Im exhausted!
Sorry for the me thread!

Come on babies!!

mama2plusbump · 25/03/2011 06:20

Ohhhh hows the pain emma?

niamh29 · 25/03/2011 08:22

Well my pains kept coming so went into hospital, was disappointed to only be 1cm so it's all very slow but hopefully we'll have a baby today sometime.

Hope things pick up for you too Emma!

Medee · 25/03/2011 09:08

I have an induction appt today at 4pm - had a second sweep yesterday instead of induction, so was hopeful but nothing yet.

mama2plusbump · 25/03/2011 09:20

nimah bounce on the ball...and walk sidewards trust me it works!
x

haloflo · 25/03/2011 10:08

mama2plusbump Whats alternative induction?

niamh Fingers crossed something is starting and you will be well on your way soon.

medee Best of luck later, hopefully the second sweep will have got your body ready for the induction and you will have an easy time of it.

emma Any news? Did you call the hospital?

I'm also still here at 40+5 and I seem to have developed PUPPPs - a horrible itchy rash on my stretchmarks on my bump and hips. Wiki page here. The MW yesterday didn't know what it was - other than it wasn't anything to worry about as my hands and feet were unaffected & advised me to go to my GP if it got worse. Obviously I have used google to self diagnose but i'm pretty sure i'm right. Since then I feel it has and I am constantly itching. ARGH. Aparently it usually goes after delivery so fingers crossed baby arrives soon. I have made an appointment at 4.20 pm with the GP. I hope they know what it is and can prescribe, something, anything to give me some relief.

mama2plusbump · 25/03/2011 10:42

Ohh my hospital offer reflexology and aromatherapy when you go over kinda looking forward to it...its west middlesex a fab hospital!

mama2plusbump · 25/03/2011 11:01

Rub olive oil on your skin it will help x

KPidgeon · 25/03/2011 16:56

Hi all,

Just checking in- things have quietened down on here haven't they. We're onto the last run of people still active on here I think.

It's been such beautiful weather in London I've actually not minded relaxing and being patient these past few days. Sat out in our tiny garden and caught the sun on my face yesterday. I did try telling LO that it would be a lovely time to enter the world but no sign! Due Sunday so I expect I'll be here a while longer!

I've had strange twinges the past couple of days but I think the baby is just big now so any movement he makes I can really feel.

Hope you're all hanging on in there..

Take care

Kagey · 25/03/2011 17:37

Still here waiting impatiently :( my contraction timer has been on the go since 4am this morning but the contractions are not just regular enough. Dh took the day off as we thought it was all go, but we had a nice family day in the sun so not all wasted.

I'm having curry for dinner tonight so fingers crossed the baby takes the hint.

Jupiter118 · 25/03/2011 18:01

Just checking in. To those waiting you have every right to moan as much as you want - hope not too much longer!! I have been lurking but no time to post...

Back from hospital yesterday Emilia is lovely and v good so far tho might not last ??? Mixed feeding so quite a lot of sleep last night.

Stitches and downstairs v v sore but although was terrified of first poo it was ok - didn't dare wipe did the jug thing followed by a shower. Scared shitless after a bath this afternoon however - after went to the loo and passed quite a big clot phoned delivery but they said as long as one off and not also soaking through more than pad pet hour prob ok. Really sore though think the stitches are at the back towards bum - any tips from others welcomed.

Think milk might come in tonight feel on the verge of being emotional.

Fingers crossed for lots of weekend arrivals!

Xx

niamh29 · 25/03/2011 22:09

Update: Mya Grace was born at 19:38 weighing 7lbs 9oz after a 19 hour labour but I got my VBAC so I'm delighted! She is so so beautiful and we are thrilled to bits!

chickiewoo · 25/03/2011 22:22

Quick update from me - only got home from hospital this evening. ELCS went ahead as planned on Wednesday 23rd and our beautiful daughter Imogen Cecilia was born at 11.12 a.m. weighing in at 7lb 3.5 oz Affectionately known as the 'boob monster' she is a good feeder, but struggling to latch on properly, hence my nipples are suffering big time. Will update with birth story when I have 5 mins but wanted to share our news. Would really appreciate someone updating the list for me.

Huge congratulations to all the new arrivals since I've been out of action and good luck for those of you still waiting - your time will come. Lots of love xxxx

mama2plusbump · 26/03/2011 07:25

Congrats all!!!
Brilliant news...good weight too.
Will update the list when i get on the pc if no one else has.
I just got active on this thread as its slowed down was to fast to follow but am i only one left?

Re:stitches just pour water the same time you need to pee will stop any stinging and also get tissue and make it into a roll and when u go for a poo and feel you may rip just hadd a lil pressure you will be fine.

JoJoB77 · 26/03/2011 08:20

Congratulations niamh and chickie!

I'm still here mama2plusbump! I'm the last one on the list and being my first I'm expecting to go over a bit. However, baby will come when he/she is ready I guess!

I'm feeling very heavy (wonder why?!) and cumbersome but still somehow found the energy to paint the hallway yesterday - nesting overload!

