mumsXMASwish · 13/12/2005 13:25

harley I've not had any symptoms so far. I wouldnt worry too much. Didnt realise I was this far gone till scan this morning

harley1 · 13/12/2005 13:27

XMAS- how exciting that its sooner! Have you told your friends? I cant lie to my friends and so many have guessed - im just worried if all goes wrong that ill have to tell them. So cross with my self for having these negative thoughts all the time- its just i wan this baby so much.

mumsXMASwish · 13/12/2005 13:31

Not told anyone yet. Just me DF and one woman at work who guessed and is now looking after me from my evil boss.

Not gonna tell anyone till its safe. (12wks) cant go through having to tell everyone if it goes wrong. I had to do that with my last pg and it was horrible

carlychristmas · 13/12/2005 13:33

sorry to crash girls but and news yet from HC and her scan?

harley1 · 13/12/2005 13:42

Your so sensible i just couldn't help it- first pg I suppose. Just really hope i dont have to learn the hard way.

Hi Carly not sure who HC is just tring to get to know everyone. How are you?

mumsXMASwish · 13/12/2005 13:45

HC is Humphries Corner. She used to be on the TTC after MC thread with me and Carly. Carly isnt PG she's just nosing! lol Although with any luck she will be soon.

jersey · 13/12/2005 14:42

xmasspub · 13/12/2005 15:06

carlychristmas · 13/12/2005 15:11

mumsXMASwish · 13/12/2005 15:14

Carly - noone thinks your a nutter. Just nosey! lol

xmasspub · 13/12/2005 15:30

Ok, well now that you mention it, there is a certain "quality" to those associated with the ttc after m/c board.....

Straightforward · 13/12/2005 17:00

Hi Harley - you're due the same date as me

I think HC said yesterday that she wouldn't be able to post until the evening, so don't worry about not hearing from her yet.

Hey kbaby - fab news on your scan. God, if I'm relieved, you must be on the floor!

Straightforward · 13/12/2005 17:06

...forgot to add though that I hope it went really well HC

HumphreysCorner · 13/12/2005 18:17

Here I am girls

WHOOPEE ! ! !

After a long half hour wait I saw a beanie with 2 arms, 2 legs, a nose and a heartbeat-yay. The relief is enormous. The scan confirmed I am 11+3 and deffo due 1st July but as DD was a day early may be a June baby.

mumsXMASwish-how lovely but bizarre that you are so far on and haven't had all the worry. Brill news hun and welcome to this thread. ((xx))

kbaby-I'm over the moon on hearing your news as well-fabulous. ((xx))

Welcome to harley1 and mega congrats to you hun. Not everybody has symptoms so try not to worry. ((xx))

jamiesam-thanks for the link to the Environmental Agency-put in my postcode and the area was completely blue . Means my house insurance is going to treble now. Damn blast! ((xx))

Still feel v. nauseous but it is completely worth it now I have seen beanie. Because of my age (36) the midwives keep drumming in about high risk for downs etc so that is my next mountain to climb when I get the results of the blood test in January.

Incidently, has anyone done the holding a ring or needle tied to a bit of cotton over your bump to see if it is a girl or boy? If it swings in a straight line it is a boy but if it swings in a circle it is a girl. Mine is a straight line so far but will keep doing it until I find out at the 20 weeks scan.

Must go and get some food before the acid gets any worse.

Hi to everyone else and thank you for your kind wishes.

Love and hugs to you all from me who is currently floating on cloud 9!

(((xxx)))

Thank you to everyone else who has been so kind- Really not feeling good today got bad pains- went to the Drs and he said nothing to worry about- ill just have to wait and see. Carly are trying or have you children? Or you just love to chat

harley1 · 13/12/2005 18:41

Straight forward, really nice to know someone due same date- have you had a scan, or seen midwife or what? Is it your first?

Sorry to ask so many questions just not really sure what im doing or where im at?!

maewest · 13/12/2005 18:58

HC - really exciting news about the scan. Must be lovely finally see the beanie!

maewest · 13/12/2005 19:01

welcome Harley1. This is my first pg too, a complete voyage into the unknown.

I've been trying my best not to tell, so far the list includes: my parents, my brothers, DH's family (including Nana who is already knitting), one of my oldest friends and one of my work colleagues because I was in such a state on Friday seems like quite a lot now I write it down...

lilianna · 13/12/2005 19:18

HC glad to hear everything's fine.

Straightforward · 13/12/2005 20:24

HC - fab to hear about your scan

Harley1 - I had a scan at 7 weeks as I'd had some spotting and cramping (still getting the cramping intermittently actually). I've seen the doctor and she told me the MW would be in touch but haven't heard yet. This will be my 2nd - have a dd who is 3.5. Sorry to hear you're feeling bad. And on another topic, if you still want help with abbreviations, go to 'acronym list' at the top of the page.

Straightforward · 13/12/2005 20:25

oh, and it's worth adding - this may be my 2nd child but I'm still scared to death!!!

Straightforward · 14/12/2005 09:26

Harley1 - how are you doing this morning? Saw your other thread last night and I've been worried about you hun. Hope all is OK.

HumphreysCorner · 14/12/2005 09:38

Moring ladies

harley1-how's things. I too read your other threads. You can get a scan at 10 weeks so I would insist hun. Good luck. ((xx))

Well, still throwing up and head still banging.

Part 2 of the Environmental flooding saga-DH had phoned the Env Agency and they told him it costs £25 for the info so I phoned the ins company and told them that as they required the info then they should pay but they refused. I told them I couldn't afford to pay so we now have a flood exclusion on our policy-so if it floods we don't get paid out. Nothing else I can do really-not flooded in the last 70 years at least so highly unlikely to have flooding in the near future (fingers crossed).

Off to have my hair cut today but must do some housework first.

Have a good day!

Byee
