Please can you guys beat some willpower into me

I've been on a milk OD for the past few days... today I pay the price!!! Annoyed with myself more than anything - I know I can't tolerate it, so why do I have it????

Other than that, odd dreams last night, but in a much better mood today. I have a bump picture that I'll post in the photo site later.

flamebat · 31/10/2005 08:05

Photos up

Bewitched · 31/10/2005 09:02

Wow flame - definitely a much bigger bump than me, despite you being a few weeks behind!

Can't beat a pregnant woman I'm afraid , but why don't you try just having 1 small glass every 3rd day to keep the cravings at bay, but hopefully keep the intake low enough not to affect you? Everything in moderation and all that!

Morning girls,

Hope everyone is well today after their aches and pains over the weekend.

TicTac - your doc sounds like mine, don't you just want to throttle them when they start using pregnancy as the problem to all your illness'! And as far as cramp goes Jasnem, I was the same with it in my leg, struggled to walk for 2 days after!

The weirdest thing happened to my tummy on sat night - it went all tight and then a spherical shape stuck out of the middle of my bump really noticably, I yelled for DH to look and he thought Alien was coming! So weird, I mean I've seen him move about inside but this was like he was seriously trying to push his way through my abdomen!

Think I'll ring the midwife today Cuffy and book my 28 week appt and see if I can book the classes.

Chloe55 · 31/10/2005 09:13

Forgot to say Flame - your bump is a very similar size to mine, I'm 25 weeks today.

flamebat · 31/10/2005 09:14

Its meant to be bigger aftre the frist baby

Ignore my typing!!!

Picture of DD in member profiles.

Morning All,

I'm feeling really fed up today, I feel so huge, uncomfortable and can hardly walk!! I'm also getting headaches now and just feel URRRRRGGGGGGGG!! I want it to be Feb now and get baby out, how can I go on for another 13.5 weeks!!!!!!! ARRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

TheOriginalTicTac · 31/10/2005 11:05

Morning all,
Hope you are all well and had a good weekend.
3K...I am sure it is just an off day and you will feel all small and lovely agian tomorrow.

I am now getting Braxton hicks (is that what they are claled) that hurt and headaches. On a plus note...my rash is clearing!

Sorry but I am on a countdown....6 weeks until I finish...can't wait, even though I know I will be bored!!

3k · 31/10/2005 11:10

I'm feeling really really down TicTac, not sure why really. I cant walk far which pees me off, now started to get really scared about how I'm going to cope with a screaming baby at 3am, and I dont feel at my best either. I'm going to find the next 13 weeks a real struggle. To be honest I'm actually feeling very depressed!

Chloe55 · 31/10/2005 11:15

Oh 3k, you sound very upset. Have you felt shit for ages or are you having an off few days of it all? I know I keep going through phases of feeling like I am just not going to cope or am not coping at all then I feel alright for a couple of days and then it all starts again. Does your dh/dp know you are feeling low at the moment? Sometimes my dh can be a bit unsympathetic but when he knows I am really stressed he always manages to make me see that everything will be alright again. I hope you feel a little but more cheery soon.

Bewitched · 31/10/2005 11:16

3K - why don't you start a separate thread about pre-natal depression. I'm sure I've read lots of posts in the past about ladies getting really down before their babies arrived, and it might help if some of them could share their stories with you.

I would have thought that it was better to try and deal with your concerns and issues now than ignore them and hope that they go away, and risk not enjoying your 3rd trimester at all, and leaving you more at risk of PND afterwards.

3k · 31/10/2005 11:20

I'm not sure why I feel this way, it came on really bad yesterday and instead of feeling all excited about the baby I have just started to think I wont cope and I've had a difficult pregnancy really what with my high BP, shakes every morning and a HUGE bump to deal with. I got up at 1.30am this morning for a pee and almost fainted. I have to have the sugar test on Friday but after waiting for years to get pregnant and going through IVF this pregnancy isnt at all what I expected. My stomach kills really low down when I walk which I still think it ligaments but I just want to get back to normal now, even walking the dog is too much!

3k · 31/10/2005 11:22

Chloe - I did tell DH I was worried how we would cope and he reasures me it will be ok but I dont think he realises what a life changing thing this is going to be.

The poor baby - I'm hoping he isnt getting all negative vibes from me at the moment. Funny how you go from feeling really broody as I did last weekend to really down in a matter of days.

iris66 · 31/10/2005 11:25

3k - just pootled across from the Jan thread & I totally sympathise with you. I've been feeling really miserable on and off for what seems like forever. I've done a search for threads on antenatal depression & there doesn't seem to be anything - are you going to start it or shall I? - think we could do with the moral support if nothing else eh!

