Yes I am Rh -ve, DH and DS both +ve. So had the anti D, nothing to it apart from if I remember correctly it's in your bum so a long needle. But in the grand scheme of childbirth, nothing to worry about :o

supadupapupascupa · 29/06/2011 18:36

had mine in the arm, wasn't painful Smile

had the scan today and baby is healthy and fine! im 10 weeks 5 days and have a offical 12 week scan on the 15th. it was exciting seeing baby it was kicking and waving its arms about and then it started to suck its thumb.

Moobee · 29/06/2011 20:09

Great news Mummyzoe! It is amazing seeing them onscreen isn't it?

Mum2be79 · 29/06/2011 20:33

My scan tomorrow. Is the nuchal scan via tummy or internal?

mummyzoe2012 · 29/06/2011 20:45

im not sure mum2be, ive still got my 12 weeks scan to come and have opted out of it. as far as im awaire its via tummy

tigana · 29/06/2011 20:58

nuchal scan is done as part of the dating scan - ultrasound through tummy, non-invasive. THey measure the space at the back of babys neck..

blueeyedmonster · 29/06/2011 20:59

Fab news mummyzoe so pleased!!

It's via the tummy mum2be I never had any internals with ds so can only assume that is still the case.

shonnomanom · 29/06/2011 21:06

Congrats on a good scan mummyzoe. Glad everything is ok

Fryn · 30/06/2011 09:48

ghosteditor - yep, I feel your pain about Frankfurt! The main problem is finding time to pee! I had to do Bologna when I was 28 weeks, but at least that's a lovely fair. I also did Frankfurt when I was about 10 weeks 3 years ago - we had a party one evening and there were no chairs, so I ended up sitting in cupboard!

mummyzoe2012 · 30/06/2011 15:05

NON TOPIC RANT.... FEEL FREE TO SKIP IF YOU WANT TO.

ive had enough now, im getting strested so easly, we r in the middle of a legal battle with the builders of our house as they sold us one thing and we got something diff at 1st we wernt bothered but the problem has come to a nice big head now and enough is enough. just had the builders on the phone and they were trying to bully me into signing a form to give over the issued land to the nabors, no chance as its our property and i will not give them a bucket of water if they were on fire. they are saying we have no leg to stand on and are waisting our money on a soliciter coz they carnt do any thing. they are trying to stress me out so much that i will cave in. i abruptly told her that she is not to contact me again and to go through my soliciter and she will pass the info on to me and we will seek her oppinion on it before we acept anything. GRRRR. Sorry about the rant i know its not related to this tread but needed to get it off my chest with ladies who i know will be syathetic.

greenlady78 · 30/06/2011 18:29

Hi supadupapupascupa, because if my husband is also A- I do not need the anti-D...but knowing my luck that will never happen! It is good to know that if I need it it won't be that bad! I have read that the thigh is the best place to have the injection! mummyzoe2012 great news on the scan and not so great news about the builders...I had a roof leak that has damaged lots of stuff and have been in a struggle to get reimbursed (due to negligence the roof was leaking, etc). Keep strong and glad you have a solicitor, wish I had one!!!!! Weekend approaching ladies, hope everyone can have a good one! xxx

Nanny01 · 30/06/2011 18:57

Have caved today and bought a belly belt so I can keep wearing my own clothes. I am 22-24 so getting maternity stuff isn't always possible.

Mum2be79 · 30/06/2011 19:18

HAPPY NEWS!

I had my scan today. it has put me at 13 weeks and 4 days so my new EDD is 1st January - a New Year Baby!

Sonographer had to ask we to go and pee so she could get a good look. Baby was there immediately but not moving but according to the sonographer his/her little ticker was there. She asked me if I could see it to which I replied "no" Until she said it was where the cross was. It was tiny! After having the longest pee EVER, Baby A decided to show off his/her gymnast skills. We had a trampolining episode and a forward roll. It was amazing. We saw more than I expected including fingers! Bless the trampolining was due to hiccups then the little sod turned his/her back on us before giving us a full frontal to which I said "Must be sticking out his/her tongue". It's weird because i thought I'd get teary but I didn't and it STILL doesn't feel real yet. My placenta is on the front of the uterine wall so she said it will be longer to feel kicks as the placenta acts as a cushion. Baby measure 75.3mm and the nuchal measurement was 2.3mm. Obviously I've got to wait for the blood results.

