Thinking of Rocket and Squib. Hope she gets home soon and is gettting lots of rest in hospital.

As Owlie says please pass on our love.

laurielou · 24/05/2011 15:14

Thanks everyone, sorry for being so rubbish Blush. Alps reading this morning was 142/94. It seems to be the lower one MW is more concerned about, I'm usually between 70 - 80.

Am currently cleaning. Well, when I'm not on here. I'm a bit odd in that house must be clean before I can relax. Its actually helping take my mind off it anyway. I shall definitely be taking things easy this evening though.

Boo Pliz to be passing on all our luffs to Rocket.

MadameBoo · 24/05/2011 15:21

Loz If cleaning is helping you to take your mind off it it's all good :)

Have sent all your collective luffs. No replies for a while so I hope she's getting some rest.

macaroonmum · 24/05/2011 15:21

Boo send rocket and side-salad a big non-DHB-type hug pliz.

I find cleaning very theraputic too loz.
Just once in a while, like ;)

LadyGoneGaga · 24/05/2011 15:40

Hmmm, nesting behaviour, Loz?

cheggers · 24/05/2011 16:27

ooh - i don't get in 'ere much but have just stumbled upon rockets's news.

fabulous!! - massive congrats. can't wait to hear the post-match chat Smile

also lozza - can not believe it is your turn next. am joining the ranks of those settling down to watch your cervix. good luck chick! all will be ace.

and another also. Edith is an absolutely beautiful name. congrats to stiffy too Smile

AlpinePony · 24/05/2011 17:02

Classic nesting behaviour there gal.

Medee · 24/05/2011 18:35

Look fwd to more info from rocket.

Laurie, my bp went up for the first time all pregnancy on the day i.went for induction. Induction itself wasn't so bad.

CurlyCasper · 24/05/2011 19:24

Just gleaned some sprocket info from elsewhere - so exciting!

Hope you are nice and relaxed now loz, with a shiny, clean house Grin

ginhag · 24/05/2011 20:15
TwinkleToes76 · 24/05/2011 20:52

Yay for Scorps and Rocket and Stiffy !! Luffly news

LadyGoneGaga · 24/05/2011 21:24

And how are you doing, Twinkle? Climbing the list swiftly I see Grin

TwinkleToes76 · 24/05/2011 21:53

Sssshhh LGG, I've still got AGES to go! I had my 36 week MW appointment a few days ago - baby is already 2/5 engaged. Sadly she has turned OP so currently typing this on the floor with my bum in the air trying to turn the little bugger! Tens machine has arrived, Entenox is stashed in the cupboard, birth pool in the living room, just playing the waiting game now! My daughter went to nursery yesterday after we had had a chat about what might happen at the birth and she apparently demonstrated during circle time the kinds of noises I might make in labour Blush Grin.

LadyGoneGaga · 24/05/2011 22:12

Haha! She didn't! That's hilarious. Grin We're hoping for a home birth too. Haven't warned MiniG what might go on as yet. MrG's parents have offered to drive down and look after him but who knows whether he'll see/hear anything. Am hoping I go into labour and sneeze baby out after he's gone to bed and he wakes up to a new little brother or sister

Sounds like baby snuggling down ready to go though, Twinks. Hope he/she turns round for you though. Are you on Maternity leave now?

We can't really get organised yet as still to move house, eek. But have a few more weeks than you I hope.

macaroonmum · 25/05/2011 07:34

Good luck with the appointment today lozza che sera, sera...

Hello twinkles loving the nursery NCT class!Hope that baby turns for you...

They aren't very good on homebirth over here and it costs a fortune because you have to have an ambulance outside...buuuutttt one of the things I was worried about was the fact that it might happen with thechild around...I'm not sure I'd want her there because I think she'd distract me or I'd be worrying about her and not be able to focus. Gogaga a midnight sneeze would be bloody perfect, wouldn't it?!

laurielou · 25/05/2011 08:37

Well, BP was still raised yesterday - in fact slightly higher than Mon. Arse. They seem to operate a 3 strikes & you're out rule here, so MW is coming back again today to check BP. If its still raised then it looks like I'll be heading into hossie for induction. Yeah, like that kind of news helps you relax & reduce BP Hmm.

Am actually OK - well, there's sod all I can do about it, isn't there?

