i think so. I dunno what it is but i can't get too excited about girl clothes. Too much pink! Although i did see an awesome coat in boots that was blue with big white spots. Was kinda hoping they had one in my size!

louby86 · 18/06/2011 20:26

Hi everyone I got a bfp this morning, first pg, I want to be so excited but I'm terrified something bad will happen. According to the due date calculator I'm due the 23th of Feb, I'm 27. Fingers crossed

louby86 · 18/06/2011 21:58

Welcome Pam! There's a few of us here now!

Thanks mummymccar

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 18/06/2011 23:06

So sorry, Harriet

My stats still aren't updated! Could some kind soul do this for me as I'm away on holiday with just my phone.

TheWicketKeeperIsDown, 38, DC2, 20th February.

Cheers, girls!

PamBeesly · 18/06/2011 23:20

Thanks everyone, I don't want to tell anyone, except DH of course and I don't have any close friends who have had children, I live in the Republic of Ireland so I'm sure its the same no matter where you are, but the thing I'm not sure of is when do I go to the doctor? Got the BFP today, I delighted but afraid to let myself go to much and have had some pains today although they weren't that bad.
I think MN is going to be my pregnancy guidebook...
Good luck everyone

Pam, wicketkeeper I have added you in to the list.

Pam I am also in the ROI, Co. Laois. Good to have another Irish lady here Grin
I am 6+1 and will go to the docs on Monday or Tuesday. Earlier the better I think as last time I had to wait ages to get my first scan - but I was public so if you go private it might be different.

I'm sitting here waiting for my parents to ring and get me to collect them from the pub, which is about half an hour away. I guess it's practise for the teenage years waiting up for the DC to roll home Grin

PamBeesly · 19/06/2011 00:03

Thanks Gonerogue, I'm in Galway and don't want to let on anything to anyone in RL because I couldn't handle the fussing and then if something bad was to happen I couldn't handle it. I looked on the HSE website but its not informative. I'll definitely be going public, when you say ages, do you mean more than 12 weeks?
Aren't you very good to collect them!

puzzletree · 19/06/2011 08:13

Good morning lovely ladies. Was up before 7 this morning, delightfully awoken by my 4 year-old shouting 'I need a poo'. Instantly regretted my decision to give up my allocated lie-in day to allow DP a fathers day treat! Ah well.

Am probably going to get sussed tonight by some friends. It's a mums get-together and I'm always the first to crack open the wine. Hmmm best get that excuse rehearsed. Am thinking the bleary eyes might aid a 'feeling a bit ill' get-out.

Thinking of chocolate and harriet and really hoping for positive outcomes.

bear81 · 19/06/2011 08:39

puzzletree I tend to agree that boys clothes are better as there seems to be more colour variety but then I might be biased as I only have 3 gorgeous nephews/boys to buy for, no one around me has had girls yet and we're only on #1. Speaking of father's day my DH has already tried to claim 'daddy privileges' of breakfast in bed this morning despite me only being about 6 weeks! I've told him he can wait till next year for that!

chocolate and Harriet thinking of you. Hoping you're being looked after and that it'll be a positive outcome for both of you.

Please can I ask the list faries to add me as I can't do it at the moment as I'm on my phone. DC#1. due feb 11th. Thank you! :)

babycarmen · 19/06/2011 09:00

Thinking of you harriet and chocolatesparkles

6+5 today and so far no sickness, well not actually being sick but a lot of nausea. Had none with DD1 either so fingers crossed im lucky this time too :) I really HATE being sick.

I think when i had my DD (shes 3 and a half now) there was very limited choice for boys clothes but it seems to be the other way round now? Ive seen some gorgeous boys things.

P.S Anyone still finding it had to believe they are ACTUALLY pregnant? :D

PDog · 19/06/2011 09:18

.

Had bfp yesterday! Due 20th february by my calcs. Already have an 18mo DD. Last time the morning sickness kicked in about 6 weeks and went on til about 20 weeks. Hoping it will be better this time.

babycarmen no I can't quite believe it either. Won't get to the docs for awhile either as on hols next week.

chocolate and harriet keeping my fingers crossed for you both. Hope you are being looked after well.

Please can someone add me to the list as ipad is not playing ball at the mo?

Pdog, 32, DC2, 20 Feb

puzzletree · 19/06/2011 10:09

I don't think anything makes it feel real until you see that baby wriggling on the first scan. You just have to think positive and be patient. Even then I don't really relax until I feel a baby kicking on a regular basis. Luckily I have felt strong movement pretty early with both boys (18 weeks and 16 weeks) and they were both very energetic. Really hoping for the same this time.

bear81 my DH didnt even know it was fathers day until i asked him if he was miffed i didn't do anything. Didn't want to tempt fate and he agreed, he'll just make the most of it next year. Did see a really sweet card in Tesco though. It was like the 'keep calm and carry on' posters except it said the 'the perfect husband makes for the perfect father' awwwww

BillComptonstrousers · 19/06/2011 10:22

Bloody hell the list is getting massive!!

Hello to all the new BFP ladies and postive thoughts going to chocolate and Harriet, big hugs to both of you, I've been feeling really quite teary about this this morning, hope you are both ok.

Well, after a mammoth 14 hours sleep I am still in bed! Fell asleep at 6.30 last night after my bath and woke up at 8.30 this morning!

Fathers day presents were doled out this morning and cups of tea brought up to him, so we are still in bed having a relax, we just got a huge new bed a few weeks ago so lovely to get the children in bed and watch a film on sunday mornings and have a bit of breakfast.

What is everyone else up to today?
