Hi all, just checking in. It's so busy here!

Stinky so very sorry you're leaving us. I hope you get through this ok, and wish you the best of luck for the future x

Bill glad the bleeding has stopped and you've got good strong symptoms!

InnocentRedhead hope you feel better soon, I have always had Braxton Hicks from quite early on, and my uterus would go hard after an orgasm too. Perhaps this is what you're experiencing too. Stretching pains are really common too. Definitely chat to the midwife though, hope she reassures you.

babyCarmen good luck with the scan tomorrow. I'd happily take some of your symptoms cos I'm worrying that I feel far too well and therefore something must be wrong, but it's interesting you say you weren't ill with your daughter. I've got two boys and always heard people felt sicker with girls but maybe this one is a girl?

herecomesthesun that's great that you saw a heartbeat, fingers crossed all will be well now.

Littleboxes I was already glad I'm not commuting in this pregnancy but you've made me doubly glad. It really isn't fun is it. I remember sitting on the floor of a crowded bus because I thought I was about to faint in early pregnancy. People did offer seats once I was very obviously pregnant but I actually felt much better then!

blissful fingers crossed for you too, hope the bleeds turn out to be nothing serious.

A general hello to everyone else :)

BillComptonstrousers · 28/06/2011 19:50

Pah! puzzle a curse on your good health I tells ya! Sorry, I seem to be channeling the spirit of Captain Jack Sparrow there Grin

I'm already in bed, the sickness is reaching it's peak! The poor children are practicaly turning feral, but they did manage to cobble together a pizza and dough balls for their tea, which nearly tipped me over the edge, garlic butter

Xavielli · 28/06/2011 20:04

Mmmmm.... Jack Sparrow! There's something to think about once the second trimester hits Grin

OddEyes · 28/06/2011 20:08

Sorry Stinky! Sad sorry you have left the bus. Rest up well and best wishes for the future.
Cramping here too and remember the post orgasm cramp too- only down side to pregnant sexBlush.
Salty popcorn and tortilla chips are working well right now for my morningsickness.
Kids through the sick phase of chickenpox so looking forward to ds hopefully being back at school next week.
Good news, herecomes, hope you can lay worries to rest a wee bit. This whole process is so fraught with worry isn't it? We have so little control of the wee bean(s) being knit together in our wombs just keep well and pray!
6+5 (blueberry size!)

pinkhollie · 28/06/2011 20:17

I'm definitely suffering from nausea now after 6.5 weeks of no symptoms. I seem to be better when I'm busy and as I've not actually been sick just trying to force down food but really struggled tonight.

Best wishes to stinky and all others who have had bad news. X

Crazybit · 28/06/2011 20:19

Sorry stinky, :( all the best for the future.

Hugs to all that are suffering, sorry I can't do personals, am on phone. Am really struggling today, we only moved house last week to a town over 200 miles away, I don't know anyone-and oh is not coming round to the idea of the pregnancy. I haven't told anyone yet and feeling pretty alone. Went to my new docs to report it and he referred me to the mw who asked me to collect a form and said they'd be in touch.

BillComptonstrousers · 28/06/2011 20:36

Oh crazy that is shit Sad what do you mean, not coming round to the idea? Is it your first one?

puzzletree · 28/06/2011 20:48

Crazybit which town is it? Perhaps someone here is nearby, sounds like you do with some support.

thanks Bill I'm actually feeling a little bit of nausea again tonight, perhaps the curse is working :)

InnocentRedhead · 28/06/2011 20:53

Hello and welcome to the bus shipsladyg I'm surprised there is still people boarding the bus but never fear we still have room :)

Thank you all for the helpful advice! It has definitely put my mind more at ease. Still going to call midwife as i want to book another appointment soon, i am sure it is twins, i just feel too big for 6+3... Why can't it be uneventful?! Everything seems to be affecting me!

oddeyes I am not the only one with tortilla chips, i thought i was haha! I find the supermarkets value ones by far the best than all the other brands, don't know about you!
bill i think garlic is great at the moment, i can't get enough!!!

crazy I feel for you darling, it can't be nice seemingly doing it alone :( you will get the support you need, hopefully you don't have to beg too much for it.. thinking of you x

Who elses sense of smell is amazing at the moment? TMI for you all probably but you may have noticed i talk and talk and talk even if not appropriate... But anyway... We were in church on Sunday and DP farted (silently) and i asked him if he had farted, no-one else smelt it and he pissed himself laughing because i asked as he was doing it haha... Me being weird but i can even smell carrots while peeling...

God i do witter on :D

Millie26 · 28/06/2011 20:57

Oh oddeyes that's a coincidence, my DD has had chickenpox this last few days too. It's been an absolute nightmare trying to look after her whilst not wanting to move from the sofa, although seeing her in pain and uncomfortable does kick in the adrenaline so I've done my best to comfort her and play with her.

I'm off for an early scan tomorrow evening because my symptoms have really subsided and I know I'll drive myself crazy with worry if I have to wait for another four weeks for a scan.

I'm also so bloated that DH commented I look 5 months pregnant, not 8 weeks.

