Am really appreciating all the great advice and support :) Drom, is good to hear about your experience; sounds pretty positive all in all (and BFing can be difficult to establish for a while when you've laid vb anyway, so don't beat yourself up). Caspy, I remember your nasty SPD and other probs and that laying wasn't fun for you. I just have a horrible feeling that the consultant is going to want to press forward with a vb no matter what I say - I'm flip-flopping between being confident they'll listen to me and scared that they'll ignore me Confused

I don't see any hierarchy of experience between cs and vb - the important thing is the baby getting out safe and sound, not how the baby gets out, imho. I'm v squeamish about anything to do with me foof (get upset before smears!) and have some experience with recovering from tum ops after last year's lap - although I know that that was nuffink compared to a cs - so am feeling less and less scared. My only worry, like I said y'day, is my allergies to most analgesia and not being able to get enough pain relief when I'm recovering at home.

Truff, that outfit is ACE! And you enjoy that burger - in the early days, you often fancy only 1 or 2 things but then you move onto wanting summat else and those original things then repulse you. Is v odd!

Who wants a 20% off voucher code for Green Baby? YOU lot do, that's who: SPRING20 Don't say I don't spoil you r day! Grin

Ocarina · 06/04/2011 21:40

How is one supposed to do yoga without farting? I'm not convinced it's possible except by fluke. I have however decided I like yoga and am now annoyed that work/being away's likely going to stop me doing very much of it :( I'm definitely not very flexible though.

Scorpette · 06/04/2011 21:45

Damn, meant to thank Occers for the great idea about writing and brainstorming. Mind a bit uninspired for writing currently but I think it's defo the way forward for feeling productive :) You're a star, cheers!

PS Code active until 30th April.

macaroonmum · 07/04/2011 07:53

ohhh ta Scorps! I love a bit of a discount.

Truffs how did the burger go down? Wink

Can I just say I love the ESH. I love that everyone has their own experiences and thoughts about giving birth and feeding and everything and no one ever gets their judgypants on. It's all so grown up and NORMAL (in a good way) Wink I think it's the only place in any of the websites where there's no crap to deal with.

Meds hope you all had a good night x

laurielou · 07/04/2011 08:38

Ah Meds your updates have me crying & grinning like a fool Grin. EA sounds like she's going from strength to strength & I firmly believe a lot of that is down to you & MrM. Of course the medical types have played their part too - & you sound like you have struck gold with the team there. And it sounds like you'll be home, in pj's & snuffling very soon. In sincerely hope so anyway.

Muse you sound very comfortable with the BF thing, thanks for that, its encouraging to hear. Though I know Alps was very comfortable FF. I just wish there was a right & wrong answer then I wouldn't have to make my own decision Grin. I struggle enough deciding what to wear at the moment.

Painful tummy goings on last night, but I sleep so, so heavily that I wasn't fully awake to analyse it. But in my sleep haze it honestly felt like I had a foot about to come out of my belly button. Of course, when I fell back to sleep, this is what I dreamt of & MW had to push foot back & put a Mr Bump plaster on belly button to stop foot coming back out again.

Rocket I'm glad your back is feeling better. My docs, chiro - everyone I've ever seen re my back - advice has always been I need to keep moving. If I rest it ceases up. That's a bit of a nightmare as lazing is a hobby.

Felt a bit Sad last night as I made the decision to now give up playing squash until after I've laid. I never played to Olympic standard, & certainly while diffed unless the ball landed at my feet I didn't hit it back. But I feel its another little part of my "old" life gone. How ridonkulous is that? I'll be back in a number of weeks. I've felt tired & more cumbersome this week, & basically gave into the bullying gently persuasion from Mr Loz, mum & sister to stop for a while. So now I really do need to get walking / swimming / bouncing on my ball - I can't just do nothing. Or can I ............... Grin

Its another beautiful day here, so am going to leave work early doors. Though I'll prolly close curtains & curl up on the bed for the afternoon.

Hope everyone else has a good day - here's some gin & danishes to help, x

Ivegotmrbitey · 07/04/2011 09:16

Good morning all, wonderful news medee and the poonami sounds spectacular Here's to going home soon, snuffles on the sofa and to the fantastic care you've had.

scorps has anyone mentioned today you are top of the list? Wink

Fabby odd dream loz, love the Mr Bump plaster!

How did the burger go truff? I made a terrible bri wedges error on boxing day having fancied them above all else and the vommed for the rest of the day. Hope you had a better time with your burger Smile

Chinese burns all round to take minds off SPD

Ivegotmrbitey · 07/04/2011 09:20

PS LOVE this score but will it make biteybach look like a nacho libre wrestler?

