oh my goodness i cant keep up there's so many of you!! but have had a quick read through of the last page!!

oeisha- how tall are you? (missed that bit!) if you find any clothes for us short-arses let me know, im 5'0 and never find anything to fit!

fala- sorry about your mums reaction. I felt strange telling my mum about this PG (also our third) and was surprised she was OK with it (though was a bit reserved), but is now really happy for us. Hope your mum comes around soon.

i have my scan tomorrow!! and i feel huuge! i've put on 6 lbs since being pregnant, and i swear i felt baby kicking yesterday. not bubbles, proper taps. But surely not so early??? i think with DD2 it was 14 weeks. Im desperate not to put on loads of weight like last time as it took a lot of work to shed off, but the first trimester i've been eating loads of carbs to keep sickness at bay :( but am off for a swim later to burn off the jaffa cake (or two) I indulged in earlier.
DH got the job in milton keynes so we are having to relocate there, am stressing over it as its too far to easily look at areas/properties, and just have so much to think about/organise/look at schools for DD ahhhhh!!!!!!

falabalamb poor you!!!! oh my goodness. I know what it's like to have a crappy mother. After a stupid episode I ended up in exasperation telling mine if she didn't behave herself she wouldn't get to come to my wedding, or see her grandchild, and that seemed to do the trick because she's been as good as gold for 18months.. fingers crossed....
try and do your best to ignore her and feel sorry for her being so bitter and twisted, and concentrate on loving yourself and your little bean.

Oeisha i so know that feeling of being joyous cos you've managed to eat something normal like an apple!! Don't know about you but I try and go to sleep as much as possible to try and make this first trimester go a bit quicker so I can get to the good bit where I don't feel like a sickly ill thing.

as for nicknames, ours is called different things depending what size it is, but always ending with Pig - ie, BeanPig, FigPig, LimePig. This is because the cats nickname is LongPig and mine is SnorePig recently!!!

all went great with the scan! baby has a big brain saw it clear on the scan!! baby is soo not a morning baby it was not that active, we saw the baby streaching and it was layed on his/her tummy. but the person doing the scan waincd i know everything is fine baby is now 2.5 incd i know everything is fine baby is now 2.5 inchs. it was just amamzing. next scan is 7th september so hopefully baby is more awake for that one!!

NO cravings as such. But I am really enjoying forgotten foods/drinks. Living on Lemon juice just now. Not Lemonade though, bubbles dont agree with me just now.

Dreamgeni - very mixed reviews. Iv found that people either love or hate it. Im still undecided but look on Ebay as you should be able to get it a bit cheaper there.

Hi everyone, I haven't been here since April or May time, although I have been lurking every so often. After 4 miscarriages all at stages 5-7 weeks in the past 1.5 years, I have actually gotten to nearly 15 weeks with this pregnancy. I wasn't confident enough to write my due date on this list back in April when I found out I was pregnant again, but I think I am ready to add my details to the list finally. Hopefully I might stay here until the end! Just wanted to quickly say that I am living off cloudy lemonade - even drinking it for breakfast!

I also noticed that the list of women who have sadly left due to miscarriages has been lost somewhere along the way, so hope you don't mind I am putting it back on.

May I join up now??? Am 14wks 5days and, boy, has it been a long last 10weeks!!! EDD 9.1.12.......After 3 mcs, have really not thought about this as being a ''baby'...more like when you are TTC and waiting for that thin blue line.....self preservation I guess...but after 3 scans, then hearing bubs' little heart pounding away when saw midwife on Tuesday and then eventually losing that bloat and getting the sticky out uterus bump...yes, I am letting myself think that I really am having a BABY!!!!!!! : )

I'm much better today. Kept everything down so far! [hgrin] No need to take ginger as no nausea!

Silly, I know, and probably not as only 13wks with DC1, but I keep getting little feelings in my belly, very much towards the front and where it feels like bump is (sort of an inch above bikini line to belly button). They're like scrapings/pushings - like someone's running a finger along my belly, for a couple of cms. I have IBS and whilst it's probably wind, it just doesn't feel like anything I've had before (I can usually feel wind go round my belly over time, and then there's the inevitable fart...this isn't that...I'm getting that too). But it doesn't feel like bubbles or flutters, like wot ppl are telling me I should get (much later on, say 20wks), a few little 'punches'/gentle jabs but not bubbles...

