Hi Sharon,
Great birthday present huh?

I just wish it could be tomorrow. The tugging feeling on either side below is getting unbearable! I simply have NO energy whatsoever and feel I am being zapped of it all. Feeling a bit crap.

Hiya all

Had to come back from Lakeside early as started bleeding. Rang hospital and explained and mw said it could be a show, had to monitor blood and baby movements for an hour. However, blood started to die down and had choccy and baby started to move, so it looks like mw was right. So relieved. I was soooooo scared. All the courses etc, mentioned a 'tinge' of blood not full on bright red period like stuff. Getting a few clotty mucousy things now and some watery liquid but no more bright red blood, thank god. Have never been so scared in a supermarket toilet in my life.

Am now having cramps every 10 mins, not sure if anything major, but will keep you posted!!!! They don't seem too strong.

Congrats Beartime, can't wait to hear your story soon. Well done.

Hi to everyone else!!!!!

Hugs to ChaCha for feeling so low again - not long now.

LilJ - hope I don't have contest with you for largest baby on here!!!!!

Right another pain so am going

ChaCha · 08/11/2005 20:54

Hi Kristina - How are you doing? Wow..that kind of date would take me into the second week of December!!!! Not to mention baby would probably be big enough to be able to get out himself!!

Twinkle - you must be very excited now! I'd do anything to know the date.

I love this weather Twinkle, just had bedroom windows open listening to the downpour of rain and sorting through baby things...very cosy!! I love the winter nights.

Busyalexsmummy · 08/11/2005 20:55

Hi all, got woke up again early hours of this morning with yet more cramps, thought it could be the start of something but alas, by 9am they'd fizzled out

Have pretty much finished ds's room, just got to wait for the blind to arrive and the double curtain track and that can be put up and thats done! yay! moved him back in there today(much to his dismay when he saw his cot going back! lol)

Am really hoping baby doesnt make an appearnce for a few days now-or at least till sunday, as ds is poorly-(must of been part of reason why he was soooo clingy yesterday)-although, you wouldnt think it now, as hes currently tearing round the living room! hes supposed to be in bed, but his temp is really high so Ive striped him down and given him nurofen and have just got to wait for him to tire himself out, as every time I try to put him down he just shouts for me till I go in to him, ah well, hes such a good boy normally sleepwise, in bed by 7pm, so I think I can cut him a bit of slack seeing as hes ill!

The other reason I dont want baby to come till sunday or after is that its carnival time down here now(nightime ones with lights-as far as I know, the only nighttime ones in the country??) and its our carnival on saturday, which means from sat morning, till about midnight sat eve, most of the roads into the town will be closed and by about lunchtime, the town will be heaving- last year there were over 100,000 people watching carnival!! people come from miles to see it so it will be packed-worst senario-going into labour on saturday!!! that would mean either a unplanned homebirth, or a lenghty ride with the blue lights!

well, havent got much else to say, congrats to all the new arrivals, Im losing count now! like someone else said, they'll be hardly any of us left on here soon!

chacha-I think you'll be fine, dont worry too much about the size, they can get it soooo wrong, my friend was induced a 10 days early as they said baby was over 9lb, she had her fairly easily and it turned out she weighed 7lb 3oz! so how wrong did they get that!!
My ds was 8lb 13 1/2oz, so big for me+big for a first baby, but I survived! It'll be fine Im sure

urgghh I feel shattered! better go as ds is really getting irratating now, standing beside pc saying mummmmee....mummmee....mummeee...
...its going to be a longgggggg night! [bleary eyed emoticon]!

hmmm, I dont want to go overdue, it could well take me into december aswell-its got to be out by my 21st!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
twinkle1 · 08/11/2005 21:02

you will have to post an eviction notice

ChaCha · 08/11/2005 21:16

Busy - guess that explains why your DS was so clingy then...poor thing. Hope both you and him get some sleep and that all is well.
Can see why you'd like baby NOT to make appearance till after the weekend. Hopefully it will stay put a while longer.
When is your 21st by the way? I feel old, was just about to say 'I remember my 21st like it was yesterday' That was 9 years ago I am saying things that old folks say!

Haven't spent this amount of time on MN in ages. Missing the company but feeling a little better now. Just read at the week 38 page of my book that it is totally normally to feel resentful of partner/baby and everything else at this stage and just feeling like you've been PG forever.
Sigh of relief!!!

Karma - hope you're resting chuck! and not joining the post natal thread yet...and Jenjam?

Busyalexsmummy · 08/11/2005 21:29

4th of december, we are hoping to go to a local italian resturant for a nice meal and few drinks and have arranged for someone to have alex, then we'd just take the new baby with us as hopefully I will be breastfeeding so would need to keep it close at hand!

Anyone still around?

Am having contractions every 5 mins, lasting for about 1-2 mins but I seem to be coping with my TENs, just tried to go to bed, but don't think I can sleep. When should I ring the hossy, we were told when contractions are 5 mins apart lasting for 1 min, which is now, but I seem to be coping. Also only started having twinges at 5ish, so is it a bit early now at half ten, have only been having regular contractions since about 6!

Hope someone is there!!!!

KristinaM · 08/11/2005 22:39

JenJam · 08/11/2005 23:40

Hi ? this is James Jen?s partner. We had our baby boy on Monday the 7th at 10pm after two days of labour. The labour was very emotional, natural and long.

Jen and baby are fine although Jen had to have some stitches.

She will update when she is back online.

James