I think my body has now relaxed because I was hungry at teatime and I have now comedown with the most horrendous sore throat. :( I suppose a day off tomorrow if I feel like poop.

BigHotMama · 30/06/2011 19:43

Congrats to everyone who had scans sounds amazing can't wait to see my little bean got to wait over 2 wks yet.

Am sure I am feeling movement over last few days I'm only ten weeks so not sure this can be possible more like fluttery feelings which makes me suddenly realise I really am pregnant as at times when feeling normal keep thinking it's all a dream?

Not looking forward to telling my head of department the news as not sure how he'll take the news, will feel good to get it all put in the open though hate being so secretive.

Bought a lovely pair of White linen trousers and grey shorts from mamas n papas for my hols.

Hopes everyone is well x

BigHotMama · 30/06/2011 19:45

Forgot to ask, got a right stinking cold but not taking anything for it, am I right in thinking paracetomol is out of bounds until 2nd trimester????

Tia x

falabalamb · 30/06/2011 20:11

I might be wrong but I think paracetamol is ok throughout, it's just aspirin that's not...unless they've changed things since I was pregnant last! I had endless stonking colds last time round and drank masses of really strong homemade honey, lemon and ginger (LOTS of ginger!!), daughter came out with bright red hair, but I'm sure there can't be a connection Grin!!

falabalamb · 30/06/2011 20:15

I'm probably obsessing slightly, but is there anyone out there who hasn't had a first appointment with the midwife by the time they were close to 12 weeks? I'm just really worried I'm going to miss the window for the nuchal scan.

Mum2be79 · 30/06/2011 20:18

Nuchal scan is now by 14 weeks and 2 days. New guidelines came out in April - according to my hospital!

falabalamb · 30/06/2011 20:24

Thanks mum2be. Amazingly, almost the moment I posted that message, the phone rang and it was the midwife, so things are finally moving!

shonnomanom · 30/06/2011 21:12

mummyzoe stay strong and stick to your guns, dont be bullied into anything.

mumtobe congrats on the good scan. Im also due New Years Day

Yes, paracetamol is fine. I lived on that and honey with colds last time.

Its Friday for me today. Got a long weekend, not back to work until Tuesday!

BigHotMama · 30/06/2011 21:22

Thanks falabalamb and shonna :-) glad you got your app sorted falablamb. Enjoy your weekend shonna x

fishandlilacs · 30/06/2011 22:04

evening all, congrats on scans girls, all sounding good and healthy. I can't wait for my next scan and hopefully a proper look at shrimpy II. Roll on next thursday, I am also having my psych appointment for birth trauma/pnd risk, I have found the hospital to be incredibly supportive over this actually, so quite impressed. Shame DH cant come with me this time, but he hurt his back recently and had lot of time off so been unable to take this extra appointment. I'd rather he saved his holiday for the other end of the proceedings.

Going back to the bmi thing-I have started a hi BMI support thread for thiose who want to chat specifically about the subject-I don't know about you but i feel like a leper when I see the consultant. They make feel so small (HA) and irresponsible, I want to scream it's not like I haven't already lost 2 stone and tried really hard recently. and not every possible pregnany complication I may or may not get is down to my weight!! Grr. I may actually refuse consultant treatment, if thats even possible, he's a grade A patronisong cock.

Bellakins · 30/06/2011 22:40

mums2be congratulations!

So good to read that recent scans have been going well. Mine's isn't till next week but really looking forward to that milestone.

Still feeling nauseous and 12 weeks today. Please, please make it ease off soon. I feel like I've had a 6 week hangover!

Hope everyone is feeling well, good night.
