Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
babycarmen · 16/06/2011 10:10

Im convinced this dizziness is getting worse, really bad all day, only shifts for about half an hour after ive eaten. Been trying the little and often thing but it doesnt help. Never had this with DD. I just want to get up and do stuff! But standing is out of the question. No morning sickness yet, although with DD it didnt apear til 12 weeks :/
Im 6+2 according to scan i had on monday but will be more accurate with my scan in 2 weeks.
Anyone else keep crying? Ive been crying ALL THE TIME. Reading a pregnancy magazing yesterday and burst into tears.. DP is very confused! :)

EsmeWeatherwax · 16/06/2011 11:06

babycarmen not crying here, but spectacularly bad tempered. I have no patience at all! Sooo tired as well, just can't get going at all. Rapidly going off food too, coffee has definitely fallen by the wayside, probably why I have no energy!

twittwooo so sorry to hear that, look after yourself sweetie.

Hello to all the new bfp-ers! Baby boom for February 2012!

I got my scan appointment through yesterday, 19th July!!! Seems like ages away, although we'll be on holiday for two weeks before then, so hopefully time will pass a bit quicker.

MissRedIndie · 16/06/2011 12:01

hi ladies, can I join too? Just found out this morning with two rather faint tests...still don't really believe it!! This'll be DC2, DD1 is nearly 9 months.

Hadn't planned for it all to happen so quickly after DD, but I got my period back round about the same time that we found out DH has testicular cancer and would need to start chemo. Felt like fate that we might get one more shot at having a baby naturally before the chemo possibly ruins his fertility chances for the future. Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong!

EDD seems to be 24 Feb 12 according to internet, can't seem to get a dr appointment for another 10 years or so though, joy Grin

Haven't had time to read through 16 pages of thread, but I'm sure I'll get to know all of you!

mistressploppy · 16/06/2011 12:12

Hello MissRed, nice to see you and congrats!

Good luck to your DH with the chemo. Will they harvest some sperm just in case you want No 3?? I know nothing about these things, sorry.

Grin at the 10yr wait at your GP's!

Jeezimacasalinga · 16/06/2011 12:25

Hi everyone, can I hop on the bus before the doors close? Had a positive result last night on clearblue digital - I love those things! (no good at deciphering lines). I tested a bit early as the 'menstrual' cramps were feeling more like implantation cramps, from what I remember with my previous pregnancies. Funny how even though I knew there was a chance I'd be pregnant, it is still a shock when it's confirmed isn't it! You think I'd have learned by now...All going well will be no 3 for me, have a DD 4 and a DS 2.

MissRedIndie, many congrats to you and wishing your husband all the best. I've added us both to the end of the list :-)

Well done ladies. I'm glad I'm not at the end of the list any more!

I've had a few crampy pains too. I'm starting to look a bit rough now! The house is a shit hole, but I'm going to lie on the sofa and watch Beauty and the Beast with DD because I'm knackered! x

Needle · 16/06/2011 13:29

Hi MissRedIndie , congratulations! My dd is only 10m and i'm due on 20th Feb, so i'm glad i'm not the only one with a small gap. Best of luck to your dh x
Would someone mind adding me to the list? I'm on a phone and can't update from here, it's Needle, 25, DC2, 20th Feb. Thank you!
I've had no symptoms at all yet, other than being really bloated. I rather wish I'd feel something just to make it feel real!

phlossie · 16/06/2011 13:34

Hello Needle, and congrats. Sure the symptoms will start soon. I'm just starting to feeling dodgy.

gonerogue · 16/06/2011 13:55

HI Needle and MissRed I have the same gap - DD is 10 months old next week.

MisRed Hope all goes well for you and your DH.

babycarmen and Esme the pregnancy hormones are definitely here - I had to go into the bank to report my debit card lost - they couldn't do anything for me if I didn't have ID - which I had forgotten. I could however ring the phone line and they would replace my lost card - without the need for ID. I got so annoyed I nearly cried at the woman at the lack of cutomer service desk. This was after I had waited ten mins to talk to her in the first place. I know I was unreasonable but I'm blaming it on the hormones; I'm not normally such a loon Grin

Went to DD's creche for an hour yesterday as part of her settling in. She loved it, wouldn't have noticed if I was there or not beause there were so many toys to play with. It's good to know she'll be happy enough there. They gave me a sample menu - the children eat better than I do in there. Grin

Congratulations to all the new people with BFPs.

AlpinePony · 16/06/2011 14:04

I'm another lunatic with a small age gap, my son turns 1 in a couple of weeks. :)

MissRed That's fate talking! Grin

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 16/06/2011 15:34

Can I join you guys?

I'm 38 and have DD 2.3. Found out at the weekend that I'm up the duff! A bit nervous as I had a MC in Feb about 5 weeks or so. Currently allegedly 4 weeks with an EDD of 20th Feb.

Keeping everything crossed for this time..

puzzletree · 16/06/2011 15:46

Wow so many new people, congratulations all!
I thought I was doing well today, but sat down on the sofa after lunch and have been pretty much flaked out since. Luckily the boys have co-operated with a film and quiet play afternoon. Have just been looking at a week-by-week thing on the internet as I gave away my pregnancy books, trying to imagine the teeny tiny little 7 weeks foetus somewhere inside this big bloated belly :) Weird.

Needle · 16/06/2011 15:56

Hey WicketKeeper, i'm due on 20th too. Congratulations!

QueenFee · 16/06/2011 18:12

missred - extra sticky vibes for you!

