So sorry LPO.... be good to yourself xx

Welcome to all the newbies too!

Oh dear buggy chat - as a first timer I might have to steer clear of this chat otherwise I can see myself getting very obsessed!

Phloosie I poased again this morning - have lost count how many I have done and I found out nearly 2 weeks ago!

Esme hope this sickness isn't too bad :(

runaroundstartsnow · 09/06/2011 16:09

Sorry LPO, take things easy x

i threw up in Sainsburys today, then burst into tears when everyone stared at me...still feel really queasey Sad

chocolatesparkle · 09/06/2011 16:49

Really sorry LPO. xx

Not feeling too nauseous..yet,but am generally less excited by food than normal-and normally I LOVE eating! However, my boobs are MASSIVE, can't believe how much they have grown already (and neither can DH Wink!) I am practically bursting out of work shirts already, they are almost pornographic theyre so tight around the bust! Has anyone else found the same?

puzzletree · 09/06/2011 17:42

LPO so so sorry, take care of yourself, and hope it all works out for you very soon. x

I've just had a little nap, was exhausted. Had to do the same yesterday afternoon. Luckily the boys will happily watch a film so we all snuggled up on the sofa and my littlest fell asleep on me too. Eek, hope I don't need one every day, could be a bit limiting! Now to make dinner, still feeling ok about that, for now...

aj71 · 09/06/2011 17:53

Sorry to those of you feeling sick. So far, I've not had any of that. When I had my dd, I was sick most of my pregnancy so hope it won't be as bad this time. That said, I'll start to fret if I'm not sick at all! I know, I know!

But my breasts are killing me. They're so sore at the moment. They've no bigger yet though!

Xavielli · 09/06/2011 18:42

Aww runaround that sounds really nasty! Hope you are feeling better!

chocolatesparkles Just noticed you're from Oxon! Me too!

Phlossie DC3 19th Feb

phlossie, i'm not looking at the icandy. I excluded it last time on the basis that the seat didn't go flat, and bought a mothercare one which i THOUGHT did go flat. It doesn't :). So,now i really do want one where the seat flattens out completely for napping! The m'care one has been fine, i'm just being picky really! Reminds me, need to check ebay to see status of one I'm watching...

Felt really dizzy today when on the way to toddler group with DD, so bought a (decaf) latte and greggs sausage roll to help with that. My poor unborn child. trying to eat more fruit, honestly...

Xavielli · 09/06/2011 20:28

woowa The iCandy does lay flat! We used the carrycot for the first 6 months anyway. It's a bucket seat that goes all the way back so that the baby is flat on their back. I'd recommend one to anyone, best buggy I've ever had (and I've had a few lol) just wish I'd bought the apple so I could convert it to a double!

woowa · 09/06/2011 21:14

Oh, i know they tilt right back, but i actually want it to be completely flat, like the phil and ted, but facing me. The m'care one is flat for 6 months, then converts into a bucket seat like the icandy, which tilts back but doesn't go flat.

Anyway, see newbies, how obsessed you can get with pushchairs?! If you need advice, ask any of us oldies :) If you're going to use it A LOT then it's worth making the right choice. Anyway, this is an antenatal thread...so, vomiting and sore boobs anyone?

m1nn1em0u5e · 09/06/2011 21:18

Vomiting & sore boobs this way!....lol Just looking at maternity wear on Next, feels far too early, but already my jeans are tight & I cant bear anything tight on my waist....dilemma!....I was definitely still in my jeans until week 12 with both my previous babies!....

OP posts:
gonerogue · 09/06/2011 21:55

Hi Everyone

Oooh pushchairs - I'll keep my lips zipped.

chocolatesparkle I have enormous boobs at the mo. Queasy but no actual vomiting as yet. (am also short tempered and DH is annoying me by looking at what I'm typing over my hsoulder and laughing at it Angry )

runaround hope you are ok and hae recovered from your Sainsbo's experience.

Lanky true to form I couldn't hold out and POAS this afternoon - reassured because last week was 2 - 3 weeks, and now it's 3+ Grin

I spent today helping my sister move and tried to get away with moving only the lightest things - desperately trying to not let on. Smile

woowa I hear you on the fruit thing - although am downing my antenatal vits and hopefully they will make up for any shortcomings in my diet. Plus I am only interested in stodge at the minute, whenever anything interests me.

