Ha! I made it to the next thread.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Baby2b · 21/07/2011 17:48

Well, with the raspberry tea and managing the odd js I feel I am still a contender in the race Grin

Pmsl, at woodchip smelling star. I still only have the milkshake craving. Though as my sister said the other day, why wouldn't you want a milkshake?!Smile

Baby2b · 21/07/2011 17:50

Val do you add sugar or honey to your tea? Slightly worried about my sugar intake as I up the number of cups, but couldn't drink it without it.

vallinnapod · 22/07/2011 09:25

Nope - just have it plain. It's like any fruit tea - smells taty, tastes of bugger all Grin

Hmm at the JSing. I am either knackered or DH is out. We have had very little throughout. The first trimester we were paranoid about MC, I was then really horny and DH got the jitters and now I just feel agrieved that if we did get down to it I would have to do most of the work Wink. Plus I am really adverse to any sort of touching again....poor DH.

B2B agree with you on the cravings front. Mine are still meat fuelled but to be honest, I am pretty sure I'd want to go out for steak anyway Grin

vallinnapod · 22/07/2011 09:26

taty?! I believe I meatn tasty although tatty would cover it too!

Baby2b · 22/07/2011 09:34

I'm not sure there will be jsing for too much longer as I feel too pregnant most of the time. A couple of nice nighties have helped so far. I can't wait for some missionary BlushGrin

Baby2b · 22/07/2011 09:35

I didn't even see that, not one to judge a good typo Smile

NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 22/07/2011 10:07

fuck, i feel like shit this morning. :(

I woke up in the middle of the night with the worst stomach ache - not pains, but ache, right at my middle, feels like I'm being squased to death.
I got up, went to the toilet, then spent the next 3 hours tossing and turning being unable to sleep or get into a position where t he pain was lessened.

then DH got up for work, and I tried the toilet again. and i grabbed a pillow to put under the bump, in case it was pulling at me.
then i spent the next 2 hours moving it from back to front and backagain, as i kept turning over etc.
I had two really cool dreams, though, interlinked! in my 2 sessions of deep sleep.
got up at 7, to get some Settler's and some paracetamol.
settler's first, didn't work, so 2 paras and 40 minutes sleep!!

I am now writhing in agony, and it's making me feel really sick and clammy.
:( :( :(

I haven't been able to eat breakfast, but have had some juice, and I had a ginger biscuit, which has done nothing.

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 22/07/2011 11:06

That doesn't sound good Nickel. Maybe you ought to get yourself checked out to be on the safeside (either that or some time soon you're going to do massive fart).

OP posts:
NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 22/07/2011 11:09

Grin massive fart.
thanks, that's cheered me up! Grin

I'm crunching on gaviscon sweets at the moment.
I've already retched but not vomitted.
my assistant has come in at very short notice to cover me while I have a nap, so we'll see how I feel in an hour or so.

KateeTheBump · 22/07/2011 12:00

Gah MN just ate my post!

The upshot of what I posted was... I had a similar thing last night as I had a while back, tummy distended, heartburny, felt a bit sick, tummy hurt etc. and took a good gulp of gaviscon and a lot of fidgeting to get to sleep in anything like a comfy position (also couldn't lay on my back for the first time ever, made me feel all weird!)

What I was going to say Nickel, is that the only thing that got rid of the pain last time was puking, which was unpleasant, but that and then making myself relax seemed to work and the pain magically went away. If you're feeling sick and tummy hurts, you may be best making yourself sick if you can face it, as you'll be doing yourself a favour... also try and sleep propped up if you can so the acid can't escape so easily.

Hope you feel better soon!

Dynababy · 22/07/2011 12:42

Oh dear all viroids seem to be falling to bits Shock

Now 2 days overdue but was wondering if might be having signs... I went out for pizza last night with NCT class .. when we got in felt really sick and had some crampy feelings and stabbing pain in fanjo .. then this morning had more cramps at 7 then woke me up again at 9:30 .. got up and was promptly sick ... is this a sign labour might be slowly coming to me??

Sorry everyone else is felling equally shtty!! Nickel hope you feel better soon. Val and B2B* defo been feeling tired like I had been at the start but no other early day symptoms until now..

KateeTheBump · 22/07/2011 12:50

Ooh sounds promising dyna!