Anyone else getting this? Could this be Yolkis, or am I hatching a tapeworm too!? Trying not to find it anything more than wind/random spasms, but was just walking back from local shop and got a few of them...they've been with me on and off for about 4 days now...usually when I'm relaxing in bed...but sometimes utterly randomly.

debs39 I have a very similar story to yours - I couldn't accept I was having a baby until I started hearing the hb on the doppler and feel random thuds and flutters throughout the day. I had 5 early scans to make sure things were developing properly, and even now, I sometimes don't believe I will end up having a baby. I just have to force myself to keep positive. I'm 14+6 today! Very similar due dates too!

So glad to hear you are starting to feel some flutters Oiesha and milkyways, I've had a couple of feelings that i think might be the baby but not totally convinced it isn't wind yet! I guess they will get stronger over the coming weeks and I'll be able to tell for sure!

How is everyone's sickness today? I've found it has vastly improved in recent weeks, though it still creeps up on me if i go for longer that 2-3 hours without eating. Feel like I'm eating way more than usual, but my body seems to be using everything up as I've only gained 3 pounds-ish so far, and I'm not holding back - if I fancy it it's consumed as fast as i can get my hands on it!

Thanks everyone for being so nice, you made me cry even more, she's since suggested that I abort the baby and all because she doesn't think our house is big enough, she's helped us with building work and feels we're being ungrateful! I knew that she wouldn't be the most positive but this is just unforgivable behaviour. We usually have a good relationship, she does have a history of very mild mental illness but I've never experienced anything like this before. I'm kind of numb now, but feeling a lot better having spoken to lots of friends and family who are really supportive and can't believe her behaviour either.
I haven't felt flutters exactly but had the very wierd sense that my centre of gravity has shiftts, as though baby has lurched (could also be wind or possibly a very big tapeworm OEISHA ).
Really glad to hear people are starting to feel more confident in their pregnancies, we're all plodding along slowly aren't we.
Does anyone know how accurately they can tell the sex of the baby at 14 weeks? I had a student sonographer yesterday and (I don't think she was supposed to) she asked if we wanted to know the sex (yes) and then said that although it was early days and she couldn't be certain, she thought it was a boy. I'm trying not to start thinking of it as boy or girl as I know these things are really uncertain but of course it's at the back of my mind now!!

falabalamb Glad to hear you've got lots of support round you. Your Mum really is struggling...does she have a support network round her to help her?

It shouldn't be you...it really shouldn't.

Could she be worried about having her support 'taken away'? And, essentially, without meaning to, giving any excuse to prevent it going away even further?
I've fallen into this trap before and it made my life very, very stressful (on top of own helath issues, made me loose my job). I definatly won't be providing that sort of support again. Me, Yolkis, Dh and my furrbabies are my priorities (ok, I don't always manage it, but I try damn hard).

My maternity clothes came today - size 16/short leg from next. Fit beautifully. What's even better is my trousers have a fold down bump layer which means I can wear them now, which is just as well as people fall over when they hear I am only 16 weeks as they believe from the size of my bump that I must be 20 weeks!

I have recovered from my nasty tummy bug earlier in the week but I am now knackered. My school have just finished their production of 'Beached' at Bridlington Spa. Only 25% of the children attended (parents pulled their children out because of Lee Hall's publicity stunt with the national newspapers and television - even went global! What a farce!). On a postive note, the children were incredibly fabulous. My Year One children's behaviour was impeccable and bless them they lined themselves up ready to go and strut their stuff on stage. They were playing toddlers in shopping trolleys!?! Totally unphased by the whole stage and audience thing. But I am so glad it is over. What should have been a brilliant end to two years work with Opera North was tainted.

Tomorrow I will have a well deserved rest!

