Congrats to Nowpanic, Strangeways, Pushme, Niknan, and Purplefan.

Also congrats to 1Catherine1 for starting maternity leave - I salute you for staying on that long. I started mat leave at 37 weeks last time and I thought that was bad enough :) .

Lots of twinges last night which were freaking out DH, but I think it was more due to a combination of BH's and my poor bladder having no space whatsoever.

My Mum has gone overseas for 10 days (booked pre BFP) and so rather than hoping baby arrives now, I will be quite happy to hang on inside until 23rd March. However, I am fit to burst.

Happy due date to Zafnoodles.

Congratulations to all the new mummies!

I had a swab done for strep B last week and it's come back negative...however the shropshire protocol is that once it's been detected you have to have anti b's in labour - my doctor is in Worcestershire so it's all very conflicting! All very strange, but I'm just going with what the midwives say, it's all I can do!

I've also been told I have thrush, lovely. Didn't have any major symptoms, definitely not the horrible ones that is assocaited with it, but I've got canesten to treat it all the same.

Other than that, I'm feeling good! Baby is 1/5th's engaged (I hope I've got that right) so is making it's way down. I'm having uncomfortable nights but that is to be expected with the weight!

Hello all and congratulations to the new arrivals!

Just a post to let you know that I had a baby girl on Friday (11.3.11), weighing 8lb 1oz.

Came home from hospital yesterday, feeding going well so far, she's having a nap whilst I catch up with the world!

Good luck to everyone waiting keenly to have their babies, lots of love to the other new mums and babies

Evian many congrats! Looking forward to the birth story! I don't know where the postnatal thread is - was going to ask that myself, not because my baby has been born (no such luck!) but just so I know when it has! Maybe someone could add the link to the bottom of the list?

Toddler group was hellish this morning. Why can't 2 year olds just share?! Hahahaha that's a good one!! DS1 is in bed now, shattered, unsurprisingly as he woke at 5.45 this morning. SO unimpressed... normally we get at least 7am out of him, but his sleep is a bit up the spout at the moment for some reason. Great timing??!

No signs here, still not sleeping or eating much and am retching every morning again now. Pregnancy is so wonderful...!!!

Hi all and congrats for new LOs.

We had our little boy on Thursday 10th quite quick in the end. Started feeling contractions at 6ish but didn't hurt till 9ish when got the tens machine out. Left home at 10pm and midwife in the assessment area didn't believe I was in established labour as I was smiling! Examined me at 10.30 when I was 6cm and baby Oliver born 50 minutes later in the water pool after just 3 pushes! So different from first two labours and felt scarily quick! I was home tucked up in bed with olly 3 hours after his birth!
Ds1 and ds2 are delighted and want to hold him all the time (but that might be because olly "bought" them both buzz lightyears)!!!

Oh dear Doubleshotlatte, I'm sorry to hear about your DDs illness. Hopefully when DD is feeling better and with losing plug things will start again without needing to go for induction.

Congrats on all your good news! Niknan, that sounds fast! I am strep B too, how did they give your baby the ABs?

Afternoon all, congrats on the new arrivals - there are so many of them now. :)

Well I have had a productive first day of ML, vets-bank-trip to the large mothercare that is an hour away. Bought some lovely nursing tops (they were a bargain on buy 2 get 1 free if anyone is interested). Also bought 2 nursing bras and 2 sleep bras. The woman measured me and told me that you usually go down a back size and up a cup size - does this sound right to you ladies? I wasn't convinced myself so I'm keeping the receipt and will send the OH back with them if she turns out to be wrong. Since it is only 3:15pm I still have time to be even more productive before everywhere closes and then I have my final NCT class this evening. Such a busy day but it has been rather relaxing too as I could go at my own pace.

Just popping in to say congrats to the new arrivals.

I probably dont have anything very constructive to say since I am now 8 days OD and have MW tomorrow for another sweep then inductionlikely to be booked for Wed/Thur which I am comfy with now but still pretty miserable

Have been having all kinds of aches pains twinges etc since Saturday night but no baby.

Since I am currently a boradly miserable bint I will say take care ladies and will keep up and at least by the end of this week I will have a baby reagrdless.

Congrats to all the new arrivals and sympathies to the impatient amongs us.

v v v lazy day today - been having bloody show type discharge since Saturday (brown, white now pink) and increasing pressure downstairs and worsening cramps - no pattern to them though so don't know what to think???

Have resorted to watching neighbours oh dear

Honeymoonmummy - They gave her the antibiotics via a cannula in her hand. She was injected every 12 hours for 48 hours! She then had to have a splint on her arm so poor thing looked very pitiful and kept bashing herself on the head with it. You cannot tell now that she has had anything done, no marks etc. Hope all goes well for you.

A belated congratulations to all the new arrivals, as well as a very late announcement about the arrival of our son!

Franz Zaven was born last Wed the 9th of March, and I'm in love! :)

C-section recovery and BF started off well the first 2 days, but am desperately struggling now with the BF and our house is in chaos with the upcoming move on Friday so am barely able to go online (plus internet will be cut temporarily in 2 days!), though look forward to visiting everyone on the post thread next week!

In the meantime, continue to enjoy your pregnancies, MatLeaves, and new babies!!!

Just wanted to update - we did move back to Australia. And waters broke 4 weeks early - but kept on going (no contractions). Baby induced at 37 weeks. Emergency c-section under general, but baby girl born healthy at 5lb 4oz.

I'm now 11 days overdue!
Have some hope that something might at last be starting to slowly happen though - I had bloody discharge this morning and mild pains coming every 10 mins for a couple of hours, although they seem to have stopped again now. That's the first time any signs of anything at all though so am quite encouraged.
Seeing midwife this afternoon too, unless this turns into full-blown labour before then...
