OK, well we've needed a new thread for ages so I've taken it upon myself to start it.

Good luck ladies - we are nearly down to the last month

35 + 2 or should I say "T minus 4wks 5 days"!

Feel like i need a wee all the time, baby is really pressing down at the mo,[little monkey]...

george32 · 19/11/2005 10:36

Ebbie, here are Jays instructions for the photo site:
Its dead simple all you have to do is go to this link;
health.groups.yahoo.com/group/mumsnetpix/
and join the group, then you can access and add pics til your hearts content, some links there too

As much as I dislike having my picture taken (although you'd never tell, I'm in almost half of them ) it's great to have them so thanks DQ & Jay for taking cameras.

Scully, your DD was lovely and well behaved and she is absolutely gorgeous. I don't think there are many children who would put up with sitting for hours in a restaurant with 7 scary beach balls!

DQ, how exciting, shows my naivety, I would have been screaming about going into labour if I'd had a show. It is coming round very quickly now. Off to buy nice things for my labour & hospital bag today. Watch me not have any of the practical stuff when I get to hospital but turn up with a lovely collection of Molton Brown bath goodies!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned out.

bonkerz · 19/11/2005 10:41

morning all,
Cant walk this morning. My right leg keeps giving way and my left hip seems to have frozen! I have a low pain threshold as it is and really think if the pain continues i may have to pop to hospital although im not sure what they can do! HAve just taken co-codamol and am on my way to bed at the moment via the computer (half way point in my room!!)
DS and DSD are sat infront of TV and are aware im not too good today so i just hope they behave!
DS is meant to be going to a party in a bit so am gonna have to make some apologies i think as i was meant to be helping!!
Dh at work so im all alone with the kids which is scary especially as i dont feel safe enough to get down the stairs or in and out of the bath!

Nemo1977 · 19/11/2005 11:06

morning all

Bonkerz
hope you feel better soon

how is everyone else?
I am ok just feel shattered all the time and really really need to start babys room as am getting a bit panicky now that nothing is done at all. DH is going to work soon so will start then
hope everyone hads a good weekend.

Nemo1977 · 19/11/2005 14:00

well 3 hours later and I nearly have a nursery. Have had to stop for a little bit as otherwise I will go into labour..lol.
I have a cot that now has bedding on...lovely winnie the pooh curtains up. Bedding folded and put away, clothes away. Clean windows and sil..lol I cant tell you how relieved I am feeling at the minute. OF course there is a load of stuff now in our bedroom waiting to go in loft. I also need to take up the rug and put it in the wash but it can go in later when I am finished as then I can hoover. All I have to do now is tidy away nappies into wardrobe, sort out toy box which has half my xmas presents in..lol and tidy top of the wardrobe where things have been dumped then I am officially ready. Phew I am sooooooooooooooooo happy

bonkerz · 19/11/2005 14:26

well done Nemo.

I spent all morning in bed and have only just managed to get dressed and take ben to his party! Am so sore in groin area, catch 22 again cos if i move its agony but does help after a while and sitting is fine but agony when i need to move!!!
Need to hoover and do the washing and clean my new cooker and tidy out the car but physically cant and i hate myself.

bonkerz · 19/11/2005 14:27

Please forgive me for all this moaning!

Nemo1977 · 19/11/2005 14:33

Bonkerz dont be so harsh on yourself hun..the spd s a nightmare but i find sitting still makes it a lot worse as it has time to seize up. However am also lucky as I have a fairly high pain threshold.

ei23mummy · 19/11/2005 14:35

hello everyone!!
our comp has been a bit of a pain in the arse as it refused to let me log on all day yesterday!! an then when it did (finally...) it wouldnt let me onto the internet!! need a new one me thinks!!

Nemo1977 · 19/11/2005 17:57

Anyways it is done...wooooo hoooooooo I feel so relieved as I know baby will be here this time in 4wks and last couple of weeks I want to be doing as little as possible. So I know have clothes sorted, a room and all I have left to do is hoover/mop the floor and put rug back. Got 3 binbags of stuff for tip but dh has my car today and tommorow because of his breaking down on thurs night.

ebbie22 · 19/11/2005 19:13

bonkerz · 19/11/2005 20:20

Evening all,

Am feeling a bit better, have been on my ball and although my hips still hurt my groin area isnt so sore!

