Well officially one day overdue now and still no sign of baby. I read a few posts and some of you describe how you have an overwhelming need to use the loo but then nothing happens. I have been like that since early evening yesterday. Hopefully it might be a start. But will definitely have my baby via c-section on Monday.

Hi all just updating from hospital had baby Ethan on 18th march at 10pm weighing 6lb 10oz he certainly kept us waiting after waters went!

Congratulations me! Really hoping that your energy levels pick up a bit now that the strain of pregnancy is over (though obviously caring for a newborn tiredness will now hit!).

Congratulations Coral and Me! Thinking of those of you high up on the due date list who still haven't posted. I know a few are lurkers and a few have probably forgotten about us but some are regulars who I hope aren't kept waiting for much longer!! I'm due tomorrow and am totally miserable so I have no idea how those that are 9 days overdue are coping. LO and I made a deal last night - she either came out last night or I won the lottery - I won a whole £7.20 so I guess that means she has permission to stay put another few days... :(

Well we are settling down nicely, aside from the mayhem of in-laws and friends and family all visiting. Should hopefully be able to get started on some sort of routine from Monday.

My beautiful baby Bethany is just such a delight, I feel like a first time mum again, and had forgotten about the highs and lows of the first few days, the 'baby blues' and sometimes I sob for no real reason. Couldnt watch Comic Relief last night I would've been a blubbering mess!

Went to a local NCT sale today and splurged on lots of lovely newborn pink clothes, and remembered retail therapy is wonderful lol!

Best of luck to all you overdue and due ladies, I went 5 days over, but it all suddenly seems so insignificant when you finally get to meet LO.

Will keep checking in for new arrivals.

Baby Millie born at 2:50 this morning, 9lbs! Well I was 6 days over. Labour was under 2 hours and just made it to hospital. Pain relief would have been good but no time - although I just found time to bite part of the gas and air tube! Stitches took longer than the pushing of course :-(

Back home to an over excited 3 year old. Yey.

Catherine as one of your due date buddies, I can help out by being overdue with you - dd was 12 days late and it felt like an eternity with well-meaning friends and family asking 'any news yet'. It drove me potty!

I'm hoping it doesn't come to that Kagey :)

Hoping early labour is starting here but since its my first it could be wishful thinking a false alarm.

Had frequent BH all day today and although they never hurt they have been more uncomfortable. Before my OH left for work I asked him to get my hospital bag from the car so I had my TENS machine and antenatal notes in the flat with me because my back pain didn't feel normal. I suffer with back pain anyway but this feels different, its not in the normal place I feel it. It is also quite persistent. Also getting slight period cramps but they come and go. I think the BH are still that as they don't seem to be coming in regular intervals just randomly so maybe this could keep going for ages. [TMI INCOMING] Feeling constipated too even though my bowels have been loose for days.

Will see, either way I still think there's a long way to go.

Even though I am not due till Tuesday I just feel like this baby is never coming, with both my other two I had an end date (was induced after a week with DD1 and had cs on due date with DD2) so I've never started labour at home and I just dont feel like it's going to happen, I can
Imagine me going over and needing another cs but I hate going over cause I get quite anxious about the baby for some reason, maybe I'm just going crazy from waiting, anyone else feeling anything similar???

Hello folks,
I was was suspecting that mine had plans to go to 42 weeks and share a birthday with Daddy! But not so.
Will post more but Micheal Charles George came into this world at 23.41 yesterday after having been in active labour for about 14 hrs. It really hurt but avoided a hospital transfer. Now have a sore throat from all that yelling.
He is a big boy - 700g heavier than his big brother (least by our standards).
He was 3.8kgs which I think is around 7lb12?
Seems being 40+9 done him no harm at all.

Congratulations Geeklove and Gemma! Active labour for 14 hours? That is scary!

Happy due date to Kagey and Haloflo, my due date buddies :) Was getting rather excited about the arrival of LO last night (more like this morning) as the contractions (even though not really strong) were stronger than usual and coming regularly every 20 minutes. I then managed to fall asleep and have woke up this morning with nothing - no signs at all :( Think my body was just practising. Now though I am shattered. Had to get up because I was so hungry but I think I will go back to bed within the hour after my food has settled.

Here's hoping for more baby news today!

Fingers crossed for you all.

I am feeling much happier today after a visit from a lovely community midwife who reassured me that breastfeeding is going well, jaundice has gone and my stitches are healing perfectly.
So much difference just to have someone in the know give you the all clear.

Glad to hear some overdue babies are arriving. Congrats to gemma and geeklove. Sittinghippo - not sure if i've said congrats to you so I will say it now. Glad things are going well with your DD.

Nothing happening here - had "signs" for days now, increased BH, period pain, loose bowels but nothing regular. Am ok going over though. I get to enjoy a few more days as a couple with my DP and rest some more. This baby will come when its ready. This postive attitude might fade as the week goes on and next weekend I will not doubt be begging LO to make an appearance.

Catherine Hope your warm up turns into something real soon.

Kagey Hope this one doesn't keep you waiting as long as DD.