Crikey Mum2b270 busy days!Glad to hear you're recovered. I don't know how I'm going to cope if we gof or DC2, as Yolkis is making me sooo friggin tired I barely have the energy for anything else bar 'existing.'
I've got my next jeans coming into local store next week, so fingers crossed I have the same luck as you!

Still not 100% convinced I'm pregnant, despite signs/symptoms/scan/possible movements. Not sure I'm gonna believe it 'til Yolkis is a proper big bump, still think it could all be a tapeworm...

oeisha The movements you have described definitely sound like baby movements! Mine are a mix between flutters and "thuds" and "jabs". I mostly get little thuds. I actually started feeling the baby at 10.5 weeks. I didn't believe it at first, but during my 11 week scan at the EPU, the sonographer was showing me the baby, and he/she suddenly made an erratic movement on screen and I felt a strong thud in my belly where the sonographer was pressing down! Definitely not tapeworm!!!!

Just quick from me tonight as totally exhausted from spending the afternoon painting pottery with dd. We have a plate with flowers on that she was very proud of due to be fired but the combination of her 3 pals wore me out depsite a large choc milkshake for energy and er calcium purposes!
BellasYummymummy - we relocated to the MK area a couple of years ago for same reason and are really happy here. It was also hard to do the house hunting thing from afar but let me know if you want any advice regarding areas etc. It's really green and our local school is excellent and we haven't regretted leaving London for here so far, so try not to worry.

Oh, for those that are interested in 'the great trouser hunt' [btw I'm a 14short in trousers] I went into my local Next with reference numbers and the assistant..well..
"Yes, it's rediculous [re website t&cs]. You're right not to sign up". [hhmm]

So I ordered some to come into store (gives them some trade too at a rather sticky time locally), had to pay there and then, but will get a refund if they dont' fit.
I'm also investing in some bump-bands from Newlook. Hoping work will let me use them as I'll have to be 7 months pg to fit into mat business dress and really don't want to have to go into a 16 and just by plain uncomfy all day (beyond the usual).
Yolkis/tapeworm is squiggling again...sure hope it is bump. I could usually feel myself ovulate...maybe I just have a very sensitive tum!? DH will be very excited (away this weekend).

Hi all,

On the maternity clothing front - I went into H&M in Reading and they have quite a big maternity section. I bought some leggings, a shirt, and some cropped jeans. The jeans in particular are amazing - my usual size and fit really well. I didn't realise how uncomfortable I've been in non-maternity clothes until now. Am v impressed and will be doing all maternity clothes shopping at the Oracle from now on (apparently the Next in Reading has maternity clothes too, as do a couple of dept stores).

Yey for stretchy bump bands in clothes! I've definitely developed a mini but significant bump this week!

Had my scan yesterday and we are a week further along than we thought! 13+6 today, instead of 12+5!! Nice surprise. Though I am feeling so overwhelmed with everything at the moment.

Well had nightmare yesterday finding shops that sell maternity clothes in merry hill centre in midlands. Staff looked at me like I had 2 heads "sorry we only do that online" was the answer. Tried next, m&s, debenhams, new look. In the end I found dotty p's and bought a gorgeous maxi dress and 3 tops for my holidays so wasn't all that bad but next time i'll be shopping at bull ring in bham.

I think moms are strange creatures didn't get positive reaction when I told mine with ds it was due to fact we still rented a house and this time round I have spoilt her fun on our planned holiday as she said she will be drinking alone?? I just think you need to stay strong and maybe she'll come round to it but what she said re abortion is just unforgivable and too awful. Glad you have lots of support around you.

Am feeling nervous and excited for the scan tomorrow fx it's all good!

My DH is pink. Nearly allover. But he's pink. Looks like an allergy (see 'pregnancy' threads for more info) but it's weird. I now have to do a mini-shop solo...I don't drive and Morrisons's is 30mins walk away and it's raining (stair rods) and am feeling a little grim (plus haven't done that much walking/exercise for a while). So much for a relaxing day together...
Suppose I'd better get going...

haha! I'm still in bed!!! Loving it. DH is keeping DS amused and I am catching up with an Ugly Betty boxed set. He's off into work for a few hours now, but DS will be going for a long nap in an hour. I think I might manage a whole day in bed you know