Need to share with you my amazing find!! In morrisons yesterday i found FRUIT FLAVOURED ANTACID TABLETS. They were 89p for a box of 48 tablets. Rang midwife to check i could take them and she said they were just an alternative to gaviscon so tonight when my acid reflux started i sucked on a blackcurrent flavoured tablet and.......... ITS WORKED!!! The tablet wasnt as chalky as gaviscon tablet and tasted pleasant! Look like little refreshers!! Am so relieved and also annoyed i didnt know about them before now!
Hope that helps everyone who hates gaviscon liquid and tablets!!

bonkerz · 20/11/2005 10:06

morning, moany pants is here again!

not a great start today! Alex decided to kick me bad for 2 hours at 4am this morning then Dh got up with kids at 7.30 but managed to make so much noise i was forced to get up at 8am! As i headed down the stairs i managed to fall on my back and fell down 6 steps! Ankle very sore and left hand bit swollen. Luckily didnt hurt my bump but Dh wasnt that helpful or sympathetic!
After a moan from him about how the kids watched TV all day yesterday (errr hello, im 34 weeks pregnant with very painful legs and groin!!) i decided to get dressed and take them to a soft play thing. This did actually make DH think about what he had said and he has sent me off to bed for a rest and taken the kids himself. So im upstairs just about to go to bed and..... Alex has started to kick about again!!!! Want to cry and scream all at the same time.

scully · 20/11/2005 13:20

Shame poor you bonkerz, hope you're feeling better soon and didn't hurt yourself too badly falling. I'm sleeping ok but just have more cramping pain again this morning which has lasted longer than it usually does. And dh has just upset me by getting cross at dd so just having one of those mornings where I'm not coping very well with life

Nemo1977 · 20/11/2005 14:12

aww ladies
hope you are both feeling better soon...just think in grand scheme there really isnt much longer to go!!!! Then we will have our gorgeous little bundles here...how exciting

I have done not a lot today as I cant walk very well so have had a craft day with Adam. Making xmas cards etc which has been really theraputic. Keep walking past nursery all excited now although I did have a cry last night when I realised that within 4 wks my baby will be home WE put all the straggly bits in loft last night so apart from sorting out xmas presents etc the house is pretty tidy which seems surreal as the past 5mths it has been a nightmare..lol Adam has just gone for his sleep so have decided to watch that take that thing from the other night.

Take care all and hope your resting up..

dramaqueen72 · 20/11/2005 17:43

verrrrrrrrrrrrreeeee quiet here ladies, everyone okay?
nemo, bless you for you tears over nursery and tidy house and time running out.etc.....I am s o the same, MAD moments of sad or happy tears over everything.
s/h how are those twinges? not to bad I hope! I feel very weird, baby must of dropped or be pressing on something 'else' as feel totally different froma few days ago.......bump low, resting on lap when I sit down, -v uncomfy! what IS it doing on there??!! 2 more weeks to scan.....eek!!!!
yesterday i got my christmas gift early (no, not the baby..........phew!) but my new slr digi camera. ohhhhhhhhhhhh its heaven. and dh was quite right i wanted it NOW ready for pg bump/nursery/baby pictures, not at christmas
scully, ugh hate sundays they often are quarreling days in our house simply because everyones home and we all fall over each other.....hope your day got better.
george where are you? still shopping???
hope to see you all about later on/monday.

scully · 20/11/2005 19:15

Feeling better now, well sort of, think I just need to go to bed and wake up tomorrow for my last week of work 3 day week too and I'm out for lunch on 2 of the 3 days so nothing really to complain about there. Have been trying to look online this afternoon for new moses basket and cot mattress, but with dd up here into all the baby things, it's been a bit difficult.
Think I may need to just into a nice bath and relax a bit, without my shadow, if that's possible.....

sweetheart · 21/11/2005 08:59

Wow it has been quiet over the weekend. Sorry your not feeling great Bonkerz - hope your better after your fall.

