puzzletree · 18/06/2011 09:44

harriet I also drank caffeine as and when I felt like it in previous pregnancies, though to be honest I did go off tea and coffee so my consumption naturally when right down. this 200mg was new to me too but I'm trying to stick to two caffeinated drinks a day, and if I have a cuppa late in the day it makes me feel queasy anyway so this isn't proving too difficult. I'm not going to give it up completely though, and will probably have the odd glass of wine too when I'm feeling less green. just do what you feel comfortable with.

chocolatesparkle · 18/06/2011 10:09

Have been spotting for past week and tried to think nothing of it. But last night had more fresh blood bleeding and now i'm passing clots (sorry TMI). Just really, really distraught as I'm pretty sure that i'm miscarrying. I know that i can't be sure until i have a scan, but obviously its the weekend, so can't do anything until monday. Thankfully DH is being lovely, but i can't help feeling a bit guilty, because i know that it's his loss too. I can't believe that i had become so attached and excited about this pregnancy at 7 weeks, and now feel that i am losing it.

harrietlichman · 18/06/2011 10:25

chocolatesparkle so very sorry, it might be nothing, but it's still very scary, thinking of you xxxxxxxxxxx

puzzletree · 18/06/2011 10:39

chocolatesparkle really hope this is just a scare, and you can be seen by the hospital asap. It's totally understandable how upset you are. Thinking of you x

gonerogue · 18/06/2011 10:40

chocolatesparkle could you try going to an EPU - they may be able to help. Or A&E can do tests and scans for you if you need them to.
Thinking of you too. x

InnocentRedhead · 18/06/2011 10:48

Wow, i can actually join an ante-natal bus on here!! Wow, got my BFP yesterday and a little in shock still, its weird. We barely did any SWI this month and BAM, mind you i think my hormones are already all over place because i haven't being hornier. TMI and now im probably bursting and talking too much.

Anyway, i'm not sure what date i'm due i think my last period was 16th may so be around 20th feb if i am not mistaken! WOW hi ladies!!

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 18/06/2011 11:00

I've not been added yet - can someone do it for me please 'cos I'm on my phone?

Cheers!

Chocolatesparkle - thinking of you.

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 18/06/2011 11:00

And if you can't find my previous post, I'm 38, DC2, 20th Feb

mummymccar · 18/06/2011 11:58

Hi ladies! Big congratulations to everyone!
Had our positive test yesterday, this will be our first :)
Still got to confirm with GP but got the sore boobs, missed period (I'm regular to the day) and lots of gentle cramping so very confident he will confirm.
EDD is 23rd February

Needle · 18/06/2011 12:23

Hi ladies.

PinkHollie I always used "i'm on antibiotics" as an excuse for not drinking during my first pregnancy. If anyone asks, say you've had an eye infection or something.

chocolatesparkle i'm thinking of you. I hope it turns out alright x

InnocentRedhead, welcome to the 20th Feb club! Is this your first?

chocolatesparkle
There are many reasons you can bleed during pregnancy I did because I had an eroded womb (I think thats what they called it) Also some people bleed because they lose a twin very early on (like happned to my friend) or well a million other reasons. I know that won't stop you worrying but it doesn't necessarily mean you are miscarrying. Hopefully your EPU will give you an early scan.

Ambrosial · 18/06/2011 16:38

Hello! I should just about squeeze on the bus- my DD is 28th February.

Yes, I got over excited and POAS very very early, so I'm a little nervous and crossing my fingers that it sticks. Very excited, as I know we all are :)

I hadn't really expected it as I've just been diagnosed with PCOS and been scared half to death at an ultrasound earlier in the month, but clearly it just spurred us on a bit! This will be our first baby. My husband is totally in shock and can't stop smiling.

Now crossing my fingers and bouncing about with excitement!

QueenFee · 18/06/2011 18:51

Chocolate definately get in touch with epu hope everything turns out ok.

Hello those of you trying to squeeze on the bus, tis very packed indeed!

Beeeeeee · 18/06/2011 18:59

Hello all!

V excited to find so many people in the same boat, I'm due Feb 12 according to my GP (although those online calculators say 20th). Took 4 months and I thought my giant painful boobs were a sign of ovulation finally after spending 14 years on the pill, duhhhh! Adding myself to the list;

Just added myself!

For those who have been through this before, how do you get through the stage from the positive test to the first scan without becoming a basket case? Do you just trust that it will all be ok, I have an irrational fear that it will get to the scan and there will be nothing there, no idea why!

Bee x :)

m1nn1em0u5e · 18/06/2011 19:07

Hi Bee, this is 3rd time for me & its still just as worrying!....I still hold my breath until I see that little outline of a baby & a heart beat at the 12 week scan....dont think that feeling will ever go away!....x

Ooops noticed i hadn't added myself to the list. THought the list faries would do this for me! I'm shattered had a busy and fun fun day. Big dog walk this morning then me and DH went into town and indulged ourselves by looking at baby clothes (why are boy clothes better?!) and having a brew afterwards! It was more research actually, we have a wedding at the end of april and worked out sed child will only be a couple of months so was looking to see what occasion wear there was for tiny ones that wasn't christening clothes! Saw a really cute set in NEXT, trousers, shirt, tie and waistcoat. Awwww i want a boy!

Xavielli · 18/06/2011 19:15

Hi Bee! I'm the same, I always irrationally POAS the day of my first scan, just to make sure it hasn't been in my inagination! Speaking of which my scan is booked for 2nd august, seems sooooo far away!

Chocolatesparkles, I really hope it turns out to be an innocent bleed.

aj71 · 18/06/2011 19:23

chocolatesparkles Thinking of you.

Today, I felt very green. No sore breasts anymore but definitely felt pukey. I are my midwife Monday. Hoping for an early scan given my history.

puzzletree · 18/06/2011 19:29

melliebobs Are boys clothes better? I always think there's far far more choice of girls stuff in shops. I've got two boys though.