I will have a 2yr 8mth gap, I really wanted them closer than that but it wasnt to be!
When bubs is born I will have a 7 5 and 2 year old too which is beginning to look pretty crazy judging by some reactions I have had when I have told people :(

harrietlichman · 16/06/2011 18:20

hi all - welcome new bfpers! Am so ridiculously tired and have to go to a meeting at school (ds2 starts Sept) and then out for a 'drink' with friends - not sure what excuse will use (I do like my wine, it will be raised eyebrows at me ordering a soft drink....) Have really bad skin and so putting on make up like a drag queen...can you tell I'm not looking forward to this!? Just want to put my pyjamas on and curl up!

Xavielli · 16/06/2011 19:20

QueenFee mine will be 7, 5 and 16 months. People thought I was crazy having a 15 month age gap with the first two so dreading what they will say this time! At the end of the day we will make it work; that's what mums do best!

Feeling so bloated and crap today, it's amazing how quickly you forget how rubbish the first bit of pregnancy is. Mother nature is far too wiley!!!

puzzletree · 16/06/2011 19:59

Xavielli I vividly remember repeating the mantra "I never have to do this again" to get me through the worst bits of early pregnancy with DS2, and also labour. Oops, didn't listen to my own advice.

chocolatesparkle · 16/06/2011 20:07

I've got no symptoms other than tiredness and have started to irritate DH with my constant talk of wanting a private early scan for reassurance. I know i should be grateful for not feeling really unwell (and i'm sure my time will come) but i have this fear that i will get to 12 weeks, go for scan and find that there is nothing in there. Irrational i know, consider i keep getting BFPs but i thought that i would 'feel pregnant'!

More interestingly, i just wonder if anybody (who hasn't had a scan) is just 'convinced' that theyre carrying twins?! I saw posts on here with people saying that they knew from the day of conception that they were carrying twins even before their scans and i wonder if any feb mums to be can prove that early 'feeling' right?

aj71 · 16/06/2011 20:38

I'm sitting firmly in the no symptoms camp. But, I'm really trying to consider myself lucky rather than fear the worst. That said, it only works half the time I have such thoughts. I reckon it's more a case of the grass always being greener!

I think I must qualify for the largest age gap between child 1 & 2! My dd will be 12 years old when this one arrives.

I've decided not to run my 10k this weekend. I'd never forgive myself if something went wrong. Had to drop out without telling my friend why which was awkward. I will be glad when it's safe to tell everyone.

woowa · 16/06/2011 21:28

Evening all. Amazing how many there are of us on here! Triple decker i think.

Put my back out BADLY on tuesday, which is bad with a toddler and pregnant and exhausted anyway. Tuesday i mostly lay on the floor crying (because once I was down there I couldn't get up again), twas awful. But better yesterday and today, just really stiff and very tired. Not the best timing, hope it'll improve soon with a bit of gently stretching.

Trying to remember all the posts of yours i've just read...
sickness - the only time I was sick last time was very publickly, in the gardens of St Paul's cathedral, with hundreds of commuters and tourists watching. VERY embarrasing. was about 8 weeks. Awful!

I'm reassured that i'm not the only one who's getting stomach pains, i was really worried. probably just the flabby muscles stretching a bit.

I have a scan on tuesday, which is such a relief - we're away for two weeks after that and they wanted to scan me before i went away. Can't wait to find out if all is well. We're IVF which is why the early scan. COuld be twins :). Sorry to all those who are Envy about the early scans, it must be a horrible wait.

This DC is due day before DD's 2nd birthday. Quite a nice gap, in my head. I have a friend who has a year and 2 weeks between hers. Also lovely, but in a completely manic way!

Putting the bad back to bed now - sure laptop doesn't help much!

MissRedIndie · 16/06/2011 21:42

Hi all, thanks for the warm welcome! Mistress, yes, DH has had several banking sessions this week (not the Barclays kind!), though concept of IVF in the future freaks me out a little in case I accidentally ended up with DC4 and 5 rather than just DC3!!

Queen, thanks for the sticky vibes!! Sending those out to everyone Wink

I've got no symptoms either, though interestingly DD didn't want to breastfeed earlier, so maybe the hormones are kicking in and making my milk taste different. Kind of ready to stop anyway, so maybe this'll be the decider.

aj71 probably better that you don't do such a long run, so hard though feeling like you need to be walking on eggshells though! I was just getting used to handing DD over to my mum and sneaking off for a quick horse ride, but guess this pregnancy has put the kibosh on that!!

Xavielli · 16/06/2011 22:13

Did anyone else watch one born every minute USA?

Makes me very glad to have given birth in a country that is a bit more respectful of a mothers ability to deliver naturally.

QueenFee · 16/06/2011 23:18

Xavili
I had to swich over. They were so derogatory to mothers and selling epidurals whether they were wanted or not :(

LolaRennt · 16/06/2011 23:37

you're making me nervous guys :(

AlpinePony · 17/06/2011 05:05

It does annoy me when people "slate" you for choosing to have a small gap. I doubt the mother of twins gets a good public roasting for having "2 little ones"! Wink

aj71 I'm sorry you chose not to do your run, it would've made no difference.

missred I can understand your caution I think, the stakes are so much higher for you, but again, there's really no reason why you shouldn't ride at this stage. I'm actually doing x-country next week. There's nothing which will "dislodge" this baby if it's sticking. What I mean is, sport, bumpy car rides, falling out of bed - these are normal activities. I spoke to a sports doctor about this and he said that if the foetus is healthy - in the first trimester the only sports injury you could have which would damage the baby would be to land on a javelin and pierce your uterus - and those are pretty low odds! Wink Last time I had to stop riding because my balance was shot due to ms, but I did have a good pipe-opener at 16 weeks and then at around 28 weeks I had a "sit" and a walk around the yard, it was the only thing which helped the sciatica!