A word of warning by the way, to any viroids that might be seduced by mamas and papas changing mats... Wink I got a £20 gift voucher and we went to the shop and that was about all I could find - the Gingerbread deluxe changing mat - £23.40 reduced from £30... ridiculously expensive, but it looked quite nice. Anyhow, got it home and found that the towelling mat and cushion on the top are held in place by 4 velcro dots, 2 of which were about an inch further up than they should have been, so therefore didn't hold it in place... have since read the online reviews and they all say don't buy it as the covers shrink and the mats split in no time... so back to the drawing board... thankfully they have promised a full refund!

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 22/07/2011 12:51

Oh Dyna, you realise you have to post everyday now so that we don't start assuming you've had Babydyna (when actually you're just asleep or something Grin)

OP posts:
Dynababy · 22/07/2011 13:02

COAFF hoping it labour coming rather than dodgy pizza! I don't think I'll be straying far from home so will keep you updated Wink

vallinnapod · 22/07/2011 15:40

Ohhh, Dyna...fingers crossed and legs akimbo Wink

Katee I cannot believe how much of a rip off changing mats are. I have (2) precious bear ones fomr MC. In the sale for £10 something but they are plain and basic bar the towelling cover. I would say go cheap and just replace it when it splits - unless anyone has a tip for a good quality one?

NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 22/07/2011 16:14

katee - yuck! [boak]
Grin
I did retch several times, so thought I was going to be sick without help, but nothing came out.
haven't been able to poo either. Hmm
anyway, I managed to go to sleep once assistant arrived, and slept about an hour, thought, ooh, i feel better, so got up. I walked as far as the kitchen and retracted that thought! ow! :(
so I made a cup of tea and got a slice of cake, then went back to my sick bed( well settee) for another sleep.
the next time I woke up, after about an hour and a half, I thought I felt better, so I went to the toilet, and actually did feel better. :)
so my skin has now either grown to fit me again, or my body has shrunk to fit my skin. Grin
So glad assistant was available, because I really did need that rest (i had been struggling to live before she got here, and kept crying from the pain. :( )

NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 22/07/2011 16:15

ooh, just noticed what you said about sleeping propped up - the second time I slept, i was sort of sitting/slouching against cushions rather than lying down. maybe that did help then :)

vallinnapod · 22/07/2011 16:26

Glad you are feeling a bit better Nickel.

NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 22/07/2011 16:46

thanks :)

Baby2b · 22/07/2011 16:50

Good luck Dyna, very exciting! Grin

Glad you are feeling a little better Nickel. Sleeping sitting up def helps me. I actually have a book question for you. I was wondering if you could recommend a book or two for a 7 year old princess girl. No hurry, just trying to organise the next few birthdays on my list.

NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 22/07/2011 16:58

i take it she's a bit of a girly girl then? Grin
I'll have athink - trying not to recommend the Rainbow Magic or Darcy Bussell, because they're too obvious....

Eskarina · 22/07/2011 16:58

Glad you're feeling better Nickel that sounds nasty.

Good luck Dyna, I hope it was labour starting so you're not waiting around longer.

I am now unofficially on maternity leave! (unofficial because it's the school holidays so I'd be off anyway and for pay purposes I'm not officially off until due date). It seems weird because it was the end of term and everyone was packing up to go anyway and I was just doing the same, except that I'm not going back in September (apart from to show off Squig of course)

Baby2b · 22/07/2011 17:10

Yes Nickel, complete with shiny shoes and a pink bedroom Grin. I am clueless for that age group, so don't worry if suggestion seems obvious.

Yay to summer holidays Esk. Will be fab just floating in for a visit come September Smile

vallinnapod · 22/07/2011 18:12

Oh, yeah Esk! Thus is my last weekend before everyday is the weekend Grin

Just got totally a wee bit freaked out Blush My right boob leaked in front of my very eyes Shock I also naively thought it all came put of one hole not lots of little ones [totallynaive emoticon]

Eskarina · 22/07/2011 22:06

What am I going to do with myself though? I have lots of washing to do so that Squig actually has clothes etc but that doesn't seem very appealing. But there could be nearly 5 weeks of waiting. Can't I just have a baby next saturday and get it over and done with?

Val I think you may have to get used to more than leaking if you're planning on breastfeeding Grin