LadyGoneGaga · 07/04/2011 09:45

Aw, that's lovely for when really hot in summer, Bitey!

T'is sunny again. Why, oh why, am I stuck in work?

Truffkin · 07/04/2011 10:02

So I think the less said about the burger episode, the better! I am off the the docs later to pleased for anti-emetics as am struggling with 2 hours of commuting each day, as I stand for a lot of it and am feeling a bit dizzy at times. I did however make the most exciting discovery that I can keep down fruit ice lollies (nothing ice creamy - bleurgh) and the Del Monte ones count as one of my 5 a day, so at least I can have a single portion if nothing else!

I am not in work today, well doing a bit from home but I was due to be at a Chamber of Commerce conference this afternoon (with evening drinks reception) but could not face it. Instead I have done the important bits I needed to and am going to fetch a couple of essentials we need from Boots, go to the doctors and then sleep (or laze whilst catching up on iplayer shizzle) for the rest of the afternoon. I'm also very tempted to get me a pedicure and there are several places within a 10 minute walk, so will see how my motivation holds out.

Sorry for peeps who are not able to enjoy the sunshine, hope you can get out for a bit at lunch time and top up your vitamin D stores. Luckily it looks like it's here to say for the weekend so no need to miss out. We're off to a BBQ on Saturday too, am hoping I has the drucks by then so I don't arouse suspicion. (The Lent excuse is still holding strong for no booze)

How are things today Meds? Looking forward to another exciting update and still sending ESH love to you all

owlbooty · 07/04/2011 10:11

Meds am beaming at your good news - she's a little star and I shall get the pompoms ready for when she gets the go-ahead to escape home :)

Bites I insist you purchase that, draw a handlebar moustache on Biteybach and put some weights next to him. He will look like a tiny little strongman from a Victorian circus.

Occy there is no way to do yoga without farting. Sorry.

rocketleaf · 07/04/2011 10:13

bitey why would you want your child to NOT look like a Mexican wrester? Failing that, a nice curly mustache would make them look very like something out of an old silent movie. I am loving that lots of other ESH have invested in the bright M&S vests so we can have competitions on who can create the best 90's raver/superhero outfit. :o

lorra you have bad me want to puke with your belly button dream. That is my one fear, I really can't stand them, cant touch other peoples and can't have mine touched. It has been my biggest pregnancy fear that my belly button would split open pop out. Luckily it hasnt (yet) I have been trying to get used to them as am going to prob have to clean Sprouts at some point but have told TB he is dealing with the stump. I am fine with shitty nappies, puke anything but belly buttons. Envy

truff how did the burger go down? More importantly did it stay down? Wink

rocketleaf · 07/04/2011 10:17

sorry x-post, truffs bad luck on the pukiness :( Hope you get some good rrrugs and they kick in for the weekends festivities.

booty great minds. our poor children.

gaga its pissing it down here despite sunny forecast. does that make you feel better? :o

Ivegotmrbitey · 07/04/2011 10:21

Oooh truff tesco do rocket lollys which are lush. Can't believe I forgot about those - I ate three a day for the twelve weeks. Actually I eat one most evenings if I am thirsty at bed time in the hope it won't result in a 3am wee. And watery fruit was good too, I have eaten so many strawberries I am convinced that biteybach will have a strawberry birthmark! Hope the docs can give you some good drucks too, that commute must be horrible with the tiredness as well as the vomming.

Mine just stopped one morning, I leapt out of bed feeling super human because I felt normal again. Fantastic feeling! You will feel better bless you!

Ivegotmrbitey · 07/04/2011 10:23

Grin at boots and sprocket I am going to order that outfit right now!

laurielou · 07/04/2011 10:26

Rocket I'm sorry to make you all vommy with belly button tales. So far mine isn't an outy yet - that is one of my hates - but it is getting more shallow with each day......

Poor Truffs & the sickness. That sounds awful. Hope the docs can help you out.

The forecast is lubberly for the weekend here. Perfect for being stuck indoors all day Sat, panting in labour positions at our ante natal class. Typical!

