Happy Birthday dangirl, glad your scan went well jamiesam.

Hi Norms will have a think about a name not very good at inspiration on names!! Ones I can think of at the moment to give you plenty of time are (probably not very good):

Babies for Xmas Santa please!
Autumn Beanies are falling.

If I think of any more I will add them on.

Happy birthday Dangirl! Great scan news jamiesam!

How pg is this? Dd had a playdate with a friend from playschool yesterday and I bought a bag of doughnuts to take round to share with mum/kids. We had a cup of tea and a doughnut each, then she insisited I took some home (there were loads in the bag). Despite feeling nauseous, I felt another doughnut would help me on the long walk home in the cold and dark, and I gave the other to dd. I ate mine and dd didn't want hers so I ate hers too! 3 doughnuts in one bloody afternoon! I felt soooo sick, but I wanted that sugar!

IamBlossom · 08/12/2005 11:02

I can't stop bloody eating. I heart food. It's all I think about. I'm usually soooooo strict with myself, but I eat AT LEAST 6 meals a day at the moment. Yesterday had usual meals and then felt sick but hungry at 4 so had a bacon sandwich and then a curry 2 hours later for tea! I'm going to be a big fat heifer by 12 weeks at this rate.

lilianna · 08/12/2005 11:16

hi girls. sorry i haven't been on here for a long time.
How are your pgs going?
was in hospital monday with bleeding and stomache cramps. Had a scan tuesday shows i have early placenta seperation with bleeding inside, the bleeding is a bigger than what the hospital want to see so now just gotta wait and see what happens. Edd date has changed now from 11 july to 12 july. Got another scan 20/12/05

jamiesam · 08/12/2005 14:19

I'm sorry to hear that lilianna. What can you do? Rest? I know this sort of wait and see is horrid if you're imagining the worst, but you know we're all going to imagine the best for you, positive vibes coming through now.

HumphreysCorner · 08/12/2005 15:48

Good news about your scan dangirl . A Doctor-we are not worthy. I'm a banker and I know there are a few who hate Bank's policies but hey-that's what I do so I'm not bovvered! ((xx))

jamiesam- I'm 36 so nearly as old as you

My stats are

Me 36
DH 35
DD 2yrs 5 months

This piggin sickness is getting me down-as soon as I do too much it arrives to ruin my day. Was hoping it would have buggered off by now!

lilianna-sorry to hear about your problems-hope it can be sorted hun. ((xx))

Good luck to any one else having scans-I can count the days until mine on 1 hand now-phew. Roll on Tuesday.

Right off to make some soup and see if I can keep it down.

Love and hugs to all of you.

Afternoon all. Great news about your scan Dangirl, we ought to make a new EDD list soon...

My sickness is going from bad to worse, and the tiredness seems even more of a problem to deal with - I had to ask dh to come home early on tuesday because i kept falling asleep on the sofa! I am just not a nap person atall, not even in the early weeks of ds's life did i nap during the day... It's sooo debilitating, I know exactly how you feel HC.

I think i must be the baby of this thread:
I am 26
Dh: 42 (that probably averages us out a little!)
Ds: 19 months

...Used to be an estate agent before ds was born - now there's an unpopular job title!

HumphreysCorner · 08/12/2005 18:41

I think when anyone has a dating scan they can put their deffo due date down and then when everyone has a deffo date we can compile a proper list.

I seem to think that only dangirl has a proper date of 8th July 06.

Hi everyone!
Lilliana - fingers crossed for you, petal.

I'm holding no one's profession against them - it's only what we DO - not what we ARE, after all!

Glad scans have gone well (mostly). My scan date finally came through after I chased the hospital and it turned out they had sent my letter to my old address! D'oh! I can't understand it as they saw me in June when I miscarried and had my new address then!
Anyway it's on December 22nd when I should be 11+6.
I'm having a private nuchal fold a week later on Dec 29th.
Mt stats:
Me: 35 (another oldie!)
DH: 35
DD 3 (in January)
1x m/c at 7 weeks in June.
Hope this helps!!
Love to all

dangirl · 08/12/2005 22:38

Just been out for a lovely birthday meal with DH. Grandparents came to babysit DD.

Nice to be out just the 2 of us

Have had a lovely day. Thank you for all your well wishes!

Night night

jersey · 09/12/2005 08:11

Hi, goodluck with your scan next tuesday HC. Much the same with me tiredness bad, sickness here and there depends on how tired I am!

I'm an IT support person, don't think there's any bad vibes with this one, but as you say its what we do for a job, not who we are.

Haven't got my scan date yet but expect 1st/2nd week in Jan.

IamBlossom · 09/12/2005 09:22

Do you think going to the gym and swimming is ok? I want to keep exercising and did with my first all the way through, but can't help worrying, especially with every twinge and muscle spasm. Walking on a treadmill and gentle swimming is fine isn't it.....

jersey · 09/12/2005 09:33

I think so. They deff recommend swimming in preg and gentle walking so they should be fine.

HumphreysCorner · 09/12/2005 10:23

Morning ladies

I went swimming once before my MC and can't help wondering if that might have caused it-doubt it though but I am not doing anything this time that may jeopardise my chances of a healthy beanie. At least I can say that I have been v. careful.

