Hmmm - a glass of champagne a day, HITC! They should make that free on the NHS!

mamma3 · 06/12/2005 12:02

Thanks girls, shall look them up.xxxxxxx

heartinthecountry · 06/12/2005 12:17

Hi Socci - Wondered how long it would be before someone spotted me here!

IamBlossom · 06/12/2005 12:29

Listen you lot - clear this up for me will you? I am 6+6 - that means I am in week 7 does it not? And tomorrow I will be 7 weeks gone, and in my 8th week. Am I right or am I right?

Too scared to drink, drank tooo much before I found out, although I do like the champagne idea for christmas...

IamBlossom · 06/12/2005 12:29

and what did she say you shouldn't be eating HITC out of interest?

heartinthecountry · 06/12/2005 13:46

I think I may have tried to block some of it out IamBlossom, but I think it was:

No liver or liver products i.e pate
No unpasteurised cheese
No unwashed fruit and veg or stuff from e.g a salad bar that has been sitting around
No raw/undercooked meat (rare steaks)
Limit tuna to one tin a week

But she did say I could eat lots of dark chocolate to help my iron levels.

heartinthecountry · 06/12/2005 13:48

and yes, I think you are right - you are now in your 7th week.

jamiesam · 06/12/2005 22:10

evening all

Home computer fixed at last - I've missed you, just been catching up - good news and bad. Hello to the late arrivals .

Have now gone into pg symptom overload - as well as feeling mildly sick a lot of the time (but I'm very distractable so as long as I keep busy, not a problem), I also now have backache and indigestion. I should remember (having already had 2 ds's) but aren't those symptoms supposed to happen in the LAST trimester????

Oh and am also very emotional. Yesterday I cried at Pinocchio, scene where puppet is given life by the magic fairy (only defence is I've never seen it before - and pg!!!)

I've got my first scan tomorrow, I'm soooo excited. Hope to let you know how it went from work tomorrow aft - wish me luck.

Oh, and I looked on the food standards website the other week and it said we're ok to drink one or two glasses of wine once or twice a week. I may have mentioned this before . Won't actually do so myself, but definitely planning a couple of wee drinks on Christmas Day and New Years Eve

And finally - sorry for going on - when can we have more facts, I want want want another list of edds etc and more facts -where are we all, what do we do??? (Please!)

HumphreysCorner · 06/12/2005 22:47

Good luck for your scan tomorrow jamiesam-you'll be fine hun ((xx))

dangirl-hope you get your scan as well-fingers crossed! ((xx))

Hi to everyone else. ((xx))

Only wish I felt like a glass of wine-yuk! Had a strawberry yoghurt after my tea-whyyyyyyyyyy????????????? Indigestion or what!

Off to have a listen with my heartbeat monitor-definitely lots more noise than there was before my MC so got to be good. Worrying now that the scan will show a baby but it will have no legs or something equally awful.

Anyway, wishing you all sweet dreams.

((xx))

Hi everyone, goodluck for your scan today jamiesam .

Had my booking in appointment yesterday, confirmed 26th July as my due date but needs checking at scan as I got a very strong pos preg test 5 days before af due. Scan in about 4 weeks, didn't manage an earlier one as midwife said the later the better for more detail.

Also going to be refered to the hypertension clinic (think thats right) as I had pre-eclampsia last time and they have to monitor me more closely this time . So much for a more peaceful pregnancy this time.

Jamiesam my details are:
me 34
DH 39
DS 16months
7 weeks today after first month of trying .

IamBlossom · 07/12/2005 09:18

Jersey, snap. I am 7 weeks today, and have a 15 month old DS. Due 26th July.

Age - 30
DH - 35
Work fulltime from home mostly selling software(if you can call what I am doing at the moment working - other people might call it completely dossing as have NO motivation at all)Booking in appointment 21st December, seems an age away....

jersey · 07/12/2005 11:19

iamblossam I think my appointment was very early for booking in. I work in IT Support allthough can't get any enthusiasim at the moment what software to do sell?

IamBlossom · 07/12/2005 11:35

Testing, Monitoring and Governance software. Nothing sexy unfortunately. I won't start on the Application Change Lifecycle or I may nod off.

dangirl · 07/12/2005 11:36

Going to Booking in (and hopefully scan) today. App at 1.15.
DH is coming to. Both for support and to keep DD company.
Am a bit nervous.

Hope to see consultant to talk about how to avoid premature labour this time.
DD arrived very early - 31+5. No reason ever found but could have been cervical incompetence. Who knows mayby I will need a cervical cerclage this time... Will hopefully know more by this afternoon.

Also fingers xed for you Jamiesam

Love,
Dangirl

Straightforward · 07/12/2005 11:42

Good luck with your scan jamiesam! I know what you mean about being emotional - I got teary at the theme tune to Clifford's puppy days today (shoot me now!!!)

OK, so you're after facts, so here are some about me:
8 weeks today (edd 19/7)
Me: 32
DH: 35
DD: 3.5
I live in Worthing and work p/t from home as a life coach (which is hilariously funny to anyone who knows me well as my life is practically always in chaos! My website, with more stuff about me, is here if you're interested.

Looking forward to hearing other people's facts!

Straightforward · 07/12/2005 11:44

And good luck for your appt today dangirl

jamiesam · 07/12/2005 12:34

Blimey, you're all youths!

I am 38, dh is 39, ds's are 4.2 and 2.4. Will just squeeze this one out before my 39th birthday! Dh and I work in planning dept of a northern Council. (Am on my lunch!)

Had lovely, lovely scan this am and all well. Will get another scan at 12 weeks which will formally date, but so far on course for 22 July.

Good luck with scan Dangirl

IamBlossom · 07/12/2005 12:55

Congrats jamiesan! So gald it went well.

Youths he he he

maewest · 07/12/2005 13:56

Working at home today finishing off some coursework. Just printed out final copies - hurrah!

Do I count as a youth too? My stats:

Me 27
DH 30
6w 5d today
EDD 28 July

This is our first baby & I'm currently a marketing manager working in the voluntary sector - hence the coursework, hope to get a professional qualification in marketing.

Very exciting to hear about scans, my booking appt is not until after xmas.

IamBlossom · 07/12/2005 14:44

I reckon that is deffo yoof status Maewest

dangirl · 07/12/2005 19:27

Evening Girls

All went well today.
Had my scan and baby still doing well with a lovely strong heartbeat
The scan has however changed my dates by 5 days. Which means that I am now "only" 9 +4 instead of 10 +2.
New EDD is 8/7/06.

I will also need to be seen regularly in their premature clinic. So next app is 4/1.

Stats:
Me 31 (that is as of tomorrow)
DH 41
DD 3 and 10 mths

I am a bit scared to mention that I am infact a doctor Mainly because a lot of women on MN seem to not like us and also you will realise that I can be as unsure about my pregnancy as any one of you.
My area is respiratory (lungs) so far away from the world of obs and gyn.

Good news about your scan Jamiesam!!

Hope all are well.
Love,
Dangirl

Hi Norms - I was on your thread for a fortnight or so till I got my BFP - happy to start a thread, but have no idea how to and a bit lacking in inspiration....."Falling by fall" sounds good...

Happy birthday DanGirl, congrats on Scan. I won't hold your profession against you!

jamiesam · 07/12/2005 21:46

Hi chaps

Good news about the scan Dangirl. Definitely won't hold your profession against you. Can't make the same promises about your age.

Come on, SOMEBODY must be as old as me
