Have been dying to start a thread so here goes!

Got a BFP on Wednesday so if all goes well I will be due on the 1st July 2006.

Have 1 DD who is 2 years 3 months and am finally PG again after a MC in June.

Come and join in the fun!

oh gosh, I have just been catching up with everything on this thread... CK1 and Muppet - this is exactly what happened to me with my pregnancy with Ds - I must have found out I was PG at THE earliest possible moment, even though by my dates I shouldhave been about 8 weeks. My gp booked me in for an early scan to find out due date and the sonographer couln;t get an ultrasound scan so gave me a vaginal scan and concluded that 'it looks like something was there...' and on her report said it was consistent with a 4/5 week pregnancy. ( no mention of reasurrance she scared the hell out of us) We went straight back to the Gp who took a bllod test and booked us an appoitment for another scan 3 weeks later. My blood test results showed that my levels of bsh(?) or whatever they test for were really high so that was some reassurance till the next scan which was viable at 8 weeks. So all was ok in the end for me... Iam keeping my fingers crossed for you both and you Gizmo, you are in my thoughts.

Have you considered a blood test before scans in 10 days? Alot of places don't like to scan before 7 weeks for these reasons... food for thought.
Hope everyone else is well
Its my birthday and Ds and i have horrid coughs and colds and i can't take anything! moan moan

monkeychops · 23/11/2005 15:15

Sorry Gizmo didn't read your last post - Great news! Do you have a due date?

Gizmo · 23/11/2005 15:39

No due date as yet - sonographer was most strict about this not being a dating scan. However, having thought about this (and consulted diary!) I'm pretty sure I know the date of conception, from which I suspect my due date should be July 21st (+ say another 2 days to allow for ovulation post bd'ing scenario).

So, 21 - 23rd July.

I knew date of conception for DS, too, which gave me a due date a couple of days earlier than the 'official' one. He arrived on my due date, so my track record so far is pretty accurate!

monkeychops · 23/11/2005 15:46

Well if MY dates are correct I am due on the 20/ 21st - am having a scan a week tomorrow.

Gizmo · 23/11/2005 16:00

Race you!

monkeychops · 23/11/2005 16:15

Talking of racing - are you still running? I noticed you were on the running thread a while ago.

Gizmo · 23/11/2005 16:26

Yes, although I am taking it fairly easy right now. Found out I was pregnant shortly after I discovered that I had a place in the London Marathon next year - DOH! Still, I can probably defer it for a year.

Not sure how I feel about the prospect of picking up marathon training with a 9 month old baby in tow but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it

kbaby · 23/11/2005 21:22

Id just like to say big hugs to everyone at the moment.

Im getting brown staining and the odd twinge which is frightening but I dont want to run down the doctors and demand a scan which is what I did with DD. Hoping everything will be ok. No real signs of feeling pregnant yet.

jersey · 24/11/2005 08:09

Morning everyone. Sickness seems to be kicking in again, thought that was too goo to be true. Absolutley knackered this morning and DS slept through last night , I was up twice to the loo!! College tonight, hope I can stay awake through it and that the sickness is a little better. May just go and hand in my essay and then go home, will have to see.

Gizmo where do you get the energy to run !!

Gizmo · 24/11/2005 08:55

By doing as little as possible at work Jersey!

HumphreysCorner · 24/11/2005 09:44

Morning ladies

Gizmo-brill news about your scan hun-not long until the proper dating one. ((xx))

muppet3 and CK1-how are you both today-thinking of you and sending virtual hugs (((xxx)))

How is everyone else? Not heard from some of you for a while-dangirl, lindilou, OldieMum and lilianna-hope you are all OK.

DH has a terrible cold and today I have absolutely no energy so combined with extreme nausea don't feel too good. Have my booking in appointment tomorrow so fingers crossed I might get my scan date. By the sounds of it the scan dept is not too busy (not like when I was due my scan in June-13 weeks was the earliest they could get) so will see.

Love and hugs to all-must start some wrapping.

Feeling really tired today - can't keep my eyes open.

IamBlossom · 25/11/2005 10:41

Hi. Usual trepidations about tempting fate etc, but am in week 6 and got a BFP yesterday!! So have hopped on here from TTC thread, I am due 26th July I think....AND my younger sister is due 31st!!!! How mad is that? Telling our parents together tonight, now THIS should be interesting........ xxxxxx

Gizmo · 25/11/2005 11:14

Oooooh, a family celebration...it should be fun in the Blossom senior house tonight.

Congrats Iamblossom.

IamBlossom · 25/11/2005 11:31

Thankyou am very happy, and can't stop smiling, have to say work is suffering somewhat today!

Gizmo · 25/11/2005 11:32

I think I'm already preparing for maternity leave. Which is just a bit premature....

jersey · 25/11/2005 11:39

Hi congrats Iamblossam, think we are due around same time, although I think I am 5 weeks+2. Will find out when book in with midwife.

Thats amazing you and your sister at the same time!! I thought it amazing that I fell preg in the same month as the first time.

Hi 2ndtmelucky I know what you mean I was hit with utter exhaustion yesterday and today.

Muppet and Ck1 hope you are coping.

HumphreysCorner · 25/11/2005 12:03

Mega congratulations IamBlossom-welcome to the thread hun

My midwife is doing my booking in appointment this afternoon-hope she still turns up in the snow.

Got all prepared to do some wrapping and the stoopid paper I bought from Sainburys ages ago is see through so it is going in the bin-what a complete waste of money. Wrapped a couple of presents in it and you could see exactly what they were! Grrrrhhh!!!

Enjoy the snow girls.

Bye for now.

HC - whats all this about pains, you feeling alright? have you been over doing it with your little one?
If you're having pains your midwife better not use the snow as an excuse to stay away, hope all goes well.

IamBlossom · 25/11/2005 12:47

Jersey - I know! It's just hilarious I can't stop laughing about it. Enormous at the same time...scans at the same time....possibly in same hospital at same time!!

fanks everyone.

HumphreysCorner · 25/11/2005 15:54

Midwife has been-my scan is on the 13th December so hopefully will be 11+3 then

She thinks my pains are just ligaments stretching-don't feel quite so nauseous today so panic setting in again. Keep prodding the boobs to see if they are still sore.

Snow nearly gone now-just watched Walk Away and I Stumble-so, so sad.

Love and hugs to all

Hi,
Ive been bleeding off and on since yesterday. I called the epu yesterday but the earliest they can fit me in for a scan is monday am. I dont feel pregnant at all. I dont have any syptoms which I had with DD.
I think ive prepared myself for the worst on Monday.

dangirl · 25/11/2005 20:54

Hello Girls!
Due to all sorts of viruses/trojans/worms and the likes, our computer has been non functioning for nearly a week But now I am back again

I have scanned over the m essages from the last week. I am SO SO sorry to CK1 and Muppet. I have been there myself twice in the last year and it is just SOO hard. And as someone so rightly pointed out, lonely! Big hugs to you and I wish you all the very best!!!

I had a scare myself this week. Had some spotting on Sunday evening and I thought my symptoms had decreased markedly... was absolutely sure that I had lost yet another baby. I was so upset.
I had a scan on Tuesday which luckily showed a good heartbeat and the bleeding has stopped

Am now 8 weeks and 4 days!!

Have a good w/e all.

Hugs from
Dangirl xx

dangirl · 25/11/2005 20:55