Truffkin · 07/04/2011 10:33

Thanks Hags, don't get me wrong I'll put up with it for the end game but it's kind of weird that it's becoming quite normal to excuse myself (from a meeting, phone call or just watching the telly with TGB) go and puke, brush my teeth and then come back like it's nothing out of the ordinary Hmm

Bitey I cannot wait for that day, it sits like a shining beacon of hope on the horizon Grin

The belly button thing weirds me out too, am really hoping mine stays in. My sister's did (she was dreading it too) so ho knows? My SiL's has popped out all 3 times and it was one of the first things she said to me. That convo went something like - both of us happily sitting on a bench enjoying a lager shandy at a wedding a few weeks ago: SiL 'oooh, do you think your belly button will pop out' Me 'I freakin' hope not, it would make me vomit' Oh the irony!

owlbooty · 07/04/2011 10:42

You poor thing; tis grim. One day you will wake up and feel okay again, I remember the first day I wanted to eat chocolate and a cup of tea - oh, how I danced with joy. And I wasn't even sicking, just feeling sicky.

rocket belly buttons are gross. I suspect mine will thankfully stay in though. It just seems to be stretching sideways which is pretty damn weird to look at.

Comedy outfits for little 'uns are the way forwards.

Ivegotmrbitey · 07/04/2011 10:52

Mine has sort of gone wobbly round the edges, odd when the rest of my skin is so taut. It makes it look massive in clothes!

Sorry rocket

rocketleaf · 07/04/2011 11:00

Apparently if you have a very 'inny' belly button, they tend not to pop out, so I am hoping mine behaves. The weird thing is that the skin around my belly button is really soft, so thats obviously the skin that was inside all these years and is now getting pulled to the outside I am glad I am not the only one to find this a bit horrifying.

Oh meant to say to lorralorraexcercise SQUASH?????!!!!! Wha? I can't believe you are still playing squash at 7 months diffed, and then refer to yourself as lazy? Swimmig and yoga are about as energetic as i have been all pregnancy and then not very often!

LadyGoneGaga · 07/04/2011 11:08

Really sorry Rocket but I had a deep cave of a belly button. Popped out in the end, they mostly do.

Mine has semi-popped already this time. If I tense my tummy muscles it pops out. They do go back though, never quite as neat as before. Good for giving it a good old clean!

Stumps are a bit gross, have to say but you won't care you will be so besotted with every inch!

I was also a bit Shock at the squash revelation. Yes, lie yourself down girl.

rocketleaf · 07/04/2011 11:27
laurielou · 07/04/2011 11:38

Oh, pliz not to be too impressed at my squash antics, I promise it was not that energetic. And 40 mins of that was usually followed by an evening on the sofa.

Rocket I've now had to stroke the outskirts of my belly button to see it its softer than the rest. It doesn't seem to be. The thought that the previous insides of my belly button are making a break for the outside world has made me come over all faint a la Jane Austin styley.

I think I'll need to cut a little curve into my desk for my belly to fit. If not Bug is going to come out with a desk mark on his/her noggin. As well as all the little finger marks where I poke him/her. Poor little buggar Grin

laurielou · 07/04/2011 11:40

Oh, sorry, I'm laughing at my own jokes now little curve into desk. LITTLE.

I may be able to fit my nip into a little curve.

Hahahahahaha, fucking hahahahaha.

Ariesgirl · 07/04/2011 12:03

Wonderful news Medeeeeeeee, sounds like things are on the up. Everyone in ESHland is very glad xxx

Scorpette · 07/04/2011 12:39

Bitey, I'm-a gonna Mexican wrestle yo ass for reminding me of my posish on the list! That little romper is adorable - I've already got The Lad a couple of shorts one for when it's v hot. As for dressing babies up, I'm sure I've mentioned my plans for if mine has crazy hair; dress him in entirely in black and smear (organic!) red lippy round his mouth for my very own Robert Smith Grin

Truff, the first trimester is like nothing else you'll ever experience... and not necessarily in a good way. The nausea, the mental sense of smell, the metallic taste in the mouth, the crushing fatigue, the weird food cravings/avoidances... need I go on? You really just have to be as gentle on yourself as much as poss and not force yourself past what you can do and not beat yourself up for that.

My belly button is getting shallower by the day but I don't think it's going to pop, mainly due to the lap scar holding it in a bit. Have I ever mentioned how no-one told me my lap scars, which had all but disappeared, would go keloid when I got pg and now I have these huuuuge, thick rope-like brown scars in belly button and in a lovely vertical line above my pubes? Grrrr.

Apparently you can buy some sort of stick-on little patch that disguises outies under clothes but that notion does make me somewhat Hmm

I can't believe you've still been playing squash, Loz! No wonder you've been feeling so good. Really don't think you should call yourself lazy -I can barely pour myself some squash, hurhur I know what you mean about part of your old life going but it doesn't mean you'll never play again

Lovely comments, bella Milano, mwah! I agree that we're a pretty groovy bunch Grin
