Has all talk of my enormoflange (TM Rocket) stopped?

Scorps I'm vay glad you are dealing with the same. Yep, my feet, knees, lower legs & flange are looking swell Grin. On the plus side I have had the most amaze orgasms, so mebbe I get the last laugh after all Grin

Where is everyone meeting? Mebbe I could sit in a corner with a trench coat & false moustache until you've all finished talking about me. Sadly on a serious level next week is a bitch in work for me, consisting of meetings, audits & a journey to West Wales to visit my other team there. Gah!

Rie I did snort when you said MrA was Down Under, then I realised it wasn't what I was thinking. Sad face all round.

Scorps just realised you are only a tiny bit away from the top of the list. Which means so am I . Lots of hand holding required pliz.

I'm also going to brave the babygrow / sleepsuit / short / long sleeve mallarkey again today, thanks to the advice here.

PollyPoo · 24/03/2011 13:03

Can I just add confusion to the vest discussion? Long sleeved ones are good if you are planning on using grobags/sleeping bags - BB has a 1 tog one for the day and a 2.5 one for the night, and with both she just wears a long sleeved vest. Grin

I also suffered the enormoflange Loz. Well, maybe not quite as bad as yours! Sorry. Yes, it is just increased blood flow.

Good luck Medee, thinking of you!

In PooHouse news, BB is delighting me with her giggles and chuckles and enormous face-splitting grins. She really is the cutest thing ever and I am falling in love with her all over again. Grin Yay for the happy pills!

AlpinePony · 24/03/2011 13:07

Ocarina Shropshire/Powys borders - useful for virtually NONE! Wink

Ivegotmrbitey · 24/03/2011 13:07

Joins in the pacing with loz

God luck medee!

Fabby news milano Smile I am also in the shit with names - the FDH has come up with a corker that he loves and I hate. I have made it clear that she or does the squeaazing gets the final say!

Um, I'm sorry if I have upset mothers of boys or come across as dissapointed. I'm truly not! I was just so sure I was having a girl that I had completely fixated on a pink one and found it hard to adjust my mental picture. I had a lengthy chat with biteyboybach last night after differ's yoda and we are both very happy with each other Smile

Re enormoflange there is some swelling that area here too. It's hard to spot due to the joy of sex lady garden that I am spoting and have also been distracted by the whole anal mane thing of yesterday. I also have a cankle. Just the one though.

LadyGoneGaga · 24/03/2011 13:11

I used Grobags, Pol but still just used a proper sleepsuit in most weather. MiniG was unscathed! Think we only ever used 1 tog bags though When did you start using grobags? I can't actually remember - I know it wasn't from birth but clueless as to when we started.

And I NEVER undress for a daytime nap .

BB sounds gorge at the moment, Pol Smile. Am feeling mega broody at the moment and have to coo at all the babies at nursery. How is your big girl coping with the usurpment - is she good and trustworthy? MiniG very sweet and looking forwards to it all at the moment but who knows what he will be like when the reality of not being cente of attention hits!

laurielou · 24/03/2011 13:12

Ah Pol another enormoflanger Grin. I feel much better that its not just me.

BB sounds absolutely gorgeous. I've just partially melted into a pool of mush. Glad the pills are helping out too. Have you managed a kip this morning? You posted earlier at silly o'clock............

Alps bit out of my way. Shame. I'm still not convinced you're all real people Grin

LadyGoneGaga · 24/03/2011 13:18

No offence was taken, Bitey - just wanted to share my experience. I thought MiniG was a girl too all the way through. He wasn't! And I'm glad. But unless you only plan having one you'll get another crack at a girl anyway.

I am pleased to report that I managed to shave my legs and paint my toenails today (in slightly shabby fashion). The lady garden has gone to shit however. Am going on hols for two weeks for beach style hol in early May - think am going to have to cave and get waxed as I seriously can't see to do it myself and it is literally creeping down both thighs. I do have some standards and sporting a pant moustache on holiday is a step too far even for me.

I think the swollen flange thing is pretty normal, Loz. Just avoid leggings and short tops. Although people tend to look at preggo wimminz bumps and not their crotches unless they are a bit fetishistic.

laurielou · 24/03/2011 13:22

Bitey absolutely no offence here re the boy / girl thing. I find it totally fascinating that we manage to convince ourselves of one or t'other. When mum was expecting me she was 100% it was a boy. Then I popped out & the MW said "Congrats you have a little girl". It didn't really register & 30 mins later mum asked "What did you say I had again?" When the MW replied I was still a little girl mum said it was like opening the biggest surprise present of her entire life - total amazement & shock. Then she had my brother & thanked Jebus I was a girl Grin.

laurielou · 24/03/2011 13:24

Yey to all you enormoflangers!

Rocket thanks for inventing that word. Its one of my favourites now. Like Romp. And Wanger.

owlbooty · 24/03/2011 13:28

Fwoargh, Bitesme you sound HAWT. Especially the singular cankle.

What is differ's yoda btw? Grin

Pols BB sounds exceptionally snuffleable, so glad you are enjoying her and indeed hoorah for the happy pills.

I think the names debate will run and run. Am still not 100% sure about the one we've provisionally chosen and in the meantime I am calling the little fella Wilberforce. Which will immediately 'out' me to anyone who knows me. Oh well.

Medee · 24/03/2011 13:31

Hello! Bet you didn't expect to see me.