Feel really ashamed and fat and horrible, espeically as I've just got married and I was so slim on my wedding day and all the girls at the groups we go to were really complimentary and now I'm just a slob and don't fit into any of my clothes. I dont want to have to tell them I'm pregnant but it's actually painful breathing in!

Moan moan moan moan.

Will stop moaning now.

(one last tiny moan)

.

BillComptonstrousers · 28/06/2011 20:59

I know what you mean red I am always saying to my DH 'what's that smell??? He can't smell anything, but everything is so so strong to me at the minute.

Have managed to get down to the kitchen to half heartedly stack plates next to the sink and have stuck my fingers in a massive blob off garlic butter. Have scrubbed my hands rather viciously but to no avail < weeps with frustration> it farking stinks.

Millie26 · 28/06/2011 21:03

PS - crazy I hear you. I moved 200 miles just before we had DD1 and it was crap for the first bit but then I just tried to make friends at work and joined a couple of things like a pottery class, is there anything you can do in your area? Are you working?

Maybe you need to tackle OH first as it sounds like you've made a big step and you need to be more of a team - can you take them to the booking in appt and explain before to the midwife? How far along are you?

InnocentRedhead · 28/06/2011 21:05

Haha, i might just go smother my hands in garlic anyway... I chopped some carrots today to eat raw and eating the carrot i could taste garlic, i think they were touching a peeled garlic in the fridge so my taste is up there too!!

I work at McD's so everyday i get food smells, i can deal with those, the smell that gets me is just the general grease smell, and the smell of me after a shift!! Ha!

gonerogue · 28/06/2011 21:05

Stinky so Sad to hear your news. Mind yourself and the best of luck for the next round of ttc .

Bill good to hear you are getting more symptoms - although would love some colcannon now.

Herecomesthesun that's brilliant news about the hb - you must have been very pleased.

crazy sorry to hear you are struggling.

Hello shipsladyg welcome aboard.

Littleboxes I second what Lola said - it sounds like they were taking the mick out of him rather than you but it does feel awful when you can't get a seat. I nearly fainted in a work meeting once as all of the boys were in a rush to get a seat and didn't even contemplate moving for me.Grin They were sorry then though when our (female) CFO bollocked them or it.

Hope all the sickness isn't proving too much for you ladies. Today was my worst day so far. I rang in sick to work, slept until 1 and then spent hte afternoon in the toilet. Bleugh - hopefully it won't stay like that for too long. I only went back to work last week.

Flower82 · 28/06/2011 21:13

Hi all

Any room for a small one? Due 27th feb apparently, although it feels far too early to be getting excited. I keep stopping myself from even thinking about it!

Littleboxes I had exactly the same with my ds the first time round. I actually did faint on the tube one day but it was so crammed i had nowhere to fall! Had panic attacks and had to take a week off work in the end! Even when i was heavily pregnant more often than not people wouldn't give up a seat. Its not fair that when you desperately need to sit down there's no visual clue that you're pg!

Definitely his problem not yours, he should be ashamed!

BillComptonstrousers · 28/06/2011 21:26

Another one! There can't be many more left! Grin

I'm torturing myself watching two greedy italians, I love their cooking! And they are so funny.

Just debating if I can manage a cup of tea hmmmm....

Flower82 · 28/06/2011 21:31

We've obviously all been busy bees in the previous couple of months :)

Limited myself to 3 cups of tea a day (no mean feat for someone who has more tea in their veins than blood!) saving cup number 3 for 10pm!

InnocentRedhead · 28/06/2011 21:34

Flower, you are my new best friend, i know what it is like now to not have my tea and i hate it :/ sorry but it doesn't get any easier :( Welcome to the bus!

Flower82 · 28/06/2011 21:35

Thanks Innocent! Couldn't bear the stuff for ds1 but can't get enough of it this time!

BillComptonstrousers · 28/06/2011 21:37

Blimey I don't drinks loads of tea, but what I do is de-caf, do you full caf ladies have to limit your intake?

Flower82 · 28/06/2011 21:40

Bill, in my case yes! could previously happily drink 6 or 7 cups a day (not good for the ol' cellulite!) De-caf is now added to my shopping list!

YellowSparkle · 28/06/2011 21:48

Hi everyone.
My sence is smell is amazing atm! And my sickness is just like the first which makes me think its a boy. With my dd i had hardly any sickness! These first few months are the worst though when not many people know and you often feel the worst. Hope everyone is getting on ok :)

BillComptonstrousers · 28/06/2011 21:48

Well I didn't know that! To be honest I can't tell the difference, but I'm not a seasoned tea drinker like yourself!

Years ago I could only get rooibos, which tasted weird, but it's good that all the main people, tetley etc. Are doing de-caf teas now.

Flower82 · 28/06/2011 21:54

Rooibos, yuk! I used to drink that in vain for period pains. I'm afraid i am a tea bore so will stop now and go to bed.

QueenFee · 28/06/2011 22:19

My dhs last job was selling tea for a big company. I love my tea...

Smell, I have a very sensitive smell sense at the moment, not good when I have a very farty son and one still in nappies boak

Hello flower. Crazy is this your 1st baby? Nothing like kids for helping you meet new people in town :)

I have developed my 1st pg craving... marmite on toast !
