re-read your post and saw that you wouldn't want to take an app from someone who needs it more. The EPU that treated me during my MC were really clear that they see any woman with cramps/bleeding/pain and they're glad when it's good news (I had a "threatened MC" initially so was scanned a few times). They said that when I got pregnant again they'd happily scan me even if I didn't have bleeding etc if I wanted the reassurance (which I will!).

Sadly had my miscarriage confirmed. Hoping for it all to be over asap. Take care everyone. x

hi KittyRogue, congrats! I'm due 17th March so similar time to you. I'm fairly new to the site also but I think DD mean Darling Daughter, DS is Darling Son etc though I could be wrong!
I've suddenly got loads of symptoms today, mainly exhaustion, nausea and dizzyness so longer worried about my lack of them.

I'm also due 17th March, but I just know I'll be late, both of mine have been 2 weeks overdue so I think I have developed a bit of a pattern. I am exhausted (still) and have horrid backache, which serves me right really after all the unnecessary tidying I've been doing. I have a crazy nervous energy. I think I'm retaining water already as I caught sight of my thighs today and dimply isn't the word Oh the joys

Bitsy - glad to hear bleeding has settled down for you, I have been getting faint at work and have managed by having regular snacks to keep my blood sugar up. I find it is always good to have a piece of fruit to hand.

Have had a bit of pinkish mucus today, but no blood apparently 7 weeks is when the placenta takes over the production of progesterone so I am hoping all is ok in there.

Have got my ECG to check my heart on the 27th am hoping the heart murmur is a temporary thing caused by the increase in blood volume and not something more serious. If it is I do not understand how I have got through a previous pregnancy and birth with it not being picked up .

A big hello and welcome to the new additions.

I've updated my dates and neurotically arranged us in order of EDD.

Had dinner with my friend who is 18+3 and was admiring her burgeoning belly. Can't wait for mine to look 'proper' and not just like I've been eating too many cakes!

Regarding the question of telling people, DP and I have decided to keep mum until we reach the 12 week mark (including the friend I mentioned above who I caught eyeing my midriff when I got up to go to the loo...) That said, I'm horrible at holding in good news so with DPs blessing have confided in my sister and one of my closest girlfriends (both live abroad and are good at keeping secrets). I also recently caved and told two of the contractors I'm currently working with as well -- mostly to cover my ass as I've been particularly exhausted and baby-brained for the past few weeks!

Anyway, hope everyone is feeling comfortable and confident.

Hey all - brilliant work with the ordering - I likey your style! Have moved myself to the 8th march - just before my birthday - niece was born on my Dads birthday so maybe we will have a bit of a family tradition! Fairly symptom free apart from very, very sore boobs - hurts to turn over in bed! Told OH that they feel like what I imagine his balls feel like if kicked - he reckons no way can they be that painful! Lol ;) xx

Hello everyone, I'm so pleased to see this thread
I'm due on March 9th (supposedly) but there's been a lot of confusion as I had to go to an early scan last week due to spotting. They couldn't see much, just a sac, so I'm either earlier on (3-5 weeks instead of 7) or it might not be viable (horrible phrase). It's been quite a s art process, especially as I had 2 negative tests before I got my positives 2 weeks ago!
I'm 23, live in London with my fiancé, my 5 year old step son (when he's not at his mums) and our ginger cat. It's a surprise but we are thrilled, I just hope everything is okay with the little one.

Symptoms wise I've been suffering with morning sickness, sore breasts, over heating and an odd pulling sensation in my abdomen. Oh abc the mood swings! It is however, completely worth it! My mum was shocked but she's been wonderfully supportive and excited.

hope you are all well - so sorry to hear your news, sudo :(

I am fine. Had a dinner party on Sat but just before the guests arrived we had a power cut and we lost power and water for 4 hours which made it somewhat challenging. Thank goodness I have a gas oven.
Sunday I was meant to be working but my client cancelled so had a nice chilled out day at home.

Went to the gym this morning - ugh. Why do I bother? Because I have gained 5lbs in a month is why

Pixelpeeper - me too! But I can't stop eating. I am so hungry and food makes me feel a lot less yuck. So I keep eating and keep gaining. Also am very constipated and gassy so look like I'm 5 months preggers rather than 6 plus 3 currently!

Gingersnap88 - Are you going back for another scan? Did they use the internal camera on you? Fingers crossed all fine and it's just too early.
