Londoner - had thought of Gaviscon but really didnt fancy the minty one, was trying to find the aniseed but i keep forgetting to buy some, seems i only remember that i need it at 3am when i wake up with the heartburn! Think i'll blame it on baby brain

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 13:02

oh and I forgot to say, my midwife prescribed me some milky medicine for heartburn and it really works..I'll try to remember what it's called...

sarahsausage · 25/10/2005 13:05

oooooo you can get it on perscription??

Londoner · 25/10/2005 13:10

bob, OOh, I've heard the new Greenwich cinema is great, what are you going to see? Oh, and where are you going to have dinner? How lovely. LOL about turning up looking like a tramp, no way jose, we'll knock-em dead instead! BTW, sounds like your baby is having a rest after all that activity tonight?
sarah, sounds like a good idea to get it on prescription like bob says... can you ring & get a prescription over the phone? Some practices do this...

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 13:11

yes!, it's really good too..and i was glad as I hate gaviscons and the likes..i can't find the damn thing though, but will tell you what it's called when i do!

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 13:16

it's called magnesium trisilicate
don't ask me how to pronounce that..hehehee

we are going to sea corpse bride or broken flowers..can't decide! i've heard the cinema is quite posh..and they have a smoothie bar! yum!

can't decide on dinner either..dp wanted noodle time as he loves it, but we decided somewhere posher as noodle time can be left for when we have a baby in tow!hehee
I really like the high chapparel, but mainly because of the bunk tables, and I can't see myself climbing up and down a ladder at the moment1 heee
so it will be either the fish restaurant near the covered market or the north pole, or the new grill place by the park entrance..
decisions decisions...

sarahsausage · 25/10/2005 13:19

Thanks Bob! and thanks Londoner, will ring and see if i can do it over the phone, will be handy as i have to pick up a perscription for my iron this week anyways.

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 13:23

londoner - we will look great! Jeans with a posh top and jewellry sounds good.
I don't have any jeans, don't ask me how i have survived so long without them! In fact I haven't worn trousers for 5 months now....
argh, what to wear...

Londoner · 25/10/2005 13:24

LOL bob, I was thinking was it the movie or trendy new restaurant called 'magnesium trisilicate' at first! ha ha ha!
My son went to see Corpse Bride and enjoyed it, haven't been to see anything myself though so can't recommend I'm afraid. MMM, smoothie bar eh, sounds promising, hopefully they'll have lovely big squashy comfy new chairs too? As for restaurants, they do all sound good, but again, gosh I must sound so sad, we don't eat out much these days so I can't help you with your decision... I'm saying it's definitely your call though. Looks like if the theatre gets through in time we'll go for a meal in town... dh has his eyes on a new greek place, v. authentic on the river nr London Bridge... can't wait!

Londoner · 25/10/2005 13:32

Gosh bob, don't know what I'd do without trousers in my life... what are your choices?
LOL sarah, must confess my confusion at your iron prescription..... I was nodding in agreement as my iron just packed up this morning, ha ha ha, 'til it dawned on me you meant your iron 'levels', der! lol lol! Told my husband it didn't really matter anyway as we'll have a new baby soon instead & wouldn't be needing an iron for quite some time.....

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 13:32

ooooh Greek food...yum...
everytime we go to a greek restaurant i can't resist ordering breaded and deep fried feta...I can eat a whole block myself....and deep fried calamari...mmmm
ooh i'm hungry now...
i've got some healthy carrot and coriander soup for lunch that I made last night...

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 13:35

well, i have a load of nice skirts, but only overstretched vest tops and jumpers to go with them!heeee...
i have a couple of dresses I can still get into though...
hmm

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 13:36

oh..and lol loads at you thinking that was the film or restaurant...teeheeeee

sarahsausage · 25/10/2005 13:41

PMSL londoner!!!!! Blame it on the baby brain, wont be able to get away with that much longer though!

Londoner · 25/10/2005 13:42

Wow bob, sound lovely & elegant outfit choices... I'm sure they don't look over-stretched when you're wearing them as they fit snugly once on? Lets concentrate on eyes & lips anyway, get those right & we're 80% there.
BTW your home made soup sounds impressive, wow!
Right, really must help my daughter do her quilting, before any more Kapok stuffing goes up my/her nose!

Have fun tonight!

Londoner · 25/10/2005 13:44

Thanks sarah!

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 13:45

he he - the soup isn't too impressive, just boiled baby carrots chucked into the blender with fresh coriander and seasoning...
very easy! teehee

sarahsausage · 25/10/2005 13:49

Bob- that sounds lovely! will put carrots etc on shopping list and try that at the weekend when dp gets home. Will be a nice surprise for him as we never seem to try new things, just the same meals week in week out.

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 14:07

It is yummy- our smoothie maker was the best buy ever! we can make ice creamey milkshakes and smoothies in summer, and soup in winter...there's nothing better than hot soup when it's freezing!
Plus we are going to use it to make baby food when the time arrives...
if you make it, make sure you boil the carrots until they are really really soft, and if it looks a bit thick throw in a bit of veg stock - hope you like it!

dp's favourite is veg chilli soup, using tomatoes, peppers, kidney beans, rice and fresh chillis...

yum yum

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 14:21

the baby has started kicking me again with a vengance!
I'm relieved...but it bloody hurts now he's so big!

sarahsausage · 25/10/2005 14:29

lol, at least you know everything is as it should be!

Must go do housework, haven't done anything today, just finding it hard to locate some "get up and go" today.

Maybe a walk to the shop for a choccie bar will motivate me?

Busyalexsmummy · 25/10/2005 16:00

Hullo, brilliant news, had a letter from IR-theyve changed their minds again about the tax and are now saying we dont have to pay any(god-do they ever make their minds up??) and that the case is closed-hoorah! Alot of stress over nothing!

Just sat here enjoying a couple of hrs peace and quite whilst ds is having a nap!

Getting quite nervous/excited about cons appt on friday(will be making sure I go to the right hospital in the right town this time
Am worried about how big hes going to tell me it is though, hope its not too massive

Do you think if I asked him to do an internal he would??
I would really like to know wether anything is going on down there or wether everythings still tightly closed

Couldnt believe that prog on 5 last night-having a baby ruined my life, seems some people just dont think in real terms what its actually like to have children-what did they think it was going to be like FGS? an angelic child and bed of roses 24/7 ??lol Thought it was beyond shocking that the first couple with the 4 yr old were talking about him like that whilst he was sat right there, at 4yrs they take alot in ffs and I bet he understood some of what they were saying, how nice to know your not wanted at 4yrs old -sorry rant over but it p*sses me off with people like that. I would hate to have parents like them anyhow, they seemed incredibly boring.

Jenjam- at your hassle your having with them, what a sh*te customer service

twinkle-hope you have some luck with the sec date-cant you go higher and speak to her supervisor/a consultant?

well, havent got much to say, apart from I bloomin well hope I get more sleep tonight than last night(especially after being elbowed in the mouth by dp in his sleep)

babyonboard · 25/10/2005 16:32

Thats great news busy! You must be really relieved.
I am also going to ask for an internal this week...can't believe I'd ever ask to go through that! heeeeheee. I don't know if the midwife will agree just for curiosities sake...

i'm just the same as sarah...stuff to do, but feeling too lazy...argh...