DD at mum and dad's today so determined to finish the wrapping as the clutter is getting me down. Problem is because of my sickness from hell yesterday I now have the headache from hell-ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a good day y'all.

Byee

Sending you lots of positive vibes lilianna.

HC - finish the wrapping?!?!? - how organised are you?!?! I've hardly got anything to wrap yet. You've sent me into a right panic. Haven't even got my Christmas cards yet, never mind written them and sent them. OMG!

heartinthecountry · 09/12/2005 12:58

Haven't had time to read everything but briefly, my stats:

Me: 34
DH: 34
One dd: 3

I work in P/T in publicity for a publishing company.

Have my nuchal/dating scan on 10th Jan.

Just reading the proof for a new book we are publishing about pregnancy and the author (v. well respected midwife and fertility expert) suggests that you 'avoid strenuous exercise' so i guess swimming and gentle exercise are fine.

kbaby · 09/12/2005 17:15

Hi.
Heres my stats.
me - 28
DH-32
DD 18 months
EDD 28/7/06

Still waiting for my scan on Monday to check beanie but ive had some positive signs. My bloods came back as having doubled and since tuesday I have felt sick constantly unless im eating. Im even waking up at 2am hungry.
Fingers crossed for Monday.

IamBlossom · 09/12/2005 18:43

Good luck Kbaby. thanks for notes on exercise guys, I know what you mean HC, if I had a m/c I'd blame something or other, but tell myself a gentle swim can't hurt.

DD is muttering and bashing something against the sides of his cot, i am ignoring him and hoping he will go to sleep....

Totally knackered today. Skived off work as was avoiding drinkathon Christmas lunch and took DS to Mumbaba (singing) and spent the day with friends. Loved being with DS but have clearly forgotten how tiring being with them all day is. Better get some practice in than just weekends before this one arrives.

Feel sick then eat - then feel sick so eat again. Pea and ham soup for tea, seemed like a good idea in Sainsburys........

Just done ANOTHER test, and yes, still BFP. Am I the only one who periodically tests throughout the first 12 weeks as if the symptoms weren't enough? Complete waste of money but reassuring all the same.

Have a lovely weekend everyone. I am now also in panic mode about Chrimble........xxxx

jamiesam · 09/12/2005 22:24

For everyone else who's way behind with Christmas preparations - last date for second class post is a week tomorrow - better get my arse into gear next friday then

Kbaby, that sounds pretty good to me. Loads of luck for Monday.

Iamblossom, I couldn't possibly afford to do many more pg tests, after the zillions I did over the summer - at my worst I did 4 ahead of a single AF (and this at a time when it was not clear whether I was actually ov'ing or not!). I do however have the luxury of having had a scan this week. MW marked it down as a 'reassurance scan' on my hand held notes. Feel like she might as well have written 'neurotic alert' in bright red capitals!

HumphreysCorner · 10/12/2005 09:19

Morning ladies

11 weeks today-and sick as a dog . I really thought it was supposed to ease up round about the 12 week mark. Oh well. Worried that all the retching is going to dislodge the beanie. Hope everything is OK.

Did some more wrapping so not much to do now. It is only when you put the presents in a bag you realise that you have to buy more things as it doesn't look enough.

IamBlossom-I haven't done a test for weeks but now I feel the need to do one now that you have mentioned it-ha! Will wait for my next wee. ((xx))

kbaby-fingers crossed for your scan on Monday hun. ((xx))

I have my one Christmas dinner on the 17th so that gives me a week to recover from the sickness as there is no way I can stomach steak.

Right must go and do some housework as I haven't done any for at least 2 weeks -just not felt like it and have been v. busy.

Love to you all and have a good weekend.

((xx))

Hi all

I have not been on for sooooo long.

Hi to the new ladies and hugs to those that are having a rough time.

I'm now 10+5 according to my dates and the booking scan is on Thursday, so fingers croseed. No real symptoms except sore boobs and I am eating like a pig.

Fact:
me:28
DH:29
DD:3

I am a team leader for a bunch of solicitors and paralegals who defend litigation for an insurance company but I want to step down. Don't get paid any more for doing it.

speak to you all soon. DD just woke up and insists I come off the 'puter'.

jersey · 12/12/2005 08:20

Morning everyone. My dating scan arrived sat post I'm booked in for the 3rd Jan at 10:00am and as my MIL who usually has DS is in hospital that day as well I'll be working from home that afternoon so may not get on her until the 4th.

I never believe there really is a baby there until the first scan .

Saw my twin nieces at the weekend so got a bit of practice feeding and changing a girl (just in case!), who doesn't run off half way through nappy changing .

DS was very good with them kissing them and when they cryed for their bottles rocking them and trying to give them his dummy!! I think he will be ok with this one.

Kbaby sounds good for your scan today, finger's crossed for you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

dangirl · 12/12/2005 11:58

kbaby - thinking of you today and keeping my fingers x-ed!!

OldieMum · 12/12/2005 15:40

I'm definitely not the youngest on this thread:

Me: 43
DH: 57
DD: 2.11

All seems to be going well - lots of nausea and sleepiness - though I had a scare last week. I think I had some kind of gastric flu, with diarrhoea and vomiting. I was very concerned about possible effects on the baby, but the midwife assured me that s/he is well protected against this kind of thing and that it would have to be very severe for her to worried. As there does seem to be gastric flu going around, I thought others might find this reassuring.
