Hello everyone! Good news on all the positive scans! Welcome to tiredginge too.
I'm beginning to feel more human too. I went to a restaurant tonight which had pasta with ticklemore cheese. I asked about the cheese - was it pasteurised and did it have a rind etc. I was told it definitely pasteurised so it would be fine.
I then looked it up on google (I do wonder whether phones that can do this are a good thing) and found a page suggesting it was a blue cheese so I asked about that. I was told it wasn't blue and it was a hard goats cheese. Further googling said it was unpasteurised. The others said as I'd asked I should trust the restaurant rather than google which was throwing up odd responses (the restaurant is michellin listed so fairly good).
I was uneasy so I picked the cheese off (there was only a tiny sprinkling over the pasta) and I ate the rest. More investigations seem to say it might not be a 'safe' cheese: unpasteurised with a 'bloom' type mould outer cover. I'm trying not to worry - I would have only had a really tiny amount if any. These food rules are hard. I'm really trying to stick to them.
Am I just being daft to worry about this particular incident? I hope so.
