Waaaaahhhoooooooo Smile Well done rocketmama So pleased all is well - can't wait to see the piccies of Sprout soon.

Morgan - what the others said.

Orchid12 · 24/05/2011 07:41

Oooh, can't remember who was asking now, but I'll be starting ML at 37 weeks this time (think I did the same with mini O), but my days are very much quieter now that teaching has finished so I can sit at my desk and get on with things in my own time. Not sure I could do any sort of running around.

CurlyCasper · 24/05/2011 08:03

Hurray for rocket!

CluckyKate · 24/05/2011 08:07

Woohoo - Congratulations on the safe arrival of your pocketrocket Rocketgirl. Great to hear all is well. Can't wait to hear how it all went Grin

Yay for rocketbabe!!!

owlbooty · 24/05/2011 09:25

Woohoo! Hurrah for Rocket and MiniRocket :)

Ginfox · 24/05/2011 10:13

Yay for all Eshlettes! Looking forward to hearing stories from Scorps and Rocket, as well as promising signs from Laurie? Anything at all?

Who is this Morgan? Is it one of the Trolls I keep reading about? Certainly smells like a troll....

LadyGoneGaga · 24/05/2011 10:27

Following yesterdays ML discussions have decided to pull mine forwards also. Only by a week but leaving a month today seems a lot more manageable somehow. So will leave at 36 weeks. And got 3 or 4 days off in that time to move house as well. And a bank holiday meaning 18 working days!!

I think a troll, Gin. Bit disconcerting as I always feel like the Palais/Deli gates are secure but forget any random may read my daily excretions.

Let's dig a moat I say. And murder holes. Oh dear, been reading too much Mediaeval fantasy literature on holiday.

Come on Sprocket and Score - let's have a PA by our newest new Mum's! Want to do some more squeeing.

Any twinges, Loz'es cervix?

Ginfox · 24/05/2011 10:46

We could dig a moat LadyG, although I'm having such frequent sit-down-and-have-a-cuppa breaks lately, that it might take a while. Trying to remember how the Billy Goats Gruff dealt with their troll. Pretty sure Daddy Goat kicked it's arse, in which case we should get an aggressive billy goat as a mascot and protector of the Deli.

And good plan to bring ML forward. I was so achy by the end of a day at work, that 32 weeks didn't seem too soon at all. And I'm glad to be off while still mobile enough to go on all-day shopping sprees do a few chores before foxcub gets here.

Ariesgirl · 24/05/2011 10:48

Huzzah for baby Rocket! Congrats, lovely!

What a cluster lay this is!

laurielou · 24/05/2011 10:49

Woo Hoo!! Baby Rocket. How fantabulous - CONGRATULATIONS!

Well you're a peach aren't you Morgan? Off you fuck.

Crap - everyone is now staring at my cervix aren't they? Well, MW appointment was a mixed bag. Measuring 39 cms, perfect for 39 weeks. Heartbeat strong & all good. But glucose in wee & at first she couldn't really find my BP Confused. Once convinced that I wasn't quite dead, she eventually found it & it was a bit high. Not worryingly so, just high for me. So now I'm house bound for today as she's coming over to check BP & wee again at some point. Unless all back to normal she'll send me into hossie for blood tests. TBH BP was prolly high as my dad had just come over to start putting baby wardrobe together only to find the corner of the door was battered. So I need a new one delivered. Arse! Otherwise I'm feeling absolutely fine & no signs of an imminent lay. I did get a cuddle with a 3 week old yesterday - squeeeeeeee!

Re ML I left work at 35 weeks. Not really by choice as such, I just had a lot of annual leave to take. At the time I felt I could easily have gone on working for another few weeks. However, its surprising how quickly the last 4 weeks have gone, & how much time I've spent preparing for Bug's arrival. I think whenever you decide to finish you kind of condition yourself to deal with it.

Shit - I'm due to have a baby in less than a week, aren't I? Shock Grin

Ginfox · 24/05/2011 11:43

Poor Loz! Hope you've got your feet up and aren't stressing about wardrobes/BP/less than a week to go etc. Wondering if we should take Lozwatch off-air temporarily to avoid cervix stage-fright.

I spent yesterday squeeing at my friend's 6 month old. She is very cute and smiley, and somehow I managed to block out my friend saying things like "she still doesn't sleep for more than an hour at a time". Because that won't be the case with the foxcub. Will it. No.

