cuffy - I don't think I've had BH at all before. This is my 3rd preg, so they are not compulsory.

Welcome janiewoo and poppyh

Primark is going to sell out of big nighties at this rate! I'd better get shopping - My new card arrived today so I can, now.

flamesparrow · 23/11/2005 19:25

Hiya PoppyH!

Sudden thought dawned on dopey me today... There is a remarkably good reason why I'm not worrying about bag (even if I hadn't realised it ) - I won't be needing one for a homebirth will I??

Feel a bit thick now.

Any news from Chloe?

Jasnem · 23/11/2005 20:00

lol flame

Tabs · 23/11/2005 20:25

lol flame - you dippy mare !

Another busy day for me, so haven't had time to post again. Off out to pub quiz shortly so thought I'd just check in for a quick hello.

Welcome to janiewoo, and welcome back to poppyh. Janie - do you want to give me some stats and I'll add you on to the list? Check out the first post on this thread if you don't know what I'm after.
Your doc sounds very responsive sending you for physio straight away. My midwife said last week that she thinks I've got SPD (though I'd say only a very mild case), so I just told my yoga instructor, and there were a couple of positions that she told me to miss out this week, but otherwise it was ok to carry on. Important to stop before it hurts though!

cuffyj1 - no BH for me either, so you're def not alone.

Chloe - hope all is well and you were given a clean bill of health after your check up today.

poppyh · 24/11/2005 08:09

Lol Flame!!
Hope all is well with everyone today.

flamesparrow · 24/11/2005 08:13

Chloe - worrying now

Helen38 · 24/11/2005 08:15

Morning all,

Hope all are well today, out this morning will check in when get home, might have to worry about chloe if she hasn't posted when I get back, it's what i do good at worrying, drives dh mad. Does anyone know if she ok?

Helen38 · 24/11/2005 08:17

Glad is not just me, i lied, already worried.

flamesparrow · 24/11/2005 08:24

We really need some sort of round robin thing... everyone has one other person's phone number, and then if something happens, we contact them and they let the others know, or if someone is missing, the person with the right number can hassle em with texts and phone calls til they reply

Tabs · 24/11/2005 08:38

Chloe doesn't have the internet at home does she, so we'd prob have to wait until she gets to work today.

TicTac - you have her mobile no don't you?
Flame - that's a good idea to make sure that everyone's number is held by someone else. TicTac and I have each other's already, and I imagine that Morgan and Popadopolis and I will all swap numbers shortly as we're hoping to meet up next week.

I could always collate them all in the stats file, but not publish them obviously!

flamesparrow · 24/11/2005 08:41

You just wanna rub in about your meeting up don't ya?

Where are you meeting anyway? I doubt that I can find a decent reason to travel, but its worth a try

I was thinking that about Chloe and work too - she could just be off because she feels rough, or because something is wrong, and we will all worry lots!! TicTac if you do have her number PLEASE hassle her for me

Chloe55 · 24/11/2005 08:51

Ah bless you all!! I'm here!! And baby is still in tummy .

3K was right, I do have a urinary infection apparantly and just a very large dose of BH at the moment. When I got to the labour ward they hooked me up onto the fetal heart monitor and also a monitor to record the contractions which seemed to come every 15mins like clockwork. MW wasn't too worried though and the little one is VERY active, his little heartbeat was all over the place because he was so giddy at the hospital for some reason. Anyway, I had an internal and she said my cervix is still closed but she has took some swabs to rule out any other infections. Oh and I am cross with my doc, apparantly I shouldn't be taking the anti-inflammatories he had prescribed so have to stop them immediately as they can affect the baby's heart or something! I knew I didn't want to take them so I may as well get used to the idea that my back is gonna flare up again.

Huge hugs for all your kindness by the way, lovely to know people are thinking about you that don't even know you! Oh and yes, I only have the internet at home and yes, I'd be happy to let someone have my mobile no.

Tabs · 24/11/2005 08:56

Yay for baby still being in tummy! Chloe - what will happen when you go on maternity leave - you will find a way to still post won't you??