Hello to everyone else - esp the newbies and I'l catch up with you all later. I am going to my bed now. Here's hoping DD sleeps through.

aj71 · 09/06/2011 22:09

I had my dd nearly 12 years ago, I'm very out of the loop on what prams/pushchairs are good. Eeeek! Something else to confuse dp with!!

m1nn1em0u5e I am so glad it's not just me who is wondering about maternity clothes already. I lost 4 stone in last 6 months so maybe I'll just dig out my old clothes Wink!

puzzletree · 09/06/2011 22:28

m1nn1em0u5e I'm exactly the same, so bloated this time, having to use hairbands through my jeans fly as there's no way I can do them up. Previous two pregnancies I wore my normal jeans for ages. 2nd time I think I was about 16 weeks when I told work (first scan was very late) and no-one had guessed, I wasn't in maternity clothes or anything. Is it a third baby, body given up situation? :)

My boobs are a bit tender and swollen but they don't really grow much in pregnancy. when breastfeeding on the other hand, yowsers! It's weird how pregnancy affects people so differently, such a range of symptoms.

Xavielli · 09/06/2011 22:35

Re; bloating, I did get very big very quickly with number 3, think it's the abuse the first two inflict on our tummy muscles. This time I still haven't lost much weight from having DS2 so no one will guess I'm pg!

Quite jealous of the big boobs, mine don't do anything until atleast 30 weeks.

m1nn1em0u5e · 09/06/2011 23:48

I feel better now, yes I think my stomach muscles gave up when I had ds2, 8lb 13oz & im 5ft 2! Ive not got a lot of space for babies, so my bump was huge both times!....may have to just admit defeat & give into the maternity wear!....im with you on the weight Xavielli, im still holding baby weight from my last baby 4 years ago!..

OP posts:
m1nn1em0u5e · 09/06/2011 23:49

congratulations on the weight loss aj!...thats fab, you will have to share your secret, in February of course! :)

OP posts:
m1nn1em0u5e · 09/06/2011 23:50

& im fed up of ginger biscuits already!...Anybody recommend any other anti sickness foods?....xx

OP posts:
aj71 · 10/06/2011 00:13

Ha, my secret was starvation! It worked!

I used to find bananas helped me with my sickness. Ginger never worked.

m1nn1em0u5e · 10/06/2011 00:20

Bananas made me boak today :( Although I like them usually....this pregnancy business is strange! Are we nearly at 12 weeks yet?! :)

OP posts:
aj71 · 10/06/2011 00:30

Well there goes my banana theory!

Last time, I was sick till week 19. Hence my surprise at no sickness yet. It almost makes me worry I'm not sick.

aj71 · 10/06/2011 08:51

Have any of you seen/made appointments to see your midwife? I'm going to my booking in appointment on 20th. I'm going to be considered high risk for a variety of reasons so was told by my gp to see her ASAP. I'm also off to the joint OB/endocrinology clinic the following week.

Get the feeling I'll be spending considerable time at various appointments for the next 8 months!

Xavielli · 10/06/2011 10:10

I called the doctors yesterday to ask when I was meant to let the gp know I was pg (I got told off with DS2 when I turned up at the midwife app at 10 weeks and hadn't got any notes, I had just gone straight to the midwife with the other two, so things have changed!) and they said at around 6 weeks. DS2 has his 8 month check on 28th so will try and see a gp whilst I'm there.

Hope there are not too many extra appointments for you, although if you are at risk it will be reassuring!

QueenFee · 10/06/2011 13:03

Hello all :)
I have just got a faint bfp
Have been ttc for 18months as still bf ds2
This will be baby no 4 for me!

Ironically I am selling my powertwin so that will put people off the scent! I loved it but ds2 walks now. I used it with the layflat car seat theres a pic on my profile from last time round!
My kids ares nearly 7 5 and 2

louby86 · 10/06/2011 15:25

Hello everyone! Can I join you guys? I found out that I'm 4 weeks pregnant a couple of days ago. Had my first doctors appointment and they've gave me a due date of feb 17th! Really don't want to tell anyone other than parents at this stage until we know everything is ok so am trying to only talk about it on here!
