MissRedIndie · 17/06/2011 21:02

Hey Alpine, cross country sounds great fun, I'm super jealous! Feel like I'd be a bit nervous riding and my boy would completely take advantage!!

Mistress, I know what you mean about imagining the line...I completely feel the same, going to do another test in the morning just to make sure Grin

Hi CoffeeOne, come and join the fun...

babycarmen I'm sure everything will be ok...I remember with DD I had terrible cramps the day after I found out I was pregnant, and spent the next day googling miscarriage and ectopic pregnancies! Complete overreaction of course. It's natural to worry at every cramp and twinge, but I'm sure you'll be just fine.

QueenFee · 17/06/2011 21:12

Bill, I am on my phone so cannot rectify the aformentioned issue regarding the list!

I have felt green all day
I have been more emotional than ever I remember in previous pregnancies. I even cried when dd didnt listen to me earlier lol if I keep doing that I will be crying a lot :o
Total exhaustion set In here. I think i'm going to have an early night.

Made the mistake of watching a documentary about babies born at 23 weeks :( so sad and really made me worry.

Hello Coffee

Twins oddeyes. How do you feel if that turns out to be true?!

CoffeeOne · 17/06/2011 21:36

There Bill I have put you back in your rightful spot. Grin I thought I was great today s well because I could eat so much - and yes am paying the price for that now.

Hi coffee - so will you now be decaff? Smile. Welcome aboard.

babycarmen I'm sure my MW last time told me they were probably what he called stretching pains. Hope you are feeling better.

Minnie sorry that HG has it's grip on you. let's hope the next few months go quickly.

mellie OMG at the amount of exercise you do. I found out I was pregnant with DD when I couldn't run a five minute trip from office to train station.

No other news here - had my last week on my own with DD this week as DH off next week and she will be in creche "practising" for when I go back to work. Sad but happy too in a way - I'm not cut out to be a SAHM and admire people who are and can.

Anyway better go and talk to DH - hope you all have a good weekend.

gonerogue · 17/06/2011 21:45

Grin @ Puzzletree cross posts there. And because I took so long to post yours is more up to date too. Blush

Welcome Queencee.

QueenCee · 17/06/2011 21:46

Hello! Nice to be on board!

LolaRennt · 17/06/2011 21:51

babycarmen Had days of horrible cramps last time myself worse than the worst period pains I'd ever had, was sure I was miscarrying. But dd is sleeping soundly on my lap now :) Nothing this time though.

BillComptonstrousers · 17/06/2011 21:55

Thank you ladies! < settles in between QueenFee and Phlossie>

Xavielli · 17/06/2011 22:11

My cramps and twinges have got worse with each pg which I think is pretty normal. Before you become pg yourself no one tells you that there is pain involved pretty much all the way through, which makes it even more scary.

Lola sorry to have bought up obem USA! I forgot you were there and certainly didn't want to worry you. Atleast armed with the knowledge of what may happen you can decide how far you want to dig your heels in with regards to the childbirth you want! We all get a lovely baby at the end which is the important thing.

DP and I have spent this afternoon and evening in a 4 star hotel as a thankyou gift for doggy sitting for his friend. We are a 10 min walk away from our house but feels like a million miles! No kids, a lovely jacuzzi bath, shower, gorgeous 4 poster bed and we had a really scrummy 3 course meal in the restaurant. Bliss!!

QueenCee · 17/06/2011 22:17

How do I add myself to the list? I'm not very technically minded!!

sticking myself back in!

gonerogue oh my, I haven't even thought about caffiene, I really don't know what I'm doing :/ first pregnancy and I've not been around pregnant women all that much. Any brief tips before I head to the doctors next week?!

chocolatesparkle · 18/06/2011 03:56

I can't sleep!! (too much curry for supper i think!)

coffeeone a lot of people i know try to cut out caffeine all together when pregnant, but the advice from my GP was: 2 mugs or brewed coffee, OR 3 mugs of instant coffee OR 4 cups of tea OR 4 cans of coke per day. Chocolate also contains some caffeine (dark choc has more than milk choc).

QueenCee · 18/06/2011 06:20

xavelli DD was born 31st Oct 2010... What about your DS? It's a pretty small gap isn't it? I'm very nervous!
Thanks for the add guys!
queenfee I know!! Can't believe we have virtually the same name and on same baby bus!!

Morning all! Have we all got fun weekends planned?
CoffeeOne this is the info I was reading about caffeine I think the most important thing to do is take folic acid. Other than that, avoid alcohol and things that are risky for food poisoning e.g. runny or blue cheese, pate, undercooked or unwashed foods etc. There's a list of dos and don'ts on here somewhere too --->

harrietlichman · 18/06/2011 08:11

morning! Got a busy weekend planned, off to a show today, then having Father's Day lunch here tomorrow - again will have to dodge the 'why not drinking' questions when parents come round (dreading telling them, actually, will put it off as long as poss, not likely to get a positive reaction)
Woke up with back ache today, probably not helped by DS2 joining us at around 3am and lying like a star fish next to me for the rest of the night - that is a habit I have got to break before ds3 comes along!

harrietlichman · 18/06/2011 08:26

Just read your caffeine link Puzzletree (while I was drinking my morning cup!) This is new to me - with other dcs I drank the stuff till it was coming out of my ears! I am torn between obeying every bit of advice out there and thinking it is all a bit over the top...has everyone else given up caffeine?

bear81 · 18/06/2011 08:52

good morning all. Just wondering if I can hop aboard this bus before it leaves please?! Have used MN calculator and it says I'm due feb 11th. This will be baby #1 for us. Very excited but nervous too as I don't seem to have any symptoms yet apart from sore nipples. Maybe I should just be grateful?!
Please can I be added to the list? Thanks. Enjoy your weekend x

QueenCee · 18/06/2011 08:58

harriet I have given up caffeine but that's only because my first PG resulted in MC and I'm super paranoid now! I gave up everything for my PG with DD and have done so again with this one. I'm sure a little of what you fancy is fine.... I'm just mental with worry if I do anything/ eat anything on the "forbidden" list!!!!
Youre probably better off as you are and being relaxed about it all.

pinkhollie · 18/06/2011 09:03

Harrietlichman if you've been fine with caffeine before in previous pregnancies I shouldn't worry.

I've just done my third pregnancy test Blush as getting paranoid about lack of symptoms, it was still a big big BFP. I'm sure I should be l pleased I'm feeling good but as it's my first have no idea what to expect from my body.

Tonight is the first major non- drinking challenge a midsummer ball, with a free bar, with my brother's girlfriend and my very astute female cousins. Decided to say nothing about not drinking as to bring attention to it would make them notice even more. Just hope I can get away with it as we're all a very close family and I can't wait to tell my grandparents. Spent most of yesterday eve googling early scans. I need to hear a heartbeat!
