Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
tessasmum · 29/11/2005 12:31

Well done Busy, sounds like it was a good experience.
Quite jealous about the waterbirth and want to know all about it. Had planned to have Tessa in the water but they hauled me out when I got too comfy and things slowed down Labouring in water was fantastic though (possibly the reason for the above!) and its the only thing that would have tempted me into hospital this time round!

ohKARMAallyefaithfulMOTHER · 29/11/2005 12:54

Morning ladies,

just popping in to say hang on in there. I was sure I'd be well overdue too but I'm happy to be bump free.

DS is feeding like a dream & DP said last night he's coming round to the idea of the BFing. I know he'd love to feed her but he's graciously not complained, which is just what I need from him. Its wonderful seeing her lying on his chest....[dreamy-eyed emoticon]

Congrats to BAM! Sounds like a great birth & ALfie is a great name.

Predictions.....KristinaM, I think you'll have a girl. Chacha, I thinks you'll have a boy. Mystic-karma not sure about the others!!

KristinaM · 29/11/2005 13:06

Oh Karma - am so pleased that Dp is coming round. Are you going to express later so he can do some night feeds? If so it wont be long til he can do his share........

Glad Ella is feeding so well...hope my baby is as good. But hate to tell you...its almost def a boy!!!!! But since I have one of each and Dh has two of each already, we dont care if it s a boy or girl.

Please please tell me...when you say you are bump free, you dont mean you are flab free as well, do you??? Dont think I can cope with anothe one like Nova ( back to pre preg weight after a few weeks...)

ohKARMAallyefaithfulMOTHER · 29/11/2005 13:41

KristinaM, the mw said I looked skinny when she came this morning but I think she was just looking at my legs when she said it! My tummy is the size of about 18-20 wks PG, IYSWIM. I've been doing my pelvic floor exercises whe I can remember but the abdominal exercises have been lacking . I do have a tendency to have a "pot-belly", both my mother & sister had/have them. Don't worry, I'm quite happy to be carrying a bit of weight for the moment as it means I'm healthy. Last time, my IBS caused drastic weight loss which affected my health, so I'd rather be chubby & be able to produce jersey milk than be skinny & produce skimmed!!

Have you had your second sweep yet?

ChaCha · 29/11/2005 15:58

Hi Ladies,

Good to see you post here Beks, was wondering how you were Hi to Londoner, Tessasmum, Karma and all the other Nov mummies. Hope that everyone is well.

Thanks Kristina, think i'm in the same boat as you were. Have made a note of the cream though just in case. How was your appt? Any news?

Sarah - Where are you today? Hope all is well.

Lilj - Likewise, as I said this morning, we can console ourselves with the fact that there has to be an arrival before the 9th of December! I mean there just has to be..

Ventured out against my better judgement thinking that sitting in the car would be fine. Ended up looking for a bathroom every half hour or so...really must stay home now!
That's it for me, although I'll be logging in again later..hope one of us has some good news soon. Love x

RodeSnowRodeSnowRodeSnow · 29/11/2005 21:04

Jst wanted to send my love to all my ladies with bumps Do you like my Xmas name? Or is it crap? Can you tell who I am even?!

How many times have you heard the words 'Not long now'?!!!

RodeHoHoHo · 29/11/2005 21:08

Is this any better??

KristinaM · 29/11/2005 21:09

Hi girls, how are you all?

Spent a very tedious 3 hours going to/from/waiting at the hospital today. To see a MW for 5 mins and get a sweep. Am still only 1-2 cm although cervix is very soft. No action since then - I'm very discouraged. Suspect its an induction for me on 6th December

Will try to seduce Dh later. Poor man knows I only want him for his prostaglandin (sp?)

ChaCha · 29/11/2005 21:52

Hey Kristina - Disappointing i know! I'm not going to attempt the 'chin up' and 'fingers crossed' as am in ultra hormonal mode this evening. Feeling pants TBH, have gone from being optimistic to just being down right fed-up now and everything anyone says is just getting to me. Am not going to rant....breathe...!!

