I tried to book into an antenatal yoga class but my nearest was Harrogate and they had a long waiting list. I joined my general yoga class at my gym but I didn't really rate the instructor as she just had me doing a few leg stretches when people were on their tummys working their backs, and I did really ache just after too. Oh I don't know, I feel quite silly for commenting about the whole thing really because people are going through much worse than me at the moment and I have had a reasonably easy ride of my pregnancy really.

3K did they get to the bottom of your rash in the end then or is it all blood related?

Oh and Teuch - yeah, hurts doesn't it!

Bewitched · 26/10/2005 12:50

There's nothing wrong with moaning Chloe - you're just as entitled as the next person. You should all think yourselves lucky that I've had an easy ride so far, as I can't half moan otherwise!!

Just in case it's any use, I'm giving you a link to a list of Yorkshire yoga teachers. My Yorkshire geography is hopeless, so no idea if any of these are close enough to you to be worth a call to see if they do antenatal or not. Yorkshire yoga contacts

Ah bless you tabs, thanks - I'll have a flick through - I might even opt for private classes if I can't find a public one.

popadopalis · 26/10/2005 13:25

Hey girls! I'm feeling much better today. I've actually tidied and hoovered my lounge which I'm sure will shock Dh when he comes home!! I haven't been able to do anything much for months. I may even clean my cooker as Dh can cook wonderfully but unfortunately doesn't seem to clean the cooker afterwards!! Mind you I shouldn't complain really as he has been doing everything recently and still has to go to work and study as well.

Bewitched - I have CAT-ed you my email address so hopefully we can start planning soon.

Chloe - Lots of sympathy to you. There's nothing worse than being stuck at work feeling crappy. If you need to go home, and I think you do, just go. Don't suffer when you need to rest. Is there not someone else you can talk to rather than your own doctor? Someone that might be a bit more understanding. Thankfully my doctor has been great but there have been other people who have said things like, "Come back to me when you've had your fourth" and I have had to restrain myself from beating them to death with the nearest available object.

Hello everyone else!

3k · 26/10/2005 13:48

Chloe - my rash is just pregnancy related, he wasnt concerned about it really more about my BP but he has given me some cream to use. I have been telling my midwife for weeks about feeling exhausted, shakey and light headed and I was fobbed off with the normal "it's all to be expected, you are pregnant" crap they come out with. I was actually surprised my doctor checked me over yesterday and I didnt even moan, he just said I looked very pale and got the BP monitor out.

Another thing is that the MW said on Monday my blood tests were fine - well obviously not as my white cells were high and that had come up on my general blood count. With this, her comments about my stretchies and not listening to me when I feel unwell I have lost faith in her.

Also I tried to get an appointment for my glucose test this morning (doc marked as urgent) and I cant get in until the 12th Dec! Going to wait till I see him again on Friday for another BP check up and see if he can book me in.

Bewitched · 26/10/2005 13:55

12th December - that's crap! If you do have GD then you need to get it under control before then!

Perhaps you could talk to your doc about getting a diff midwife. I think that I'm right in saying that you are entitled to see a different one if you're not happy with the current one.

3k · 26/10/2005 14:06

I may do that Tabs especially if something is wrong. I am a bit worried about pre-eclampsia now, been reading on thet net and my BP was 146/98 yesterday which is high for me. when I first got pregnant it was 110/70!! I also started getting swollen feet in the evenings, but not too worried about this just the blood pressure. They can control it with medication though if need be until they deliver.

Chloe - keep on insisting something is wrong if you still dont feel well in a day or so, I've had this for weeks now and finally someone is listening to me. Probably because I look so crappy though!!! hehehe

Chloe55 · 26/10/2005 14:34

You should see me - I look like shit!

3k · 26/10/2005 14:41

Makes two of us then!! I have these black marks under me eyes and really pale skin - oh and spots have now started appearing. Last week I had a boil type on my arse! It was well painful!!!!!

Chloe55 · 26/10/2005 14:47

Hee hee, I haven't got boils......yet! But I'll join you with the black circles and spots!

3k · 26/10/2005 14:54

I reckon it's because we are carrying boys, they always cause more trouble dont they bless them!!!

Jaysfirst · 26/10/2005 14:58

Hi all just popping in from December thread. I have created a site where mumsnet users can post pics of themselves or babies. Its dead easy to use just follow the links and info below. Please feel free to pass on the details to other users.

Hope you are all well!

Jaysfirst xx

When you log in mumsnetpics is the main folder, i have created four sub folders :
Due in November 20o5
Due in Decmeber 2005
Due in January 2006
Due in Febuary 2006

More sub folders maybe added for further months.
SOOOOO get posting those pics up....oh and keep them clean!