3k · 31/10/2005 11:28

Hi Iris - that is my middle name!!!!

You start and I will follow, I've not got the hang of this website yet - only my ante-natal thread. I'm glad I'm not the only one to feel this way, midwives dont tell you about this side of things do they!

iris66 · 31/10/2005 11:32

3K - must be fate honey! Have opened a new thread under "Pregnancy" topic. See you there

teuch · 31/10/2005 12:36

morning, hope good weekend was had by all. I was off visiting my new nephew (8 days today!) who has been very ill with jaundice but is now home - wee soul!

Chloe - that sounds like my braxton hicks! At first I thought it was the baby lying awkwardly and pushing against my abdomen but as I have gotten bigger and they became really regular (I mean every hour and more regular in the evenings!) I realised what they were.

Sorry you are feeling down 3k - I get doses of it but it never lingers too long so I think it was a good suggestion to seek moral support from others and investigate A.N.D.

MW appt tomorrow - 27wks already! How did that happen? Officially 3rd trimester methinks which is good since I can't see how much more growing I can possibly do...(don't have any bump pics yet but promise to post when I do!)

hotmama1 · 31/10/2005 13:07

My bump is huge! After feeling quite smug that I didn't seem to have put on much weight, I weighed myself this morning - I have put on 2 and a half stones - and this is only week 28 - Oh well I would have to put on another 2 stones to be the weight I was when dd was born - better not tempt fate - and I did lose it all last time and another half a stone. (Note to self must stop scoffing) Wonder if this is linked to my backache?

TheOriginalTicTac · 31/10/2005 13:32

3K I agree with Bewitched, don't ignore your feelings, they really are there for a reason. I have read somewhere (not on here) that IVF pregnancies can be some of the most difficult because of the trials you have undergone to get this far. Why not call the NCT help line too. It isn't a "help me" cry it is more of an information service. I would look to see if there are any IVF support groups in your area too. Best of luck hun, we are always here for you as well!!

Do you grow much in the 3rd Trimester? I thought is was quite a rapid growth time??

I would like to not grow anymore that's for sure but I have gone from being off most food to wanting to scoff everything in sight...best start wearing blinkers I think!!

thell · 31/10/2005 13:55

Big hugs to those feeling pants. Pregnancy isn't as easy for most people as you think when you imagine yourself blooming and bare-foot, leaning out over a stable door,..

If you're interested in alternative therapies, or even just pampering yourself a bit, a while ago I bought myself some Happy Mama Spray, made by Earth Mama Angel Baby. It's a blend of essential oils that are supposed to help with nausea and ante / post - natal depression. It's quite nice if you like that sort of thing - quite gingery.

BTW - I've put some pics on the yahoo site. Need an update though - new scan pics are not scanned yet and my bump had another growth spurt yesterday! Even DH said - 'you've changed shape since lunchtime!'

flamebat · 31/10/2005 14:05

Hi, just on quick - I don't know if the prenatal depression thread has been started, but I did want to tell you all that (in my various readings) I have discovered that there is no link as far as they can tell with pre natal and post natal - two completely different types of depression, and having one doesn't mean you will have the other.

I was terrible with DD, and it sort of magically cleared up as soon as she was born (like heartburn and cravings suddenly going poof too). This time I am only low when I don't take my iron

Oooh, a good note... I got me some new jeans Gonna wear em round the house for a while with the tags on, so I can check that they don't fall down like the original ones.

thell · 31/10/2005 18:11

Where is everyone today?!

Just for ease, my photos are here

flamebat · 31/10/2005 18:59

Lovely pics (loved the wedding colours)

TheOriginalTicTac · 31/10/2005 19:24

Evening,
I can't work that photo thingy..what is the log on info?!?

Off to NCT class in a few mins but thought I would just catch up on the activity for the day...and there is none! Where have you all been? Busy Monday?
Work is like feast or famine at the minute. I have just taken on a Risk and Continuity project which is meant to be clear by the time I go on Mat leave...bloomin' nightmare. I am never fond of projects that do not have financial rewards (not for me personally but the company) they are less rewarding to work on!
Just having a grumble....sorry!

Frizbe · 31/10/2005 20:24

Hi all, hope your weekends were good, can you believe I've not been on here for a whole 3 days

Chloe lol at alien baby, I know what you mean, I got a whalloping kick of mine the other night, made me and everone else in the room jump!