Right, will log off and sulk for a while. Rodeo, love your new name, very festive! x

KristinaM · 30/11/2005 09:37

I'm still here....anyone else???

ChaCha · 30/11/2005 11:10

Kristina, I'm still here (and feel that I always will be)! How are you doing anyway? What's your news?

I'm still not feeling myself. Had terrible sickness and diarrhoea last night and keep bursting into tears for no reason. Have lots of back pain and finding it v.hard to walk - keep thinking it has to be the start of something but then nothing! Baby seems to moving a lot more than usual which causes me extreme discomfort especially under ribs, i kind of feel sorry for him, there can't be much room in there

Feel tempted to call m/w and explain my feelings but as i've the consultancy tomorrow am going to mope around a bit, try and sleep when possible and take paracetemol when necessary. Think i've been pretty okay up until now so will just carry on. Feel better for writing that now too. My DH and DF are great but not like mum or girlfriends.

I'll check back after I've read other posts and log in later too. We have 13 hours to be November mummies.....LOL

Love M x

Londoner · 30/11/2005 11:48

Hi girls,

ChaCha, sounds like how I felt the day before going into labour..... hormonal rollercoaster, baby trying to 'escape' and inability to walk properly....... you're so close now!

Looking forward to seeing you all on 'the other side' v.soon.... you won't defect to December club if babies aren't here today will you? You will still come back to us [melodramatic emoticon]?

ohKARMAallyefaithfulMOTHER · 30/11/2005 12:43

Just want to say hang in there, can't be much longer.

KristinaM, good luck with the BDing, hope it's not too painful!

Chacha, sounds like you're body is getting ready. I know this sounds rediculous right now, given your emotional state, but cherish your bump during it's last few days. You'll soon be feeling those kicks from the other side!

novabrandybutterpowder · 30/11/2005 13:09

hey there bumpy ladies!

hope you're all keeping well. there's not much i can say as i'm sure you've heard it all a million times, so just to let you know the nov mummies are thinking of you, and we will not let you defect to the dec club!

xx

ChaCha · 30/11/2005 15:14

Anybody out there?

Thanks Londoner, Karma and Nova I'm feeling a lot better this afternoon, hoping that it lasts.
Oh well, looks like our little boy is going to be a December baby then. Funnily enough, December the 1st was the first date I was given by my obstetrician but was later moved fwd by m/w (LMP) and sonographer (dating scan), who knows...

Hoping to post some good new soon x

ChaCha · 30/11/2005 16:14

Okay...so you've all gone and left me.... I knew it!!!!!

Tell those babies to wait for me!!!!!!!!

tessasmum · 30/11/2005 16:28

Hang in there ChaCha it can't be long now

We won't let any of you defect to the December thread, if necessary we will come and forcibly remove you. We have been in this too long together to go anywhere else now!

Sending 'hurry up' vibes to bumps who should be babies!

LilJ · 30/11/2005 16:32

I think we should hold onto the Nov thread even though we'll have December babies - there's so few of us left and I'm, not sure the Dec. mums-to-be will be able to really understand our frustrations!!

ChaCha - sounds like you are on your way!! V. exciting and you've got a few hours left in November still

SarahSausage has disappeared so maybe having baby as we post?

Nothing much happening here. Baby was very active last night and I was wondering how much is too active? For instance the baby has just kicked 6 times in a row - is that frantic? My DH keeps on saying I should ring the midwife and ask, but I'd feel foolish as I don't think six kicks is too much.

Anyway hope everyone is well and having babies as I type this. I really, really wan't wait until I have this baby! My Mum said that all this waiting makes you forget about being scared of labour - she definitely has a point as I haven't even contemplated the pain.

J xx 40+5

jinglediddle · 30/11/2005 16:58

gatecrash alert
chacha - hope baby arrives soon, you must be so fed up.

