Oooh more babies!

Fab news Alfiesmum, LOVE the name Oscar!! Is Oscar our biggest baby so far?

And you too Hamster, well done on the super delivery!!

Great to hear your birth story too Beks Glad to see you back!

Beartime - Good luck, seems to have gone quiet from you so maybe you've gone to hospital now!!

MaddyD, So sorry you're finding this month tough, have a wonderful honeymoon x x x

Diege · 04/11/2005 09:55

Twinkle - my due date is Nov 13th, but in my mind it's the 8th because both dds were 5 days early . Scarlett doesn't really understand much about it, but the eldest is getting very exciting, coming up to my tummy and shouting, 'don't worry, baby, we'll get you out of there!' Think the presents that baby has 'bought' might have something to do with it!
Diege.

KristinaM · 04/11/2005 10:00

LOL at your eldest Diege!!!!!

twinkle1 · 04/11/2005 10:02

Ok I am going to go shopping and have lunch out. Lets see if walking around the shops for a few hours gets this one moving, it did for Nova!!!!!!

Twinkle - I really wish I had looked more into how the car seats fitted in etc, the Jane is great and I love the lie flat car seat etc, but it doesn't appear straight forward. Mind you I suppose after a good few months of using it nearly everyday will sort that out, and I will be able to do it with my eyes closed by the end!

Diege - love the idea of your DD sending 'rescue' messages to your bubs, how funny

Lets hope Beartime has woken DH and they are well on the way to another little bundle.

See you later girls

beartime · 04/11/2005 10:26

Twinkle, yes I'm having a homebirth - but they said not to ring till 3 contractions in 10 mins. So DH and I timed it in the tub and rang when it got there. Apparently she doesn't have much hope of me being quick tho cos she has two visits to do first and won't be here for an hour and a half! Better than being put on a drip for failure to progress though

hey Kristina, I've never had this bad period pains!!!

DH is awake, don't worry, he has a flu jab at 12:30 tho' - could be interesting!

Been in bath which is why I haven't posted, but starting to look like a prune so I got out. Those positions are helping.

twinkle1 · 04/11/2005 10:30

glad its going well beartime
You can always get back in the bath later!!
just remember you can do it!! you are managing really well!!! and you will have a baby soon

Enthusia · 04/11/2005 10:36

Look forward to hearing more news on my return Beartime

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

twinkle1 · 04/11/2005 10:37

beartime · 04/11/2005 10:40

Ha Ha Enthusia!

Is there a certain distance apart of contractions when it gets near transition or anything? D'you think I can stop timing them now I have rung?

Thanks for your help Twinkle!

rodeo1 · 04/11/2005 10:41

Oooh Beartime - this is so exciting! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Enthusia - LOL! Breastfeeding in bed!

beartime · 04/11/2005 10:42

Oh, and whats the best thing to eat for lunch? I just had a muffin which was fine till I had a contraction then I wanted to puke!

beartime · 04/11/2005 10:43

It's fun sharing it - cos at least I have some support

twinkle1 · 04/11/2005 10:45

beartime,
In transistion women normally decide they cant do it ,have had enough, or want to go home etc not that im saying you will be totaly irrational
When contractions are lasting about a min and comin about every 2-3 mins things are getting on and you would want the midwife about
twinkle

KristinaM · 04/11/2005 10:46

Oh Beartime - you are doing so well, hang on in there. And tell Dh to call the clinic and cancel his 12.30 appointment - you shouldnt be left alone right now.

Oh this is great - all the excitement of labour but none of the pain and yuck!

Enjoy lunch Enthusia!

twinkle1 · 04/11/2005 10:47

errrr food, something light or lucozade/energy drink cos u will prob throw! up lots of people do at some point its normal.
twinkle

twinkle1 · 04/11/2005 10:48

twinkle

KristinaM · 04/11/2005 10:48

Oh yuck yuck yuck, lucosade is DISGUSTING twinkle!!!!!!!

beartime · 04/11/2005 10:50

I can't really want to go home can I!! That's a good guide, maybe I'll time it occasionally just to check then. Tho' the midwife is in a town half an hour away!

Should I really tell him to cancel his appointment? Wot if he gets flu!

twinkle1 · 04/11/2005 10:51

yeah but better than throwing up fish and chips or sunday lunch
they are always very messy

twinkle1 · 04/11/2005 10:52

stuff the flu injection!!! he can go another time! you must not be on your own now!!!!!!
twinkle

KristinaM · 04/11/2005 10:52

YES YES no serioulsy you needs someone with you. What if things "heat up" and you panic? You need the moral and physical support. He wont get flu today - just reschedule the appointment.

KristinaM · 04/11/2005 10:55

twinkle - you are determined to make me throw up arent you??? What with the fox post and now this!!!! Just as well I am not nauseaous this trimester. Tho have a rather tender tummy after yesterday - during the ECV the consultant told me that it might be a consolation to knwo that it was probably hurting her hands more than it was my abdomen!
