Have been dying to start a thread so here goes!

Got a BFP on Wednesday so if all goes well I will be due on the 1st July 2006.

Have 1 DD who is 2 years 3 months and am finally PG again after a MC in June.

Come and join in the fun!

Morning all, hope everyone's ok. I'm exactly 6 weeks today. After worrying about lack of symptoms have now started to feel definitely queasy, I just can't seem to fancy any sort of food in the mornings except marmite on toast . I also keep getting half-way through food and then going off it (normally I eat like a horse!)

Saw my GP yesterday and she said just keep healthy and book in with mw at 12 weeks. Seems a very long time.

HumphreysCorner · 02/12/2005 10:44

Morning ladies

maewest-12 weeks is far too long as you should have your booking scan between 10 and 12 weeks. You will end up with one at about 14 at this rate. If I was you I would make the appointment at 10 weeks. ((xx))

monkeychops-congrats on your scan hun so a definite date of the 16th July! ((xx))

Anyone else got any definite dates-I think that we are all still waiting for our booking scans.

muppet3 and wools-thinking of you both today. ((xx))

Have just washed the car but all that bending gives me a stitch so having some tomato soup then off to iron and wrap some Chrissy pressies.

Love to all

((xx))

HC - as far as I know we only get one scan here (Bristol) at 20 weeks. Friend was pg last yr and this was same for her. Is this normal?

heartinthecountry · 02/12/2005 11:15

Hi maewest - my sister lives in Bristol and she only got the 20 week scan. It varies from area to area what you get automatically. We get a 10/12 week dating and nuchal fold scan and then a 20 week. I think you don't get offered the nuchal fold scan but blood tests instead?

I have my first midwife appointment on Monday, which seems very early (I am about 7 weeks). Think it is probably because my first dd has disabilities.

So sorry for you wools and thinking of others.

jersey · 02/12/2005 11:17

maewest, I thought everyone had to have a dating scan at 12 weeks and then a growth scan at 20+ weeks!

or is that just in Leicester?

jersey · 02/12/2005 11:18

HITC I have my midwife appointment at 7 weeks as well I think its just when she can fit me in unless its because I had pre-eclampsia last time.

maewest · 02/12/2005 11:25

Jersey - 20 weeks does seem a long time before I get to see the baby. Am a bit worried that I will get that far along and be told that it's just wind!

heartinthecountry · 02/12/2005 11:57

Hi Jersey - you are right - it is probably just scheduling. I was told I wouldn't see someone until about 16 weeks though. Still, am pleased it is earlier rather than later.

muppet3 · 02/12/2005 13:19

Just to say goodbye to you all. The second scan was conclusive, and I'm going into hospital for a d+c in a couple of hours. I wish you all the very best of luck and health for your pregnancies, and only wish I could have shared the happiness and excitement with you.

Take care.

jersey · 02/12/2005 13:57

Muppet3 so very sorry, best of wishes and take care of yourself. Come back and speak to us if you feel up to it.

HumphreysCorner · 02/12/2005 14:26

muppet3- so, so sorry. All our love to you hun.

We get a 10-12 week scan and a 20 week scan in the Lincolnshire region. We also have blood tests at 16 weeks but nothing else is offered.

I just take myself to the midwife-don't bother seeing the Dr first as they are not interested now so I booked in at 6 weeks. Took the midwife 3 weeks to get my file from the hospital so glad I went so early!

HumphreysCorner · 02/12/2005 20:41

jersey-I live on the coast about 5 miles from Cleethorpes so quite a long way from Sleaford.

kbaby-hope you are taking good care of yourself.

Have done some wrapping today bent down kneeling on the floor and it has nearly killed me. The stitch was terrible so hope I haven't done any damage.

Hi guys,
haven't been online for a couple of days.
Wools and muppet - I'm so sorry to hear your news. When you're ready you might want to look at the ttc after m/c board. Humphry's corner and I both spent a few months on there with some fantastic, funny and hugely supportive women. So sorry for your losses.
Kbaby - take it easy!
How's everyone else?
I'm now 9+1 and a right fatty! Boobs are scaaaary!! Not feeling too rough but rough enough!
Hope you all have a good weekend. Give all the beanies a pat from auntie xmasspub

Cwmtydu · 03/12/2005 18:22

Hallo everyone -- please can I join? I've been reading for a while but it's not quite felt real enough or I've not been brave enough to post. I'm 5+5 (if that means five weeks and five days!) and I'm due on 31st July (my second wedding anniversary). This is my first pregnancy and it all feels quite weird. Haven't really had any symptoms apart from being a bit tired, but i do feel generally different.
I haven't posted on Mumsnet much but have been reading avidly for a year now, and this is a mumsnet baby conceived (finally) after much encouragement from mumsnetters in February when I was making the decision to start ttc.
Looking forward to getting to know you all, and I've been thinking a lot about those of you going through horrible stuff or worrying about your babies, so all the best to you.

HumphreysCorner · 03/12/2005 22:45

A huge welcome to the thread Cwmtydu and congrats on your BFP

I am 10 weeks today-in double figures. I'm sure I've got a bit of a bump or perhaps it is all the cheese and biscuits I am scoffing-lol!

Hope you are all having a relaxing weekend especially wools,muppet3 and kbaby. ((xx))

Night all

Hi everyone, welcome Cwmtydu. Small world HC as originally I come from just outside Hull, not far from you . Hope your stich has gone. Your lucky only just having a bump at 10 weeks, thats been part of the giveaway with me as I have put on so much weight already . See what the midwife says tomorrow.

Well missed the works xmas do on sat night as throwing up friday and saturday, think its more related to exhaustion as particulary bad by the end of the week. My boss has just told me that after saturday most people seem to have put 2 and 2 together!!!! Although no one has actually asked me yet.

Think we may need to tell family sooner than later so they don't find out through other means.

jersey · 05/12/2005 08:33

Hello NovaBrandyButterPowder (interesting name!) your welcome do drop in, all visitors welcome. Congrats on your little one.

IamBlossom · 05/12/2005 09:08

Morning everyone. Hope you are all feeling well (ish)? So I am 6+5 and feeling quite tired, but no sickness luckily and not really many other symptoms at all! Am really looking forward to getting into double figures weeks wise as will then stop worrying so much (who am I kidding). Work drinkathon this Friday which I am going to avoid like the plague and will have to come up with a last minute energency to avoid suspicion. I was determined not to wish this time away but anxious to get a few more weeks under my belt (literally)....
