Blimey YeahBut - what a surprise!! You don't have me worried though, as my little girl wasn't sexed until 28 weeks anyway! Definitely better to find out now than at the birth though - that really would have come as a HUGE surprise!

I like several of the suggestions for a new thread title, but think we want to keep it reasonably short, so how about either
Due Feb 06 - Are you a pudding or a cracker?
or
Due Feb '06 - What's in your cracker?

Should we take a vote amongst those already suggested?

Had a lovely lunch with Morgan (Pops couldn't make it in the end) - now full to bursting, but enjoyed every mouthful!
Morgan - Chris (shop owner) solved problem of how to get car seat to car - he shut the shop for a few mins and carried it there for me - now that's good customer service! Hope all went well with m/w - was great to meet you.

Tabs · 30/11/2005 16:47

I really should try and post messages without getting distracted by work half way through. Didn't mean to summarise what you had already summarised Flame - your post wasn't there when I started!

Does someone already have a name similar to 'ChestnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFlame'?

TheOriginalTicTac · 30/11/2005 16:48

Ooo flame geese are vicious creatures...ducks are cute! We used to keep lots of animals when I was growing up...we had some ducks...lovely little birds (although very noisy if I remember!)

flamesparrow · 30/11/2005 16:51

I'll let you off

I quite like the chestnuts too... Oooh the choices. You're right about geese... a bit like the evil swans aren't they?

DH is going out for chinese tonight, he is normally a star and still sticks to my no duck eating rule even when he isn't with me (I know because he has told me on the handful of occasions that he didn't )... Shall I be festive and generous and let him eat some?

Tabs · 30/11/2005 17:15

Ooh yes let him - will earn you some brownie points, and no-one should have to miss crispy duck pancakes - yum yum!

flamesparrow · 30/11/2005 17:21

You with your duck eating!!! Tis wrong, all wrong... He has been lovely though, since we first got together, he has known that duck eating distresses me, and hasn't done it. That is 6 years now, so it must be love

I got so excited the time I met my friend (the one I had a dodgy dream about a while ago ) and people were talking about eating duck - he got all worked up saying how you can't eat ducks because they are too cute... it was like finding a soul mate . Never found anyone else who got upset by it, and especially not a man!!!

Morgan · 30/11/2005 18:55

Hi all,

Also still stuffed from big lunch with Tabs - was great to meet up!

Yeahbut - oh my goood!! hope you can come to terms with the change and stop buying pink.

Ironing sleepsuits - i don't think so although i never iron enything if i can get away with it.

I think the new thread should be "are you a pudding or a cracker" one.

Frizbe · 30/11/2005 19:04

3k Good for you leave at Xmas girl! your boss doesn't deserve you anyway!, sorry to hear about your bp going up again....fingers x'd it doesn't get any worse.

Yeahbut! OMG at least you know correctly now! well if you want to sell your pink things your definately on the right thread!

Hi to all, not stopping, as waiting for babysitter to pop over, dh is taking me out

Frizbe · 30/11/2005 19:11

PS: Voting for whats in your cracker!

flamesparrow · 30/11/2005 19:51

I'm a whats in your cracker girlie too

ixel · 30/11/2005 20:18

God. It is getting close, isn't it??!!
Had a wobbly at dh last night because I cant do any more sorting out until the spare room is a bit clear, which wont happen till he's finished renovating the bathroom (so we can put the cabinet up and all the stuff in it)!

But, we've solved the 'what to do with ds' dilemma I'd decided to go down the doula route, freeing dh up to stay with ds. I mentioned this to my friend today, and she volunteered to be my birthing partner!! I hadn't asked because I never dreamt that she'd want to do it. But she's perfect; its easy for her to get a babysitter for her ds, and she's really assertive, so if I end up with a crap midwife again, I know she'll def fight my corner for me!!! In fact, the only down side is that she'll see how much celllulite I've got . Its a huge weight off my mind now that I've got an action plan!

ds had his first big excursion with no buggy today (6hrs in central London... the Eye and Tussauds). He did really well for a boy with no nap, but I'm knackered!! Good job we met Daddy at work to carry him home on the tube!!

TheOriginalTicTac · 30/11/2005 22:08

Pushchair arrived today (won it on ebay for £120 less than shop price) and while I was anticipating it not being brand new as advertised etc I am very happy. All brand new!! I think that was the last of the large purchases...

FlameRobin · 01/12/2005 08:27

The whole 5 of us that voted for thread titles... Due Feb 06 - What's in your cracker? seems to be the winner (3 - 2).

DH chose FlameRobin for me in the end.

Long night here, and off out today, will talk later.

Lookin longingly to Tabs to start new thread

Tabs · 01/12/2005 08:58

I wanted the pudding v cracker one, which would even it up, but have selflessly gone for the otherwise majority! .

Here it is ladies.