I think you should all hang onto your due in November thread, because you were due in November, maybe baby didn't realise that. fart oo warm and cosy in your tums. i know where i'd rather be at this time of the year.

will be looking forward to seeing your post tomorrow chacha saying how you've delivered, and that baby is doing well.

ChaCha · 30/11/2005 17:12

LOL @ Gatecrash alert Diddle Love your festive name too .. Thanks for the encouragement, but don't hold your breath!

Lilj - I was just saying the same this morning, baby has been very active all of a sudden (and boy can it hurt!) and I was a tad concerned. I did mention this to the consultant a couple of weeks back when I had the sore ribs to which he replied it was fine and not to worry that the concern is usually when the baby is not active as opposed to the contrary. Maybe a good sign?!? I honestly don't think they have enough room in there now.

Kristina hasn't posted since the morning and SS hasn't posted for a couple of a days... I often wonder what happened to BoB..she was so cheery and chatty...I do hope all is well with her.

Right..I am back in cleaning mode. What on earth do you ladies do who have cleaners then eh? It's all I'm ever doing these days..

We are laydeeeeez..

flutterbee · 30/11/2005 17:15

Hi ladies that are left, just popping over from December thread, I was due 18/12/05 but George popped out on 11/11/05 so really I should be with you Novembers but it seems such a shame to move having made such good friends so I think you should do the same. Also Chacha the feelings you have described are exactley what I had for a few days before I popped so good luck to you it won't be long now.

novabrandybutterpowder · 30/11/2005 17:39

ooo flutterbee i don't think you'll be popular with telling the ladies left on here that your baby was early , quick - run before they throw something...

Chacha - I often wonder what happened to BoB too, it seems so out of character for her to just stop posting like that...

flutterbee · 30/11/2005 17:47

Yes I did think of that after I had posted and I am now hiding in a small cupboard but don't tell the girls

ChaCha · 30/11/2005 17:59

LOL Nova

Hi Flutterbee, thanks for yet more encouragement. Hope baby George is doing well and a very belated congratulations if i hadn't mentioned it before.

LilJ - I was just thinking about what you said (as you do when changing the bedding) and funnily enough I haven't been thinking much about labour either in the past few days, just when he is going to arrive..certainly has taken my mind of it.

KristinaM · 30/11/2005 18:08

Hey chacha- how's the housework doing? No we don?t have a cleaner but I've hardly cleaned for weeks. Well to be honest I don?t much enjoy it anyway and I find hoovering and cleaning floors etc too hard now with this big bump. Fortunately Dh does nesting by cleaning so we are a good pair. Mine is more getting things organised, decorating, sorting out stuff. I am still ok at food shopping, cooking, tidying, all the laundry and childcare. But yes I suppose I am a lazy slob.......

Chacha - I think the D&V is meant to be one of the signs that baby might be on his way. But you know how sceptical I am about these things.... probably coz I had the runs for several weeks a few weeks ago. And I've been having cramps for about 2 weeks.

Today I did the final bits of Christmas shopping; including DDs request for a "brown skinned" baby Annabelle (officially called, strangely, "ethnic? baby Annabelle). She has a white one already and this was to be its friend. Then she announced at tea that she has changed her mind. She wants the changing table instead. I must have looked crest fallen as she asked, " Oh mummy, will it hurt Santa?s feelings? "

Don?t fancy another 3 hour round trip tomorrow to return it........

Our exciting news is .... no not the baby......that we got our new car today. Not brand new you understand just new to us. It?s a Fiat Multipla (don?t laugh). I know it?s not very cool but it?s very practical as it?s a 6 seater but will still take the double buggy. Most of the 7 seaters wont. Our current car won't take 3 child seats in the back so we couldn?t go anywhere together once baby arrives. Or when DSD is home from uni. I am very excited - it?s the newest car I've never had and I'm too scared to drive it in case something happens.

Lil ? glad to hear you are also having signs?hope to hear some good news soon

Like you I assume that Sarah has maybe had her baby. Are you out there sarah????