Bewitched · 26/10/2005 16:40

Well how appropriate that Jay should suggest putting our pictures online when you two have just painted such pretty pictures of yourselves!!

Not sure that I want my pic published for all to see, but I'm like a lemming, so if the rest of you do it then I will too!

Jay - that's quite an impressive bump you had at 25 weeks. 3k - it's your sort of size if you haven't looked.

OP posts:
Chloe55 · 26/10/2005 16:42

At the moment I'd scare you all!

Jaysfirst · 26/10/2005 17:27

i know bewitched, i grew quite sudenly but dont seem to have had much of a spurt in the past few weeks....i did start to get a bit worried for a time!
There are some pics up there now from others from December and one i think from November, cmon girls dont be shy!!

Frizbe · 26/10/2005 18:08

Hmmm I'll stay shy for now anyway

Teuch did anyone mention to you that once you've had your baby after 4 weeks on your knees, changing etc you'll start to develop callouses on your knees which will stay for at least the next two years!

Flame hope you enjoy the party

Dd is not well here, has gone to bed at 17:30 really hoping she's better for tomorrow/the weekend as its her birthday party! another sleepless night for me....

Chole, keep on at them, can't believe how crap they appear to be being, when I vaguely mentioned my other leg trapping a nerve to the midwife last week, I had to disuade her from booking me in for physio, as its not that bad at the mo! (glad to have an eager mw tho! in fact she's downright lovely, wonder if its to do with her being a part time one?)

3K Utter crap re your glucose test, I'd ring the surgery back today, go gettem girl

flamebat · 26/10/2005 18:56

I've added two pics - not bump yet, but thought I'd let you know what me n Buzzy B look like.

Frizbe · 26/10/2005 19:31

Hey flame good pics!

Jaysfirst · 26/10/2005 21:32

Photobucket has become a bit of a success but a few people have concerns about posting on a site, so i have set up a yahoo group ( more secure) if anyone wishes to join then please do so.

health.groups.yahoo.com/group/mumsnetpix/

I will delete the other account tomorrow, just leave it up long enough for others to know the situation! Any questions shout me!

womba1 · 26/10/2005 22:26

Evening All! It's my birthday today... and i've had a wonderful day!! My dh was on a course all day so i spent the day with my grandma and ds, and she's spoilt us rotten!
I've drunk far too many cups of tea so keep weeing , eaten far too many slices of cake and keep tying on all the lovely clothes i've bought with my birthday money.
I wouldn't mind turning 31 every day!

As for my bump, we're growing very nicely thank you! She's a flighty little peanut and has an active couple of hours at around 7pm most evenings. My ds thinks it's hysterical to poke her and then when she pokes back, he kisses my tummy where she moves... bless him. Somehow don't think he'll be quite so loving with her when she's here in the flesh!

I'll be 25 weeks on Friday and have several more scans booked in, at 28 weeks, 32 and 36 weeks. My consultant is being cautious because my first pregnancy resulted in the stillbirth of my son james at 30 weeks. But i didn't have any of this with my last pregnancy and everything was fine. I'm not sure how i feel about all this extra monitoring to be honest... it's making me kind of nervous, but i can understand why they feel the need to do it. I'm just fed up with all the prodding, poking, blood taking and the multitude of questions they ask! If they read my notes, the answers are all there!! And after explaining to one consultant about my stillbirth, i really begrudge having to cover the same ground with several others! Sorry, this has turned into a whinge and that wasn't my intention!

Anyway, hope you're all enjoying your bumps and not finding the kicks too uncomfortable... still feels very alien to me! Take care and chat soon, Womba xxx

Bewitched · 26/10/2005 23:13

Just a quickie for now to say Happy Birthday Womba! Glad you've enjoyed your day .

Chloe55 · 27/10/2005 09:21

Morning girls,

Well I'm feeling a little brighter this morning. DH bought me a little pressie last night and my colleague (the one I cried on) scanned the net yesterday when she got home and rang me to tell me about some wonderful heat pads that you stick to your nightclothes and wear to bed - fantastic! I also gave in and took the anti-inflammatories & painkillers that I was prescribed, although reluctantly because I hate taking pills at the best of times. Anyway, I still had very broken sleep but at least when I moved in bed I wasn't in searing pain so that's a start.

Happy birthday for yesterday Womba.

I'm having some very vivid dreams at the moment.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok today.

flamebat · 27/10/2005 09:56

I'm glad you're feeling a bit brighter today Chloe - I dosed myself up last night too, might have to investigate your heat pads.

I'll go check out the new photo site now... If you're all really lucky, I'll actually remember to get DH to photo bump tonight.

xxxx
