folicacid and truffkin def not blooming here either:) But FX it will come

lizzy really horrible about DH not being able to go to the scan. Have no idea about father's rights though. I will be going to my 13 wk scan alone too because DH has to work.

lk hug! It is normal to feel tired and not want to do anything and it will pass. So will the 'fat' phase - i am there - and a sweet little bump will appear so maybe just try and get excited about the future? And next time you train for a triathelon you can push baby in a buggy:) (for the running portion:))

chipmonkey FX for scan!! And for everyone else getting one! So great to hear all the scan results. Can believe the beans are sucking thumbs and moving! Can't wait until next week when I finally get mine!!

I did buy some maternity tops. Look so much better in them (not like a sausage), buying the belly band this week - refuse to buy more work pants!

Poppet45 · 27/04/2011 18:00

And my scan a week on Thursday too.

TwoJackRussellsandabean · 27/04/2011 18:34

Had scan today, went really well, although finding it hard to get it round my head that the baby is there!! I've added a couple of photos to my profile if anyone wants a nosey :)

What was interesting though was that I have a cyst the size of a newborn baby's head on my left ovary and several smaller ones on my right one, so I figure we have been sooo lucky to have conceived and in a relatively short time, so fx that everything goes to plan!!! Imagine if I had never gotten duffed up and found out that it was there!

Baby H wasn't for playing ball so couldn't do the nuchal measurement, have to have a blood test at 15 weeks, with another scan to make sure that the cyst hasn't grown any bigger.

Thought you guys might appreciate the following website, stumble is a wonderful thing :)

chipmonkey · 27/04/2011 18:40

TwoJackRussells the scan pics are great! So clear!

As to that website you linked to, can I just say that dh and I were young, and we needed the money.

Staceroo · 27/04/2011 18:52

I also have to wait till next week for scan cep.

Congratulatiopns though Moosey, Cali and twojacks! (Can you tell I was keeping notes whilst reading through!)

Cookie, I would defo go for a bra measurement! By 9 weeks I had gone from a 32 B to a 32 D!!!! Couldn't believe it but so much more comfortable! And now I have bras that fit properly, it's not a problem wearing underwire etc!

Buffy sorry x posts with you last night, good luck telling the boss, I'm going for it tomorrow! HSe really is gonna be stressed I think! I moved offices in November and made a big deal about how I'd stay for a while and really commit myself to the department. No I will really leave them in the lurch! And just in time for our busy season to kick off! ooops!

Also worried that the pay review before I go on mat leave won't be a good one! I know they can't hold it against be in the law etc, but you know they will find an excuse not to put my salary up in October, when I'm disappearing for a year in November!

Hello Missy glad you joined us! (Someone may be poaching people from the 1st trimester thread in pregnancy section!) [chmmm]

Well utterly falling asleep at my desk today, glad there's only one more day left! Must go supervise dh now, he's making a chilli!

Staceroo · 27/04/2011 18:52

That [chmmm] should have been... [chmm]

TwoJackRussellsandabean · 27/04/2011 19:08

Thanks chip I think I might have fallen in love just a little bit more with the bump, although there is still such a long way to go!!!

To everyone who has their scan's in the next week or so, hope everything goes as well, looking forward to seeing more pictures :)

freeangel · 27/04/2011 19:14

Hiya all, just a quick hi to say scan went well! Baby bean very wriggly, and even turned back away from us! They turned to face us, very weird looking at the dark shapes for eyes! Then have our piccies of babys hand near mouth showing the fingers bent perfect! Was amazing. Im dated at 13 weeks measuring 70mm! Hope everyone is ok x

H007 · 27/04/2011 19:37

Stamping foot :( still waiting for my scan date! Not fair hahaha.... My friend (sonographer) found my scan referral and GP hadn't put EDD so hospital were going to send it back to GP luckily friend stepped in and added dates and passed to the appointment lady :) Yey.... Date should come through next day or so fx

alicat10 · 27/04/2011 19:42

What a lot of scans today!

Congrats Moosey, Cali, TwoJacks & Freeangel

Had my Oscar and all fine - risk is 1 in 4,559 so happy with that. Very uncooperative bean though - basically upside down resting on shoulders with head scrunched up (will try and put pic on profile) so didn't get to see very well. Also we had a specialist midwife instead of a consultant and she didn't inspire me with confidence or show us as many views as we've seen at previous Oscars.

But overall good so have started telling people...

Norfolkbumpkin · 27/04/2011 19:42

I am so sorry to bring bad news into a day of positive and heartwarming scan news, but I had my 12 week scan today and unfortunately the baby died at approx 9 weeks. I am totally gobsmacked as I have been getting noticeably bigger this past 2 weeks and have had no inkling at all that things were not right. So, it's off the November bus for me and back to trying again. I wish you all the very best for the coming months, and that November brings you much joy. Take care xx

alicat10 · 27/04/2011 19:44

Norfolkbumpkin · 27/04/2011 20:18

Thank you ladies for your kind words. I feel despondent as had last mc last April and it has taken me a year to get this far again. I am 39 and feel like my time is running out, poor old duffer! I shall move on over to the lovely people on the mc threads now for a while to get my head around things.

MooseyMoo · 27/04/2011 20:20

Norfolk I'm so sorry to hear your news. I can't imagine what you are going through but best of luck that you will jumping on another antenatal bus soon.

LittleWhiteWolf · 27/04/2011 20:22

I'm sorry Norfolk. I'm really sad for you Sad
I've had a similar experience in that I had a scan a week earlier than planned (11.3) due to a week of spotting and bleeding to find that my baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. I have an ERPC booked for Friday.
Its horrible, isn't it? Have you decided on what you are going to do? I don't know about you, but I just feel like I'm in limbo.
Sorry everyone to hijack this thread. Congrats to all who've had good scans. I wish you uneventful pregnancies! Smile
Norfolk, pm me if you want to talk.

freeangel · 27/04/2011 20:27