DQ - yes, still getting pains. I'm not sure what they are though. They don't come and go like contractions - it's like a constant tummy ache. I don't think it's wind as farting doesn't seem to releave the problem! I've got the mw tomorrow so I'll ask her. Hopefully she'll say things are kicking off early because I'm really fed up of being so huge now!

Haven't done anything this weekend really - trips to hospital to visit my mum and thats about it. I'm too big and heavy to go trapsing round shops!

Hows everyone else today?

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 21/11/2005 09:56

morning all
SH hope the pains are the start for you...baby is engaged isnt it????

scully enjoy your last week...woo hoo

Not a lot going on here, just some housework and entertaining adam. Also might make some more xmas cards...its all frosty here has been all weekend but feels lovely when indoors and all warm..am sure would be different story if i had to go out and about!!

scully · 21/11/2005 10:22

It was -3 when dh dropped me at the station at 6.50am this morning - good thing I have one fleece that still zips up over the bump!
Last week, yay! So ready to stop thinking about work for a bit, although I will miss the team, have been here 6yrs and it's pretty relaxed given the environment.
Just need dh to find a job now, so we can save my maternity pay as planned, rather than need it to pay the bills.....trying hard not to stress about this yet though.......
pains sh, everytime someone has a twinge now we'll all be wondering! my cramping has stopped for now but had me thinking yesterday it could have meant something.
a friend in new york had a baby girl last week - mia - she's so cute in the photo!

Jaysfirst · 21/11/2005 10:57

hi everyone, i was starting to feel guilty about not posting over the weekend but readign through seems like i wasnt the only one that wasnt here! Very quiet!

Weekend was good, helped out at my friends son's ninth bday on saturday, 18 children in a cpl of fields playing with archery, 'BB' guns, swing ball, go karting and then tank and 4x4 rides round the muddiest field in the world! to be fair i didnt do a lot, except organise the party bags, it was nice to be out and a bout though for a while aid for it yesterday though, SPD gave me hell beyond hell, so much so that i just couldnt go to bed, had to sleep ( of a fashion) upright in the lounge, propped up with pillows and exercise ball.....god it was bad. So feeling pretty knackered and emotional today , coming out in sympathy with you Bonkerz, hope youre feeling a bit better hun!

I just counted up the daysi have left, its only 40, so i guess it has to be A LOT LESS for some of you!!!! SH hipe your pains turn out to be the start of something, or else it starts getting so fraustrating am sure! Bety ou cant believe that your last week has come scully, its nice as you have a short week too, not like work really, more like the count down to freedom!

Sup to be going to mums and bumps this afternoon, guess i will play that by ear and see how i feel.

george32 · 21/11/2005 11:17

Hey everyone. Busy weekend of sorting the nursery (it's nearly there) and unpacking everything we have been buying over the last few weeks. Out shopping too for hospital bag things and actually packed it!!.
I've also been feeling pretty grim over the weekend. Feeling enormous & uncomfortable and teary and generally having a good whinge. Hoping I perk up again this week, can't cope with 6 weeks of feeling this bad.

Bonkerz, you be careful, Ignore your DH's moaning, if you want to take it easy, then take it easy.

Good luck with your last week Scully, hope you enjoy it. Pack your shadow off to me for a day or so, I'm sure she will get me smiling .

Jay, sounds like a hectic day for you. No wonder you were in pain. Hope you feel a bit better today.

DQ, lucky you getting a new camera! It does make sense to have it now really rather than miss all the exciting bits.

Hope your pains are OK SH. Could you be our 2nd born in Nov, Dec lady?

Nemo, sounds lovely all snuggled in the warm making Christmas cards. Glad you have got your nursery sorted out. It does make it all very real doesn't it.

Off to finally sort out curtains now......

ei23mummy · 21/11/2005 13:36

good afternoon everyone! gosh it aint half been quiet here this weekend!

Hi Ei,
How was sitting in the cinema for that length of time? I want to go but might have to take my hot water bottle with me for my back (Sound like a pensioner!! )

I'm still faffing with curtains. Look lovely though.

I can't stop eating today. I'm starving all the time. Please don't say the baby is having a growth spurt - there is no more room!!!
