Lozario: I've had my sil asking me "any baby yet?" constantly, the thing is she is going to be minding the kids when I go into hospital so she will be the first person to know when I go into labour....wtf???

hi all just a quick update as my eyes are falling shut but my little baby is stuck at my breast whole day and connection cuts off most of the time.

So after updating here that I was at hospital 9am due to them then losing my last blood results and a few EMCS's I finally went into theatre at 5pm.

Zara was born at 17:39 on 21st March weighing 8lb 14oz and three quaters. The amazing thing is its the exact same weight as DD1. she is over the moon as she wanted a sister and we cant believe how alike they look.

congrats to the new arrivals and will.post more once Im home again. good luck to all those waiting. can someone please update the list cos Im on my phone and please just put DD1's age as 3. thanks

Baby jupiter emilia arrived safely last night at 1 min to 8pm at a whopping 9lb 4 which really did smart a bit I can tell you. She is absolutely beautiful and currently snoozing. 2nd degree tear just before spincter (not nice) wouldn't let them even examine me without spinal and ended up with spinal in theatre to get stitched - quite scared it might rly start to hurt shortly and that may never poo again as to scared. Spinal was awesome though wish had had for the birth!!!

I'm 40+3 today too and have an antenatal appointment this morning, where I guess they will offer a sweep and start discussing what would happen over the next week or so if baby has not decided to make an appearance. I had more strong pesky braxton hicks last night and thought it was it. When I laid down, they disappeared .

Not heard from catherine for a couple of days so I reckon she's having hers as we speak...

Morning girls, apologies for not keeping up. Congrats to all new arrivals. My beautiful baby boy Haaris was born Saturday 19 march at 20.18pm weighing 8 lbs 8 , born naturally . We are both doing well now. Update later for birth story.

I think I will head into town today due to the lovely weather. Has anyone any advice about what to buy to aid recovery down there whether it be swelling, grazing or stitches. Have read about lavender oil, witch hazel, tea tree oil and arnica but have no idea what to get or what to do with them? Any advice appreciated.

Congrats Gem and Catherine!!

Haloflo we are now the only ones left for 20th March; no pressure!! The appointment went ok, I was offered a sweep and decided to take them up on the offer. They said they would let me go to 12 days before induction or c-section, but because of being 3cm dilated and 80% effaced they thought they this would not be necessary and that labour should begin within 72 hours. With DD, after the second sweep, the cervix was favourable and I went into labour 2 days later (2 days before induction date). I've got another antenatal appointment for next Wednesday and then decide when I would potentially go in to be induced. Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow x.

Hi everyone, congratulations to everyone who has had babies whilst I have been away, am still in hopsital so it's difficult to post, though good news is Ethan is back with me on the postnatal ward he came back yesterday. His latest blood results are looking good so we should be coming home tomorrow. I can't wait a week in hospital is no fun I'm so sleep deprived as there;s so much noise.

Am super tired, as most of you will be. Apologies for not posting often, I just don't have the energy to think of anything sensible to say! Had a few problems following c section but they're hopefully getting sorted now. Will update on the PN thread as soon as I can.

Well that 'imminent feeling' has come and gone and now feel just, well, normal. What's that all about? Saying that I was close to being sick (sorry) last night when I went to bed, and then proceeded to have the worst nights sleep, or more lack of, for a long while. I'm like a zombie this morning and it's all I can manage to type on here at the mo.

I have midwife check later this afternoon so am interested to see what she says. I'm 39+1 today.

Sorry for the moany post, the sun is out here and so I'm going to make the most and get some vit d into my body.

CONGRATS to Gem and catherine, that's great news! I will try to update the list after this post.

My due date was yesterday and I was convinced s/he would arrive on time, but no! Don't know why I thought that because DS1 was born at 41 + 5, 2 days away from induction! I've got quite an early "late clinic" appt though, on Monday when I'm not even a week over, so hopefully another sweep there if necessary will do the trick. I didn't have to be induced with DS1 so I was really hopeful I wouldn't be with this one but am going to have to start getting my head around another nearly 2 weeks of this HELL - Never. Again!!!!!! So JoJoB77 don't worry about moaning, I feel like every time I open my mouth I'm moaning now!!!

The good news is that my mum is now staying up until the baby is born and then for the first week - she has just taken DS1 to the park so I can get on with the things I needed to do quietly (like mn, obv...!)

haloflo a quick word about recovery down there - I had an episiotomy and stitches with DS1 which got infected so I needed antibiotics; the best advice I had for recovery after that was to really carefully splash water on the area to clean it after the loo etc, and then dry with a hair dryer. Really!! Because the heat helps the circulation and healing process. I recovered very quickly after doing that. My priority this time is to make sure I recover from the birth properly - last time I didn't give myself a chance, was too busy trying to prove I could cope with everything straight away and it was stupid, because who can after all that??! Anyway I hope that helps.

Congratulations to Catherine, Jupiter, gem and Eva, delighted for ye all, another round of girls!

I'm just back from an appointment, baby is fine and head is well down, I'm 40+2 and I'm booked in Friday week to see if they can break my waters and if nothing happens from that I'll have a section, which means I could be waiting another 9-10 days before I get to meet baby. I'm also feeling crap, have sore throat and cough and I'm exhausted cause I'm not sleeping well. I am really depressed now at the thought of going till the end of next week without baby and I cried the whole way home from the apt, I'm sure the tiredness is making me so emotional but am just really ready to not be pregnant any more, I feel like the longer I go the worse I am feeling.

While doing the scan today the doc said she was looking for a pocket of fluid to check fluid levels but she couldn't find it, she said it wasn't anything to worry about but of course now I'm worried, does anyone else know anything about this?

me23 Glad you and Ethan are together again, that must be a relief. Hope you get home soon too.

niamh You poor thing, sounds like everything is getting on top of you. Your baby will be here soon, hopefully no more than 8 days away. I believe I will also be induced a week Friday if no baby before then. We WILL get these babies out before then though - there is lots of time. I have no idea about fluid levels. Hope someone more knowledgeable comes along although I'm sure they wouldn't let you leave if they were worried about anything.

lozario Who knew that about hair dryers!? Thank you though. I will try not to do too much at first too although I'm so used to be capable I know I will find it hard. Hope you are enjoying a quiet morning.

kagey Sounds like I will be the last of us due 20/03/11! Fingers crossed your MW is right and you will go into labour soon. I am having a sweep at home on Sunday, at 41 weeks when they will also discuss induction at 12 days over. Am a little disappointed I didn't get one today but also kind of relieved as the though doesn't exactly fill me with excitement.

It's very quiet on here, I hope that is a good sign and there will be heaps of new announcements later and tomorrow. Nothing to report here, just lots of sharp pains in lower bump, but not feeling like contractions.

Oh well there is always tomorrow, the weekend, next week..... :)

For those of you dreading the postnatal poo I have a top tip.
Eat some Jerusalem Artechokes. Be warned they are somewhat windy, particuarly if you haven't had them before so probably not great if you have had a CS.

Another tip for afterwards is to eat a good fibre rich breakfast every day like weetabix and orange juice to help prevent constipation in the days following the birth and to help with the first few poos which can be tough!

I'm up still with pains but we'll have to see if anything comes of it.......

am up to with pains but not sure if it is my water infection pain or the baby coming not sure when to ring hospital i keep saying half hour lol i hope baby comes soon cant wait to hold him so had enough of being preg now ,,,,,,,