I plan to get the house looking as clean as possible today and get lots of washing done so that if baby decides to make an appearance soon then the house will be suitable for guests.

Hope all is well with everyone x

Lozario · 26/03/2011 08:26

Congrats chickiewoo and niamh !! I wonder how emma is getting on...

Jupiter I had similar clot-type things after DS1 - this is almost certainly TMI but I had "ragged membranes" which meant that the bag the baby was in didn't all come out straight after the birth. Found myself pulling chunks of it out of myself up to a week after the birth!! The midwife told me to save some to show her (tuppleware box in the fridge - grim!!) and gave it the ok. Sufficed to say we binned that particular tuppleware...

Well I am just thoroughly fed up. 40 + 3 now but feel as if I'm a month overdue!! Still have my freaky swollen foot, neither resting nor walking seems to help. At least my mum is now staying with us to help me rest up a bit more with crazy DS1 (21 months is a MAD age!!!) but I really thought I wouldn't go over as it's my second so I'm feeling really fed up. Absolutely no signs of anything happening - going to late pregnancy clinic on Monday morning.

Does anyone remember what sleep is? No, me neither!!

pettyprudence · 26/03/2011 08:51

I'm still here too - like jojo I'm not due until the end of the month and again being my first I am 99.9% sure I am going to go over. Waaaaayyyyyyy over (esp as I think my 40 week due date should actually be 4th Aprill). Never thought I would be Envy of people giving birth! Babies head not even remotely engaged yet, no BH, no shows, no signs, nothing [grrr]

JoJoB77 · 26/03/2011 09:12

Petty my original due date was the 3rd of April but was moved back 5 days after the first scan. The new date I was given doesn't work out quite right as I think I would have been on my period so....I'm kind of thinking it might be nearer early April. I think that's why I'm not getting too impatient yet as I'm subconciously thinking it will be later anyway.

Sorry to ramble on, me thinks I'm trying to convince myself more than anything!

emma31177 · 26/03/2011 10:06

hi thanks for asking about me took myself to the hospital yesturday morning
baby fine heart beat ok scan fine water infection making all the pain i never ever new a water infection can be so bad tablets to take till baby comes due on tuesday cant wait had a sweep so hope things start soon slept for the first time in a long time last night bit worried the night before i had my dd i slept all night so hope today will bring some news lol

wish everyone luck whos gone over due and can see this little man being two weeks over knowing my luck but he be worth it in the end

hope everyone has a good weekend xxx

haloflo · 26/03/2011 10:24

I am still here. 40+6.

Huge congrats to chickiewoo and niamh

Feeling a bit better than yesterday. Doctor gave me some hydrocortisone cream for the itchy rash. Not convinced its helping and its now spread to my legs. Sad Olive oil sounds good too mama thanks. Your hospital sounds fab offering reflexology as an alternative induction method. Like you say something to look forward to if baby doesn't arrive sooner.

petty and jojo My original EDD was 23 March but that has passed so not sure what difference it makes? First baby here too & apparently the average is 9 days over for a first born. However you never know - both of you could queue jump me!

emma Glad baby is ok & hope the tablets do the trick.

As for signs, I am still having BH's, occasionally with period pain but this has been a couple of weeks now. I hear that not everyone gets BH and you can still go into labour without ever having one. Sometimes I wish I didn't get them as they are quite uncomfortable.

Hope everyone has something nice planned for today. Its my birthday next weekend so DP and I are off out for lunch to celebrate (next weekend I will no doubt have other things on my mind)

Kagey · 26/03/2011 13:47

I am so tired. Contractions started in earnest yesterday morning and finally became 3mins and lasting 1min by 6. Me and dh hotfooted it to hospital for 8pm and exam showed I had not progressed since Wednesday. 8 1/2 hours later contractions pretty much ground to a halt and I waddled back home at 9am. I am so disappointed and not so confident about the irregular contractions I'm having now.

Congrats Niamh and Chickie!

Lozario · 26/03/2011 15:58

Oh Kagey that's rubbish for you - how frustrating. I hope things speed up for you soon!

Hattie05 · 26/03/2011 21:58

Wow hi everybody, i havn't looked here for a while as been busy enjoying new baby. Congratulations to all the babys born now. Its another world over the otherside! I find it hard to imagine how those of you are coping still waiting. DS is 3 weeks tomorrow, and i said to dp yesterday, i can't actually believe i was pregnant just 3 weeks ago - feel fit as a fiddle now, and can't quite remember the feeling of movements etc inside. Which is a good thing as 4 is quite enough! after dd3 i blubbed at this stage as i thought she'd be our last and i was so emotional at the thought of not being pregnant ever again. At least i now know this is definitely it!

Jupiter - you sound like you had a bad tear? My first left me in the agony you describe. Good advice given to you about holding tissue against you when you poo. Also sit on lots of cushions and rest as much as you can. I think it took a week or two before i started to feel comfortable down below. I sympathise its not nice is it! at least you have your beautiful baby to admire!

LovelyKatie · 27/03/2011 02:15