I have successfully managed to negotiate a second sweep and a delay to induction to tomorrow at 4pm. Feel a lot more positive than I have done over the last few days. Had the trace for 30+ minutes, and baby is happy and active. Felt like I was in an episode of OBEM as I lay there!

MW consulted with someone, not sure who, but whoever they were, they were happy for me to have a second sweep and postpone for 24 hours. Another MW did the sweep - my cervix has moved back a bit due to pressure of baby's head, but has dilated a little further to 2-3cms. Sweep was longer (maybe cos of the access to cervix) so hopefully that will be it this time. Also, sweep was less uncomfortable and I managed to use my breathing while she did it.

Tomorrow, same observation/ examination process -then pessary or if cervix sufficiently open, they'll break my waters, but the good news is that MLU and water birth are still on the cards even after artificial rupturing. MW also said water has been shown to avoid need for the drip. Think she said I get 6-8 hours before the drip is required.

Much, much happier now, feeling like most of my choices are back on the table. Off for a walk now to see if I can get this baby moving!

laurielou · 24/03/2011 13:41

Meds you are a trooper! Thanks for the update, you know how we fret Grin. You sound much brighter - I'm so glad. Now, off for a nice walk & lets see what the next few hours bring. Thinking of you, x

Casserole · 24/03/2011 13:49

Yay yay yay!! That's such great news Meds . Yes, get walking!

It also occurred to me yesterday that both my babies have been born the night after I cleared out my bedside drawers. I am taking this as the Scientific Proof it obviously is of a direct causal link between the two. I shall of course be publishing a book on the subject forthwith, but I thought I would share my Secret with you. So clear out your bedside drawers and you'll be snuggling your babe by bedtime. Trufax. Grin

owlbooty · 24/03/2011 13:53

Hooray Meds & well done for sticking to your guns :) We will be demanding regular cervix updates until MiniMeds arrives.

Cass I have no bedside drawers. Does this mean the baybee will never come out?

Casserole · 24/03/2011 13:59

Hmm. Do you have a wardrobe Bootle ? I also did that the first time around, so perhaps that would do the trick. I will of course cover alternative bedroom furniture arrangements extensively in my book. Or perhaps in the follow-up book to accompany it.

I am imagining the jingle for Cervix Updates...

owlbooty · 24/03/2011 14:13

I have a wardrobe! Phew. Perhaps there could be a chapter in the ESHhandbook on methods of making baybees turn up including drawer clearing.

Something tells me that the ESHhandbook would be too rude to publish anywhere. You'd have to get it off the top shelf in a paper bag.

Scorpette · 24/03/2011 14:22

Oh, Medee, so happy that it's likely you'll get what you wanted Grin Glad it wasn't too uncomfortable and is fab that you're starting to dilate. So keep walking and don't forget to clean out your bedside drawers Wink I'm presuming that isn't a euphemism...

My enormoflange is even more enormo at the thought of Bitey's single cankle plus anal mane. Last night, my trotters were going mottled like an old crone's. HAWT!

Poo, BB sounds good enough to eat! And having seen the pics, I know she is... c'mon, giz a nom on a chubby baby foot! So glad the drucks are working. Anyone got any veras? Laavley!

Re: Grow-bags - when we were looking at them in JL on Monday, 2 assistants pounced on us to anxiously warn us not to use them on newborns, like we were discussing how we would keep baby warm by putting a carrier bag over its head Hmm

Scorpette · 24/03/2011 14:25

Actually, my feet are quite mottled now, having looked at them Confused Putting them up has zero effect, hmmmph. I would love to get out in the sun for a walk, but between them and the SPD (which is getting worse daily), I can barely get about, FFS.

laurielou · 24/03/2011 14:41

Jesus Scorps you had to make me look at my feet, didn't you? They look like a hobbit, only slightly less hairy. In fact from my knees to my toes its the same width all the way down Confused.

Mine actually swell up worse if I do nothing. Walking about seems to have the reducing affect. Trouble is, if I spend all day wandering aimlessly around the office I may get hauled into the special room.

laurielou · 24/03/2011 14:42

Whereas looking on MN all day is perfectly fine Grin

Scorpette · 24/03/2011 14:49

My calves have gone massive too Sad I used to be quite vain about my shapely pins. They better bloody get back to how they were, grrrr.

Mine get better too if I walk around - trouble is, that then activates the SPD pain! So it's a choice between which is the least shit. Ah, I am a radiant earth mother and no mistake

Scorpette · 24/03/2011 14:58

Sorry to clusterpost, but have you got Mr Lou to massage your feets, Loz? TYF does mine most nights and it does really work. Trouble is, for some reason he doesn't like the way I yelp instructions like a brutal 70s pimp: "work those whores!" "break those bitches!" "Show those slags no mercy!" and so on Grin

laurielou · 24/03/2011 15:07

Grin like your slave driving antics. Yeah, Mr Loz massages them every night. Bless him. Once he's got past the "Eurgh" They're gross / Elephant leg at kebab shop" comments.

Scorpette · 24/03/2011 15:14

TYF doesn't comment on mine. Apart from being of the 'you look lovely' school of Massive Bullshit - even if I was 50 stone, looked like the Elephant Man and had an Arthur Scargill haircut - he can be felled by one meaningful Look. I am a dragon just like his Mum (one good thing about her!), so he knows when to keep it zipped Grin

Medee · 24/03/2011 15:16

Damn it, I did my bedside drawers weeks ago!