Twinks I love the fact your daughter has been demonstrating birth noises - genius!

Cheggs how fantabulous to see you here! Hope all is going well.

Also thanks to everyone else for good wishes & encouragement. I'm being a bit of a sap, aren't I?

LadyGoneGaga · 25/05/2011 08:52

Good luck for midwife appt today, Loz. What time is she coming?

Cosmosis · 25/05/2011 09:21

All the best for today loz keep up posted, but try to focus on the positive ? if you do end up going in for induction, then you get to meet your baybee really soon Grin Cor it?s all go in here at the moment isn?t it! We?d better book some hunky builders for an extension to the cresh.

Ginfox · 25/05/2011 09:24

You are not being a sap Lulu, you are being normal and human and wanting to do things your way.

Hope MW lets you off the hook today - fingers crossed.

Twinks genius award for training DD to assist at birth, and passing on her knowledge to her mates. Grin

AlpinePony · 25/05/2011 09:54

Best of luck loz. As Cossie says, inductions just mean you get to meet your baybee sooner and although it didn't go great for me, medee had no bother - and your body should be pretty "ripe" by now. The inductions which seem to go less well are the ones performed before term - stands to reason really! Btw, I am so desperately envious of you spending a long hot summer strolling on the beach and eating ice-cream. Envy

Cosmosis · 25/05/2011 10:30

I agree alps I have already decided that next time, I am having my baybee in March so that by the time summer comes I am ready to have a lovely summer on mat leave. Having Artie at the end of summer was very bad planning, especially with all the snow. < abandons plans for second>

Orchid12 · 25/05/2011 10:46

Gah - 'tinterweb just lost my reply.

In essence, good luck to loz

Twinks good to see you again. I also spent last night with my bum in the air, leaning forward as much as possible as I also have an OP baby that needs turning. Makes trying to relax fairly difficult of an evening!

I am supposed to be working from home today, although am running have run out of work to do! Am off next week to look after mini O for half term and the following week is my last week at work so not sure what to do with myself! Have just cleaned the window in squidge's room as it was filthy and whilst doing so I noticed a few damp/discoloured patches on the ceiling. Am torn between ignoring I ever saw them and telling Mr O. We have only just spent a fortune on getting all the lead flashing replaced at the front of the house. I'm not sure we can bear having to spend out on getting broken tiles fixed at the back of the house too (which is what I think may be behind the damp patches). Bloody houses, just when I think we're getting somewhere another thing goes wrong with it. That'll teach us to buy a house with 'character'!!! Pffft.

LadyGoneGaga · 25/05/2011 11:13

Orchid I had this last year in my bedroom. It might be just one that has slipped in which case should only cost you £50 or so to put right. T'is annoying though. That's why have taken the sad decision to leave my beautiful sash windows and original features (and draughts, huge heating bills and leaky roof) for a 1980's box with double glazing and insulation and stuff this time. Also cos you have to add an extra 50% on for period property round here it seems.

How do you know babies are OP? Did midwife tell you? Or can you feel something? Am hoping mine isn't...really want/deserve a straightforward sneeze type birth after the transverse arrest/asynclitic labour last time. Think baby is head down but not sure - had a big bulge in top of bump which is not where I though bum was according to previous "kicks" - is so confusing!

laurielou · 25/05/2011 11:29

God knows how, but BP has gone down. Only a bit - lower figure is now 90 as opposed to 94 yesterday. 90 is the cut off point for remaining midwife led, so we're back on course. Listened to HB - strong & good - of course Bug is totally relaxed & has no idea of the stress s/he is causing mum & dad Grin. Next MW appointment will be Monday to check BP again, but for now I'm back on the pineapple & raspberry leaf tea. Woo Hoo!!

You do realise, after all this angst about remaining midwife led, I'll end up screaming for an epidural & carted off to the consultant ward anyway, don't you?

Alps the sea front is looking a bit of a mess at the moment Sad. Rabiotti's & Chandlers in the process of being demolished. But there is still the ice-cream parlour next to the pier, so its not all lost. Maybe I should add Thayers to a list of potential names?

Ginfox · 25/05/2011 11:39

Yay Laurie! Soooo pleased you're back on track.

I'm not far from the beach, and have a lovely mental image of strolling along in the sunshine with a sleeping foxcub in the buggy.
