I had weird looking after a newborn dream last night - just feeling totally out of my depth - can't imagine I was that far from the truth!

We had one couple not even make it to the first NCT class as they had their baby 7 weeks early! We are all due in Sept and the lady pointed out we could all potentially have the baby on the same day Shock

KateeTheBump · 29/07/2011 20:24

Hmm the nesting instinct seems to be kicking in early with me, heaven help me. Just spent two hours scrubbing the oven front, top, extractor fan (which hasn't been cleaned in about 4 years so was revolting) and various cupboard fronts, windows... I honestly don't know what has got into me, normally I run a mile from cleaning! Grin very satisfying though. And no, I'm not going to do your house for you...

v quickly, Claudia Robyn born today after brutally efficient augmented labour of 1.5hrs. tiny tear, no stitches, feeding well, blood sugar normal. she is lovely :)

Eskarina · 30/07/2011 08:19

Congratulations Star, gorgeous name, and of course she is lovely. Hope you continue to do so well.
xxx

vallinnapod · 30/07/2011 08:48

Congrats Star!! Lovely name and clearly a lovely child giving your fanjo such respect Grin

Enjoy these early days xxxx

NCT all day today and then taking DH out to celebrate him getting a new job. Should be fun - too nice weather to be inside all day. That said I wish I could say in so I could hang out sans top half of clothing. My boobs, especially my nips are so itchy I could take a cheese grater to them!

vallinnapod · 30/07/2011 08:48

Oh, should have bragged said, officially on mat leave [grin[

Baby2b · 30/07/2011 11:03

Congrats Star, beautiful name. Does augmented mean induced?

Yay to starting maternity leave!

I brought my oyster pram and car seat home yesterday. Super small and easy to manoeuvre. Got the funniest look from a woman when I was on the way to the car she tried to peek in and realise it was empty and then gave me a shocked look Grin

Love the name for the next thread. Hope everyone has a fab weekend on the sunshine. I'm off for a swim (float) now Smile

Baby2b · 30/07/2011 11:04

Too many spelling errors to correct Blush

Baby2b · 30/07/2011 11:09

P.s. Treated myself to yummy mummy changing bag...amazing! Really can't afford it, but it's on the credit card now Wink

nickelbabe · 30/07/2011 12:39

Baby2b · 30/07/2011 12:45

Thank you, I don't know what I did, but got lots of weird articles when I googled.

nickelbabe · 30/07/2011 12:48

I'm a google expert now! (have to be in my job! Grin )

Dynababy · 30/07/2011 14:09

Congratulations Star beautiful name! Glad it went well.

Looks like I'm definately getting the induction tomorrow despite best efforts at ALL natural induction methods I can find - my boy is still inside Sad.

Scan yesterday showed he is in right position and placenta etc OK so on with the show ... Nice to read a good induction story before going in Smile

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 30/07/2011 14:41

Grin aStar Congratulations and welcome to the newest mini viroid! Grin

Dyna there is still time for you LO to beat the induction, DD arrived the day I was booked in. Otherwiseall the best for tomorrow and just remind yourself you'll have a beautiful new baby at the end of it Grin

Just found out I'm going to be an Aunt in late March Grin. Unplanned, but much wanted by my older sister and her fiance. Grin

Good luck for tomorrow Dyna. A good friend of mine had an induction and it went very quickly and smoothly too. Are you booked into eri? Had a scan there on Wednesday and thought the staff were amazing Smile. Hope you aren't struggling in this heat.

Baby2b · 01/08/2011 11:13

It is very quiet on here. Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Dyna, looking forward to hearing news about your little one Smile

KateeTheBump · 01/08/2011 14:04

I think we're all waiting with baited breath to hear from dyna Wink

Congratulations on your new arrival AStar, enjoy her! Smile

How are all the rest of you viroids?

nickelbabe · 01/08/2011 14:13

yy waiting for dyna Grin

I'm feeling okay today.
think i'm generally tired, but still can't sleep!
I don't care though, about that, cos i feel well.

have a wasp flying round my head. Hmm

When will DH be able to feel movements? i'm getting bored of it now, because I can feel the kicks and the thumps and the general moving about, but he can't feel it at all!

KateeTheBump · 01/08/2011 14:23

We find that DP can't feel them very well if we're sat on the sofa (his hand is tense from having to reach across), but can feel them if I'm lying on my back or side in bed. Try and get your DH to relax his hand, that might help. Another thing I've noticed is that if anyone tries to feel my bump with hot hands squiglet immediately goes quiet, so it might be temperature related? Best thing to do is wait until isbn does a lot of kicks in one place, then put his hand there?

nickelbabe · 01/08/2011 14:55

thanks for the tips :)

i'm not panicking or anything, I just want him to be able to join in!
