Hi everyone what a day ive had of it so far. Phone Hospital they havn't even heard of me- they said that I need to go for an early scan to set my mind at rest. Phone Drs for referal- said they wont refer me as there is nothing wrong. Drs phoned hospital to tell them about me and they insisted he refered me. Said he wouldn't so now a midwwho ive never met has jumped in a nd refered me finally- I have a scan at 2pm friday. Fingers crossed for me. Hope I get a good nights sleep tonight.

Strange thing is I have so much energy today- just dont feel pg-
HC hope you like your hair! thanks for youer concern ill keep you posted. straightforward thanks again.

Hi everyone - blimey, can't keep up with this thread as only manage to get on every few days!

Hello to everyone and welcome to newbies.

harley - that sounds terrible - your GP should have referred you. Obviously no understanding of what it is like to be a pregnant woman. Still, good that a midwife has sorted it. Hope your scan goes well.

Great news on your scan HC.

jersey · 14/12/2005 13:15

Good news on your scan HC, can't believe how your doctor behaved harley , even with the hospital saying you must be refered. Good luck for Friday.

harley1 · 14/12/2005 14:36

Thanks- hows everyone else feeling?

jersey · 14/12/2005 15:52

Knackered but not so sick (fingers crossed). I look at least 3 months gone .

nannyjo · 14/12/2005 19:37

can i join???

I'm due according to the docs on 31st july 06 but i gave doc wrong day (only by 1 day) so i think it's august 1st so which thread do i join/

I know i'll have the baby early anyway so i thought this one was best, maybe i should join june too cos it could be that early!!

nannyjo · 14/12/2005 19:38

sorry forgot to say this is second baby, i've got a 14 month old DS

HumphreysCorner · 14/12/2005 20:42

Welcome nannyjo-big congratulations to you hun. Please feel free to stay on our thread-one day out doesn't make much difference. ((xx))

harley1-so glad you have got a scan on Friday-stoopid medics-it is true that being PG to them just isn't important-doh! Lots of luck hun. ((xx))

Have finally taken my trousers in to be shortened-they are short from Mothercare but still too long so costs another £6 on top of the £30 I paid-gggrrrhhh! Hopeless at turning up clothes. My bump is getting huge-I'm not going to be able to keep it secret much longer. I actually look about 4-5 months gone-I think this does happen with subsequent babies due to muscles giving way under the strain-lol!

DH is supposed to be getting DD ready for bed but is not getting on with it. She will be horrible tomorrow with tiredness-it is far too late to be up!

Hope everyone is having a relaxing evening.

Nighty night

Hi nannyjo and congratulations!

Harley1 - can't believe the sheer pig-headedness of your dr - even after hospital told him to refer you! Fingers crossed for it going really well.

HC - I have the opposite problem and had real trouble getting maternity jeans etc long enough last time. I'm tall, but not tall (or rich!) enough for the likes of Long Tall Sally. They should do a special maternity Trinny and Suzannah thing - it's bad enough looking decent at the best of times without having to shop in bloomin mothercare etc!

nannyjo · 14/12/2005 21:52

wow reading into this some of you really are having a rough time of it hey!

I'm luckily not suffering other than being MEGA tired but i'm running around after a VERY active and mad 14 month old boy so it's not as easy as last time around.

I have been having a few period tye pains though but told not to worry they are just settling pains but that doesn't stop you worrying does it, were only human after all. I wish i could have a scan i've got mine booked in for 17th jan, thats aaaaages away!!

Last pregnancy i counted the weeks this one i'm counting the days to get to those weeks. I had a close friend who sadly lost her baby so it is very much on my ming all the time infact i'm neurotis about it and that won't do much good will it. Hey ho! 5 weeks to go.......

Sorry this is a pooey post.

I'll cheer it up by saying a big CONGRATS to everyone on here. It'll be lovely to share experiences, i never did this first time round.

IamBlossom · 15/12/2005 10:36

I didn't do this first time round either,it's good to hear everyone else's thoughts.

I can't keep up with the thread, have had to spend 10 mins reading everyone's posts!

Feel a bit icky 80% of the time, but not really enough to call it nausea, bit tired, but nothing earth shattering, am i really preggers at all??? Went out for dinner last night (on a SCHOOL NIGHT AND EVERYTHING!!! ) with some girlfriends and got back at 11.30 and was fine, thought I'd be asleep in my pudding but was surprised i was so ok! It was lovely to go out and have a chat with some chums.

DS (15 months) has a christmas party tomorrow at nursery and has to go dressed as a nursery rhyme character, found the letter in his bag last night and am stressing about what to do for him. All inspiration welcome (and please bear in mind a Blue Peter Presenter I ain't.........)

Great news about your scan HC

Hi ladies,

Just a quick note to say I'm bowing out, I've had bleeding on and off for the past few days and a scan last night confirmed there was nothing there.

Good luck to you all and I hope you all get very healthy babies!

dangirl · 16/12/2005 09:22

Oh Mumsxmaswish - I am soo sorry to hear of you loss. I know how this feels. Thinking of you and sending you lots of hugs.

Harley1 - good luck today. Keeping my fingers x-ed for you. Sounds hopeful though. You may get another scan before the 20 week one depending on the hospital. But really it is possible to do a dating scan at 9 1/2 weeks just as at 12 weeks.

Lots of love,
Dangirlxx
