OK, well we've needed a new thread for ages so I've taken it upon myself to start it.

Good luck ladies - we are nearly down to the last month

35 + 2 or should I say "T minus 4wks 5 days"!

Well done sh

Think I'm still in denial

sweetheart · 01/11/2005 09:33

I've just had a very frightening thought after looking at the due in Nov thread. This time next month I will be 3 days away from my due date AND some people may already have babies

I'm having a very hot flush here!!!!!!!!!

flutt
How are you now? any more blood? Sounds like piles.. Drink loads of OJ and apple juice keeps me like clock work...

Anyone see the programme about the 3 sisters?

MINNIE1 · 01/11/2005 09:59

same as george32 31+5

ebbie22 · 01/11/2005 10:07

Thank you for asking, cold wise, yes i feel much better, but the dizzyness is another story altogether....
am so scared about the effect it will have on the labour too...
How are you all doing....?

scully · 01/11/2005 10:08

George, don't speak too soon, you never know.....
I am getting curious now to know what I am having, & what we may eventually name it, still no idea on that front
Saw Finley on a list last night which I don't mind, and we were thinking about Ged/Jed last night, although I would want it to be short for something other than Gerrard........
How can not one name have jumped out and said 'pick me'........

dramaqueen72 · 01/11/2005 10:17

morning ladies nice new thread!!!
so we're on our countdown are we? oh boy. that makes me nervous! so much to do, sort out etc..........okay i think i'll stick my head back in the sand again!!!!
scully we are also not 100% on our boys name, our girls name is settled, so can we all think pink thoughts for me??!LOL our girls name DID jump out and say 'me me' but not quite our boys names. still we've narrowed it down to about three.......so he could end up with a long name!!
32+2

scully · 01/11/2005 10:31

No names have jumped out for either sex, hoping it might help when we meet him/her.
I like Megan for a girl, but in Australia it's pronouced Meegan, not Meg(an), which would irritate me no end when we live there.
oh well, we'll just be keeping everyone in suspense for a while afterwards

MINNIE1 · 01/11/2005 10:40

Scully,
we have no names as of yet!! I think if you have a few ideas you will know the right one when you meet you bundle of joy..

ninah · 01/11/2005 10:40

dq we have LOADS of time. Really! even more than you George at least I think so, bump is very low and colleague said I had the 'relaxed' look in my eyes of a woman about to give birth - (think she meant desperate!) HELP, I'm still at work til 16 Dec!
no names jumping out at me - boy OR girl.

ninah · 01/11/2005 10:41

I'm at work until 25/11 Ninah, 3wks before edd.....just have this nagging feeling that I haven't allowed enough time.....
Think I was just naive/blase about it all last time, and it all worked out!

ebbie22 · 01/11/2005 11:00

I too, havent any names that jump out at me...although i love the name Bexley james but dh hates it...think if its a boy will be jack daniel, girlsilove the name hollie maibut again dh says no....

expatinscotland · 01/11/2005 11:04

Have girl name chosen, but no boy name.

Damn this swelling is AWFUL. My feet and ankles are HUGE and can no longer wear my watch or ring. Go on Thursday for check up.

WAY too much to do and I need to try to work till 39 weeks - 11 December - but it's already a hard slog and there's so much to do.

Had trouble sleeping last night - it's too damn hot for this time of year!

34 weeks and counting.

bonkerz · 01/11/2005 11:05

So much for my lazy day! I laid on my bed looking at a cupboard and got twitchy so i sorted the cupboard out! Now have 8 black bags that need lugging to the tip and 3 black bags of clothes that need taking to charity shop! All travel cots and pool table is now in cupboard!! Had a cry too as found my mums birthday cards to DS for his 1st and 2nd birthday so have put them in a folder for him! Sometimes being a horder does pay!
May have to go put a TRUE STORY on now that i took from my mums house on Friday as i need to let go of some emotion!

ninah · 01/11/2005 11:25

how nice to have the cards from your mum bonkerz. I thank goodness mine was such a prolific knitter, ds still has a blanket she made for him he carries everywhere and baby will have LOTS of jumpers!

dramaqueen72 · 01/11/2005 11:37

oh love hand knitted jumpers ninah! does she take orders? LOL!
we have cot and super matress arriving this week, a moses basket from my mother , with new patchwork bedding (by my mother)being made as we speak.
just need to hike up to ikea for the narrow chest of drawers, and find my blackout blind somewhere too.
then silly bits left to get, which i could do in one afternoon. how exciting! I might actually be ready.

dh is just booking me in with aromatherapist -thank god as am achey enough to fall apart here- and has also found me an super qualified acupuncturist who specialises in breech babies turning, (should this little one decide hes not going to by 35 wks) how fab. today I LOVE my husband LOL
now, lets finish the christmas shopping and I'l be totally relaxed !

dramaqueen72 · 01/11/2005 11:42

BTW ladies, my fav magazine, 'junior, pregnancy and baby' has a free book with ti this month, fabulous 'blooming birth' one, full of advice and tips on births, (first or second time round) coping tips, facing fears etc etc, I couldnt put it down last night (and i have had three babies already LOL!) so go buy yours today. think youd find it really helpful, eps if its your first, or its going to be different this time round from your first.

and no, I'm not getting paid for saying so

sweetheart · 01/11/2005 12:05

DQ - it's great to see you back on the thread - how is your dh feeling?

Have quite a headache today, I'm feeling really releaved that I finish work next Friday. Don't think I could take it for any longer!

How about a names thread just for us Dec ladies. We can all post a list of names that we like and you never know - those of you looking for that perfect name might just find it!

Well, I'll start one, I've got loads of time to spare today
