Hey all

Chloe glad all is well, phew!
Lol at Flame, but as suggested a bag just in case might be an idea!
Hi again poppy h, see you on here a bit more now then
Well dd has just nodded off on the sofa, we're getting very bored waiting in for a delivery....trying to get upto meadowhell to do some Xmas Shopping, but at this rate who knows (good job they're open till 10pm!)

janiewoo · 24/11/2005 13:35

Tabs, heres my stats for you
Janiewoo, Due 25th Feb, Baby *1, Age 36, had ectopic last Oct, Lives Hastings, Homebirth.

Chloe55 · 24/11/2005 13:46

Welcome to the thread Janiewoo!

I want to go shopping! Instead I am stuck in this hell hole they call work

Oh and shockingly I am bored again, I tell you I do feel sorry for my replacement she will be sooo bored, oh well 4 weeks left to go woohoo!!

Morgan · 24/11/2005 15:31

Afternoon all,

Glad to hear you are ok Chloe. Most hospitals do a tour every week or two - doesn't yours?

Talking of shopping I went to Matalan with ds this am and as soon as i got there i really needed a pee and they have no loo so we had to rush round really but i did manage to get three jumpers as pressies(how boring!but am lacking in inspiration) and a Clangers dvd for £3.99 which ds likes - i am always trying to get him to watch old programmes i bought Trumpton but he didn't like it - he is getting Mr Benn for Xmas!

flamesparrow · 24/11/2005 15:35

I managed to convince DD to have a sleep, so I got one too... feel worse than when I fell asleep though!!! Stupid cold. All the vitamin C I've been getting from the fruit was meant to ward off colds!!!

My plan re bag is to have everything to hand on the side in our bedroom - I'm thinking that I'll want everything handy anyway, so I'm not rummaging through drawers trying to find what I want in the first few days after the birth. If anything does happen, then Boy can just chuck it all in a bag.

I really need to get on top of the house more - tis always a state... think I'm going to tell DH that Saturday mornings are going to be dedicated to cleaning/tidying - he can have some rooms, and I'll have some others... if we do it for just a couple of hours each week, then hopefully it will stay up together, and any surprise arrivals will be ok!!! If I were to go into labour now, I dread to think of coming home to this!!!

How come some women can do the whole housewife thing??? I manage the mummy thing, but housewife completely passed me by

Chloe55 · 24/11/2005 15:39

I share out rooms with my DH too FS, we tend to do th tidying on sat mornng, only takes an hour or so - I do bedroom, living room and bathroom, he does spare room (all his junk anyway) and kitchen - it works well and I have stopped being a miserable old housewife every week coz I don't feel the need to have a go at him all the time now. In fact he has become a bit clean obsessed and now I get shouted at

poppyh · 24/11/2005 15:40

Am same Flame.Am crap where housework is concerned!!Been looking at my dirty floor for about 3 days now, but still havent found the energy to actually clean it!
Been thinking about cooking xmas dinner for eight people. Why did I say I would?!!!

ChaCha · 24/11/2005 16:05

Chloe, Thanks for posting. So glad to hear all is okay. You take care of yourself and will endeavour to check in on you.
Fingers crossed for me pls. 2 days to go!! x

JuA · 24/11/2005 17:20

Chloe - glad you and your bump are OK

Flame - you still will need to get all the stuff - even if you don't have to put it in a bag Do you need extra stuff if you are having a home birth?

The babies room is nearly cleared out now - I just need to build the chest of drawers and fill it up and put up the wall stickers that we bought. The cot is built still and that just needs moving into our bedroom.

Christmas shopping is nearly all done - just a few bits to get for dh - but will get that online. I am just to big too walk any distance at all now and can't face the thought of crowds of people banging into me.

Came home from work all upset cos dd was bitten at nursery - she has a huge bruise on her arm - it looks really sore but she is not in the least bit bothered but it made me want to cry - I think it must be the pregnancy hormones.

Chloe55 · 25/11/2005 08:50

Morning girls,

Pah - no snow for me so have had to venture into work!

JuA your poor DD, at least she has not been upset over the incident but understandably you are - have you mentioned it to the nursery teacher or is it just a one off incident?

How excited am I? 3d/4d scan tomorrow - woohoo!!!!!

Morgan · 25/11/2005 08:58

Morning all,

I hadn't snowed here either (north herts) in fact it is quite nice and sunny although perishing cold.

Off to mil's shortly to talk to dh via the computer and webcam so he can see ds.There is abit of a time delay but it seems to work ok - i am jealous of dh it is 30 degrees out there now.

Tabs · 25/11/2005 08:59

Ooh Chloe - do enjoy that tomorrow.

Well I think I had my first bit of something leaking out of my right nipple last night! Only a tiny bit, and it's stopped now, but it was like a clear liquid - is that right? Guess it won't be long before they start doing it properly then - must get some breast pads in time!

Tabs · 25/11/2005 09:00

Morgan - pah to 30 degrees! We'd only be complaining it was too hot then!

flamesparrow · 25/11/2005 09:04

Snotty and feeling sorry for myself

Yay for scan tomorrow Chloe!

What is it with all you boobie leakin women??? Mine are gunky, but nothing else, and did nothing else with DD either...