Orchid12 · 24/05/2011 11:46

Mops Lozzas fevered brow and offers a stiff whiskey to steady the nerves Smile

I also had a MW appt yesterday. All is fine, had bloods done again to check iron levels as was low last time. I've been taking Spatone so I'm hoping this time they come back ok, otherwise will be onto the iron tablets. Baby is back to back too, so time for some rocking on all fours to get it to move round. Head is 'at brim' so is ready to drop down any time, things are moving in the right direction!

CurlyCasper · 24/05/2011 12:43

I finished for ML at the end of this week last year Sad. I was 33 weeks, and had a baby at 36 - so it was definitely the right move! Also, I just couldn't go on. I was too tired and I couldn't be bothered with my work etc. I just wanted to focus on my baby.

Hope all on when MW visit later loz. You're having a baby very soon!

laurielou · 24/05/2011 13:24

OK, update. Wee was fine today, but BP even higher than yesterday. MW rang hossie, but BP still not at levels where I need medication. So, it will be checked again tomorrow. If its still high tomorrow I'm looking at a trip into hospital to be induced Shock

Get ready to administer a good ole fish slapping. This has really upset me. I feet mightily pissed off that I've had textbook BP all the way through, and in the final week my body seems to have bottled it. If I have to be induced then it'll mean consultant ward, & not the lovely double bedded Mr Loz can stay all night MLU.

I know none of this is actually helping BP, I know safe arrival of Bug is the important thing, & I know it may still not happen this way. I'm a sane, rational woman, so why won't my feelings catch up with the rational side of me?

LadyGoneGaga · 24/05/2011 13:37

Laurie chill - you'll make it go even higher if you stress out about it. Hopefully is just one of those things and will have fallen tomorrow. I suggest you spend day doing lots of relaxing things - do some yoga and nice baths, maybe book a massage.

And if is still high tomorrow, que sera sera. I know it's annoying but better to get you and Bug delivered healthily. And you might not even have to stay in very long at all.

macaroonmum · 24/05/2011 13:47

Hope it sorts itself out without needing to go down the induction route m'dear. It's alright to be upset about it all - It's just all so unexpected isn't it? Give yourself a while to get your head round it and maybe zen will set in and things won't seem so bad

rocket massive, massive congrats - can't wait to hear all about it. Yey, yey, yey!

P.S. I love that invader alert that brings all the ESH out of hiding!

AlpinePony · 24/05/2011 14:07

laurie Perhaps it's a case of white-coat hypertension? Mine rocketed every time they strapped one of their machines on to me. :( What is your BP now and what is it "normally"? My pregnancy started at 110/60 and I was admitted at 140/100 I think, highest was 185/125. :(

Cosmosis · 24/05/2011 14:15

I just suggest going and doing something to take your mind off it, book a facial or massage or go to lunch with a mate or something like that. Sitting at home thinking about your bp isn?t going to help matters at all. But you know that!

Ginfox · 24/05/2011 14:17

Lozza - what GG said.

If you do everything you can today to get your BP down a bit, but end up going in anyway, at least you tried your best. Don't beat yourself up about it.

And focus on the prize - a gorgeous snuffly Bug!

Just had my 1st cup of RLT. It's not so bad, but I do wonder if they just scraped some bits off the local forest floor and put it in a bag. Sort of woody and mossy.

MadameBoo · 24/05/2011 14:27

You can get capsules Gin if the tea's not to your taste.

I am sitting on Rocket info. I know the name (but I'm not going to spoil her pleasure at announcing it) and have been texting back and forth with her today. She's still in hosp - and talk about DHB - I am truly in awe at her rock hardness!

She said to apologise to you all for not being able to let you know herself (bless her) and she was asking for an upate on Scorps.

owlbooty · 24/05/2011 15:07

Lozza - my BP goes up by a horrifying amount every time a doctor takes it. At least it is consistently dodgy at 140/80. I wonder if, should they decide induction is the only way to proceed, they would consider going for the sweep and insert magic drucks method rather than heading straight for the syntocin stuff as in my locality, the former can still result in a home birth or MLU birth whereas the drip is game over. If there is nowt dodgy in your wee then that might be an option?

Boo pliz to tell Rocket we luff her and already know she is a DHB despite all the girlie crocheting. Grin
