takethatlady · 01/07/2011 19:40

Yaaaaaaaay confessions I'm so excited and happy for you - congratulations on what sounds like a good birth, too :)

Still stop-start over here, though things feel like they're picking up again.

Congrats again confessions, and here's some sort of thread prize (the anti-kipper) for winning the race! :)

Eskarina · 01/07/2011 19:41

Ooh and go go go TTL xx

BrassicaBabe · 01/07/2011 20:17

And thanks for the laughs in the other posts. (press 1...snort) Grin

NervousNelly · 01/07/2011 20:20

Oh Crowette has just shared the news so thought I'd drop in to say congratulations to coaaf. Good Scottish name too :). Hope lovely new-baby cuddles make it all worthwhile. Waving hello from about 30 miles away!

good luck to TTL too! Fingers crossed it won't be long now.

aStarInStrangeways · 01/07/2011 20:30

Hooray COAAF, that is bloody brilliant news and has made me smile after a shite afternoon :) :) :) So happy for you, Mr Fanjo and all the little Fanjos Grin

Come on baby ttl

takethatlady · 01/07/2011 22:12

Oh yeah, forgot to say PMSL at b2b's voicemail service Grin Grin Grin

Eskarina · 01/07/2011 22:29

Yes, love the voicemail service idea...DH does telephony software as his job... I wonder if he could rig something to our answerphone!

I've had a weird day. It started with what turned out to be a dream - same one twice in fact that it was 9.30am and I'd just woken up. Obv very later for work and I was trying to get out of bed to call school to explain that i was ill (I'm not) but couldn't. Got very annoyed, especially the second time the dream happened. Then I woke up (really really) and it was 5am and I didn't really sleep again after than. No chance of being late for work then! Consequently have been knackered and slightly disoriented all day.

Loving Vallinna's sleep-talk rantings!

Baby2b · 01/07/2011 22:56

Congratulations coaf! Beautiful name. Very jealous of baby smell and cuddles Smile

Joins pom pom team for ttl x

BrassicaBabe · 02/07/2011 11:46

Oh for the love of God.....I've had enforced Corrie this week on the shared telly, so why oh why do we have to watch the omnibus too?!?

In other news.....we're going home today!! Proper update when I get my mits on my laptop.

Go Go ttl

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 02/07/2011 11:57

Good news on your escape BB! Seeing what you had to put up with makes me very very happy all went smoothly and I could take the 6 hour discharge option! Hope all goes well for you having 2 LOs at home Grin.

Hoping TTL's silence today means she's busy with new baby too.

OP posts:
vallinnapod · 02/07/2011 11:58

Wooo hoo!! Good lord though, Corrie Wink

takethatlady · 02/07/2011 12:17

Thanks ladies! Had another night of horrible bastard contractions but they've petered out again. They were every ten minutes for ten hours and very painful, but according to the hospital this can go on for a week Shock. Just trying to enjoy the respite and relax a bit at the moment. Had to tell my mum as I've been ignoring her calls for two days and if it's going to keep going on I can't keep up the pretence - of course she wanted to jump in the car and come straight up, but I think she's restrained herself. Couldn't bear to have anyone but DH here at the moment - the house is so small and I really feel the need to have all these contractions in peace, without anybody else trying to help me or fuss over me.

Yay bb, not a moment too soon, eh? Wink Have an amazing first day/night back at home with your LOs :) And a lovely day for you and Alba and DH and DS too coaaf :)

Come on baby, come out!!!

BamBam21 · 02/07/2011 13:16

Huge congratulations COAAF. Beautiful name too.Smile

Also, belated congratulations to BB! Enforced Corrie is worse than labour IME! Glad you are escaping.Grin

Good luck TTL. Hope it won't be long now.

aStarInStrangeways · 02/07/2011 15:00

ttl I fully sympathise, I couldn't bear the idea of someone flapping around me while my body geared up for birth. You need this time to just focus on you, sod everyone else.

BB jesus, enforced Corrie or the like = my idea of hell. Did you all have to sit around discussing it afterwards?

nickelbabe · 02/07/2011 15:41

congratulations confessions ! GrinGrinGrin

Beautiful name sounds so poetical. :)

Good luck ttl - must be a bloody nightmare. :(

takethatlady · 02/07/2011 16:48

Hey bambam! Long time no see :)

I told you guys I lost my mucous plug the other week. I definitely did not Grin. I just lost it now. When they say mucous, they really mean mucous Blush Grin. For a really ridiculous second I thought it was the baby coming out Blush

Just glad it means something is genuinely happening ...

nickelbabe · 02/07/2011 16:53

uuuuueeerrgh!!! [boak]

Grin
takethatlady · 02/07/2011 16:58

nickel, you can say that again.

It was only compounded by the fact I yelled out to DH to bring me a maternity pad and five minutes later he stuck a nipple shield round the door Grin. Men

fraktious · 02/07/2011 18:13

Mine was 2 or 3 palm sized chunks of greenish yellow stuff Grin Gives a whole new meaning to pant snot!

Losing plug to birth was less than 24 hours for me TTL!

Eskarina · 03/07/2011 08:37

Grin at DH not knowing which is a maternity pad and which is a nipple shield TTL He is going to know what to do with a nappy isn't he??
Hope all is going well and you have a baby by now.

We finished painting the nursery yesterday which I'm insanely pleased about (think DH is incredibly relieved that I'll stop going on and on and on about it too!) We just need to buy a chest of drawers to go in there and we could be about ready.
DH is in complete denial that this baby could be on it's way really quite soon. He caught me making a start on my hospital bag - just some packets of enormous pants from Matalan and some new slippers etc that I didn't want to start using before going into hospital. (I bought big pants last week, tried them on and liked them so have been wearing them since - different pairs you understand Blush). He couldn't understand that with 6 weeks to EDD that baby arriving in 3 weeks is not at all impossible. Of course he thinks 8 weeks is much more realistic and he's probably right!