Chloe55 · 24/11/2005 09:06

I know Tabs, I'm worried about how I am gonna keep in touch. I have asked DH though and he said we can get the internet hooked up at home (we don't have a landline at the mo though) but cash is a bit tight at the mo and I'm worried we might not be able to afford it . I think I might trade my mobile contract for a cheaper one for both of us though and then the difference can be spent on the internet!

Tabs · 24/11/2005 09:18

OK ladies - thread here to sort out a December meet up in Herts - open to all, though obviously anticipate mainly just the local crowd. Please post your availability on that thread asap!

Tabs · 24/11/2005 09:19

Chloe - internet connection should be considered an essential - rather like food! Tell DH he can live on beans on toast for 1 week each month if necessary to pay for it!

3k · 24/11/2005 09:26

Hi All,

Glad you are ok Chloe, was thinking of you last night. Did you get some anti-biotics at the hospital?

Think baby has his foot in my ribs - it's very uncomfortable!!! Hope he moves soon. Oh and I now feel like I have been kicked underneath, is that the start of SPD or just loosening up for birth?

Chloe55 · 24/11/2005 09:33

She hasn't prescribed the abs yet because she is sending the sample off to the lab. I had loads of protein in my urine so she is presuming I have an infection, I have to wait 48 hours to def find out though.

Don't worry, I will get internet connection and if worse comes to worse I'll bob up to my mums every other day and use hers!

Jasnem · 24/11/2005 09:34

morning all - good to hear youare ok. I was fairly worried too.

going to be busy today, so will try to check in later . Take care all.

Chloe55 · 24/11/2005 09:43

FS - do you not reckon you should maybe pack a hospital bag just in case for any reason you might need to go into hospital last minute? I hate to be the pessimist but it would be a stressful time anyway and what if you have to leave it up to DH to pack for you - if he is anything like mine you might be lucky to end up with a pair of knickers and a nappy.

TheOriginalTicTac · 24/11/2005 09:55

Morning All,
Sorry, I struggled to get online yesterday so missed all of the "where's Chloe" posts until just now...when Chloe is clearly fit and well and still growing her little boy

Chloe - I am not in the office today (going Christmas shopping with my sister) so I will send you an email tomorrow and we can exchange numbers if you like. Since we chat via email anyway...
Glad all is well with you and did you borrow my 12 year old doctor to prescribe you meds??

The midwife consultant came round to the house yesterday to get the lowdown on why I am thinking about changing hospitals etc...she was super! Very hands on 1:1 care she is even going to take me around the delivery suite and mat wards on a 1:1 on the 5th Decemebr so I can get a really good feel for it rather then an organised tour where 5 - 10 of you all go round at once! I am a happy bunny now!

I still have that chest infection although not nearly as bad...do think it is worth going back to the docs or should I just get on with it? I am just ignoring it at the minute!

Chloe55 · 24/11/2005 10:19

You seem to have had that infection for ages TicTac, maybe they need to change your antibiotics or something - it won't be fun to have it all over xmas and NY and especially not fun when you go into labour so yes get back to the doctor. I don't think I had your 12 year old doc unless he was desguised as a 60 year old man who basically spent all consultation telling me that his wife had twins so I should think myself lucky that I am not in as much pain as she was and then he starts snorting at his own jokes, funny man.

I asked about the birthing/ante-natal classes again at the hospital yesterday as I still hadn't heard back from someone giving me an appointment to start them. None of the classes were being held at the hospital so I don't think I will get the opportunity to look round the labour ward (other than yesterday when I was in a pokey horrible little room). Apparantly they have a home from home delivery suite and I believe a birthing pool too but considering I won't see the hospital now until I give birth I have no idea if I can use any of them!

flamesparrow · 24/11/2005 11:51

Logged on at friends, so only here quick - was just checking for Chloe update!! Sooo relieved to see you're ok.

Yes, I will put a pile of bits to one side ready for any emergencies (being stubborn and refusing to put it in a bag though )

Helen38 · 24/11/2005 12:29

Jusy checking on chloe, glad all is ok and baby staying where it is for now.
