Very exciting, Orcs. Either way it's not going to be long away. Who is having MiniO when you go in? We have a friend on standby but if I am really close to due date she's on hols so MrG's parents coming down. But may be better to have them anyway in case we're in it for long haul!

Keep us posted when you can but in meantime sending you some easy, squeezy, sneezy vibes.

ladyG my growth scan on Tues showed that Foxcub is also sporting a giant head (and therefore giant brain, obv). Body is measuring 37 weeks, head 40 weeks. Am picturing Stewie from Family Guy. Grin

Orchid the Law of Sod dictates that if you have something important/nice planned, labour will arrive at the perfect time to mess it up. On the other hand, Yay! If you're in a similar state of constant discomfort to me, you'll be glad to get this show on the road. Can't believe I'm so close, but also can't believe it could be another month yet.

Bitey you'll show 'em! (Did spend a moment there wondering what an Onipod was - some sort of creature with one foot?)

LadyGoneGaga · 23/06/2011 16:17

We obviously have very intelligent babies, Gin Grin

Orchid12 · 23/06/2011 16:37

Sorry for being so mememe earlier - just slightly freaked!

Hooray for intelligent babies Smile

Gin I don't want to wish the PG away as this is my last, but it is getting to a point where I feel that I don't want to be this uncomfortable any more!

Am still getting 'tightenings', they seem to be moving up the bump and up my back too. I've started using contraction master and I think they're about 15/20 mins apart, only lasting about 20 secs though. Still unsure whether this is the real deal or not... My parents are coming down from Manchester to look afer mini O so I need to make a decision about whether to get them on the way or not - will take them about 1.5hrs/2hrs (maybe more in rush hour). If I need someone quicker, I can ask one of the neighbours, or one of my friends to come over until mum and dad get here. Arghh - what to do? Don't want to get them to start driving if this is a false alarm!

rocketleaf · 23/06/2011 17:24

Ohh, exciting! settles down with baby in one hand and brew in the other for orcswatch

LadyGoneGaga · 23/06/2011 17:34

How fast was your labour last time, Orcs? If not super-speedy you could leave it a bit I reckon. But if you think it is the real deal and they will be staying down here anyway then you want to have them there by bedtime really to save them getting up in middle of night. From what I've read often Mum's who have children already find their contractions really rev up once kids are in bed and out of the way...

We are going to have same dilemma if MrG's parents come down as they live an hour and a half away.

Oooh Orcs the very best of British to you Grin

This is the beginning of the clusterlay, sort of.

Have you had any other promising signs? V.difficult when your parents have such a long drive and it's really not a good time of day to be doing that. I am waving my pompoms in the hope things are progressing.

Ps. Am I the only person in here who isn't expecting a giant headed baybee?

LadyGoneGaga · 23/06/2011 18:30

Don't feel bad, Owlie. Smaller head = smaller fanjo, no?

OP posts:
Medee · 23/06/2011 19:28

How exciting, Orchid!

BrownB · 23/06/2011 19:43

Exciting stuff Orcs... Grin

Macaroon - I have a completely unrelated question for you. What days to kids go to school in Italy? I have it in my head that they go to school six days a week Mon-Sat. Is this correct?

Orchid12 · 23/06/2011 20:36

On way to hossie. Most def in labour, baybee is on its way!!! Got to go to Scorps' hossie as mine is closed. They were trying to send me to one an hour away! Got to be monitored as baybee is quiet. Might well have news very soon.

Medee · 23/06/2011 20:39

Woohoo, go orchid!

Medee · 23/06/2011 20:40

Woohoo, go orchid!

CurlyCasper · 23/06/2011 20:41

Yay OurKid hope everything goes well for you. Can't wait to hear news of snuffling!

Orchid12 · 24/06/2011 05:32

I am snuffling and it's blooming marvellous!! Had a great labour and am ecstatic to have a little daughter to add to our merry band (not sure mini O is going to approve - he wanted a boy!). Born 1.08 am, 7lb 2oz. She's very cute and so tiny in comparison to mini O.

Muser · 24/06/2011 05:43

Blooming heck Orchid, you don't hang about do you?!

Massive congratulations to you, MrO and MiniO. And welcome to MicroO. A little girl! You enjoy those snuffles.

LadyGoneGaga · 24/06/2011 07:41

Wow, that was a quick one! Fantastic! So, so pleased it all went well for you. Can't wait to see some piccies of the little-y.

Congratulations! Grin