Helen38 · 25/11/2005 09:23

Mine have never leaked before had baby either flame..... do it lots after tho!
Got sad grumpy ds2 at home with sore arm, temp and general grottyness since preschool booster jabs on wed he is stood on sofa looking out of the window waiting for the snow and watching blues clues, keep trying to explain that it might not snow but he wants some. Will be sad if it doesn't, which it won't cos we never get any

teuch · 25/11/2005 11:19

well it is bloddy snowing here...on MY DAY OFF TOO!!! And I was meant to be going into town to meet friends... mwah!!

Did i post update on MW appt earlier in week? I don't see anything...

Anyway, naughty baby is still sitting with bum towards left hip and head/shoulders jammed up into my ribs...she reckons that is what has been making me so nauseous again lately. All else fine and I start classes on Monday.

There seems to be a lot of stressful hormones bouncing around at the moment so hugs to all. I think it is great to be able to get on here and get some support/advice before it spirals.

flamesparrow · 25/11/2005 11:21

DON'T complain about snow... some of us sobbing here wanting snow (well not quite, but with hormones its not unlikely )

teuch · 25/11/2005 11:25

t'is very pretty...

Helen38 · 25/11/2005 11:37

Not fair, want snow
Got small boy saying where's the snow mummy?

TheOriginalTicTac · 25/11/2005 11:48

Hi All,

Tabs - I had clear stuff (tiny) from boobs after I was dry from a bath. Has happend once or twice again but still no need for the oodles of breast pads I have in preparation

Chloe - Can you post a piccie of scan? Very exciting!!

I have just had a call from the midwife consultant (the one I met the other night who was a super star!) Well she was getting the results from my GTT and also my full bloods. She stuck to her word and called this morning!

Bloods - I am a very healthy lady with no iron issues and excellent levels all round. {grin]

GTT - The first test is normal to be 6.8 or less and I got a result of 4.5 which is "excellent" and my second test came back as clear so I do not have any GT issues....

Huge smiles from me...you know how bothered I was!!

Jasnem · 25/11/2005 12:15

Afternoon,

Tabs - I've never had leaky breasts, and even after baby only had leaking when actually feeding on one side IYKWIM. That stopped after a few weeks but still fed both of mine for 8 months, so leaking not necessarily related to ability to bf.

Chloe - glad all is well with you. I'd love to see 3d pics too. Hope it goes well.

Tic Tac - good news for you. One less thing to worry about.

I am hope with DD1 who got up this morning with terrible cough, and is now waiting for me to move so she can play on the cbeebies web site.

Long chat with DP last night about rearranging house to accomodate another person. Finally hes being a bit more realistic and agreeing to move computer games out of bedroom after Christmas.

Have just ordered dolls prams for both DDs for Christmas - they will probably take up more space than real one, but both have renewed interest in dolls, and its what they want. Can't think of anything else to get them...

Chloe55 · 25/11/2005 12:16

Of course will post a scan - will have to be monday though and I will tell you all about my party that my friends have so kindly organised for me - they are superstars.

Poo to your snow Teuch! I want blizzards galore on sunday following onto Monday morning to keep me away from work

Wahey to all your results TicTac, that must mean no more needles for you then for a while.

TheOriginalTicTac · 25/11/2005 13:17

It sure should do!

3k · 25/11/2005 16:44

Hi all,

My day off today but have been rushing around like a lunatic all day. Popped into town this morning and had to get measured for another bra at Mothercare as the ones I bought about 10 weeks ago are now too tight and uncomfortable. Have gone up ANOTHER cup size but only bought one bra - will have to wash and wash it as I cant see the point buying more for 10 weeks - the other ones are not too bad just dig in by end of day. Also popped to Boots and got my changing bag etc.

Got to see doc at 5pm re blood pressure issues. Not sure if he will want to keep me on medication after it coming down so low so we will see. Other than this I am knackered and ready for a sleep.

We have had a few snow showers in Kent but nothing major.

Tabs- as you know I have been leaking from boobs for months now, got through quite a few breast pads. Mine start off leaking clear liquid then it goes more milky.

Just had a mars bar and now baby kicking loads, he's been quiet all day, seems to be having quiet days more and more now - think I have a lazy baby!!

ixel · 25/11/2005 17:43

Jealous, jealous, 3k... no more chest expansion here since the first trimester! Was hoping for a huge cleavage again

No snow here, but its so cold I'm going to hibernate! Luckily ds was rescued from day of indoor boredom today by the offer of a lift to playgroup! I just couldn't have faced a 10 min walk to the bus stop and then god knows how long waiting in the freezing cold for a random bus to turn up.
It was snowing at my Mums last night; she said they were predicted 10 inches by the morning. I said that was alot, and she said 'or maybe it was 10cm?'

Anyone know if its cold in the Isle of Wight? Supposed to be going on Sunday, back on Monday, but starting to regret the decision now.

Helen38... my Southam friend said she's like to meet up, but after xmas is def a good idea, as she's still at the paranoid stage, despite being about 16 or 17 weeks now. She doesn't want to make too many new friends incase it jinxes the pregnancy. But she's just been moved from medium risk to low risk category, so things are pretty good.
