Scorpette · 14/03/2011 21:23

I cannot believe that the larger lady's partner on OBEM said 'You don't have to go through what I will' without any irony! Shock Angry

Muser · 14/03/2011 21:28

I am quite jealous of young girl's bump, but maybe not enormous baby.

Scorpette · 14/03/2011 21:30

I guess I answered your qu, Muse :)

Rocket, why are we not stalking each other on Twitter?

PS Am I bad that the guy being on methodone is twitching my judgypants?

rocketleaf · 14/03/2011 21:31

Goodness her bump is very large!!! I am watching and TB is with me. I wonder how much longer for. :o

Muser · 14/03/2011 21:33

He seems quite a good guy though, hopefully he's sorting his life out. He's actually one of the more supportive blokes that have been on this.

Muser · 14/03/2011 21:40

I am judgey about bloke not going into theatre with his partner.

rocketleaf · 14/03/2011 21:44

Yeah me too meds far more judgy about him than methadone guy. Which is weird i suppose.

score my twitter feed is very boring. I don't use it much except for crafty things and then not much.

Scorpette · 14/03/2011 21:53

I am also much more judgey about the timid bloke not going into theatre. Like his nerves count more than her needs! Although he does seem otherwise loving, I bet he is bloody Hard Work and predict he will not take well to not being centre of her world now baby is here. TYF might be anxious and shy but he's not in any way selfish or self-obsessed!

Aw, he clearly loves his wife and new son, though.

Meth Man is actually very sweet (although he can't even prepare oven chips for himself - WTF?!). Her bump is making mine look positively petite!

Muser · 14/03/2011 21:55

4 days in hospital! Man I was lucky.

rocketleaf · 14/03/2011 21:58

I know! And how awful she had to go through all that when the MW knew she would have a CS in the end. Very cute baby tho!!

Scorpette · 14/03/2011 22:02

Tiffany?! Jesus wept.

God, it was all about Nervy Man, wasn't it? Making everyone wait whilst HE announces the name, then baby's named after his dad! Dislike.

rocketleaf · 14/03/2011 22:06

Yeah she does the work and he chooses the name? Hmm not on my watch sunshine.

Medee · 14/03/2011 22:21

mmm, lots of judgeypants in that episode, I was quite vocal at the telly!

OP posts:
Scorpette · 14/03/2011 22:38

Are judgeypants good for bringing on labour, Meds? Grin

HighPriestessBoo · 14/03/2011 23:53

I thought he just announced the name - she seemed to know all about it?

Anyone think that Tiffany's Mum looked like Billie Piper? :o

It might have been that she wanted to try and have a natural birth Rocket, I think the young person's midwives seem very respectful so would imagine that they would have discussed her options and she would have made her own choice. I loved her happy smile when she saw her daughter, 4 days of tiredness and work all worth it for that special moment. Sob. Night night from your resident sap :)

HighPriestessBoo · 14/03/2011 23:59

Completely forgot to congratulate you on boylet, Owlet. Baby boys make me go all scrunchy. Am very happy for you :)

rocketleaf · 15/03/2011 08:45

Yes thats true boo I didn't mean it was anyones fault, just harsh that she had to go through all that, when it seemed pretty inevitable. Both of those midwives seemed very lovely and they obviously had a really great rapport with both her and her fella. I am reading the book you lent me at the mo and I noticed how much time she spent lying down. I wonder if she had got up and moved around more in the first few days if things would have progressed more, mind you she was big baby so who knows. Bless her tho, she did look so happy in the end and I was glad to hear things had improved with her folks.

medee what news this morning? Gissa update.

Orchid12 · 15/03/2011 09:33

yes Medee any updates? We need some action round these parts please Smile.

I thought Tiffany's mum was very pretty! I felt for her and the tension between her parents and her partner obviously put her in a difficult position. I have to say though, it she were my daughter I can understand the parents not being overwhelmed with the news. That said, her partner did say he was making changes to his life, so you can only hope that he does put his life in order and live up to his responsibilities.

Do we know how many more episodes we have to go? I'm quite getting into it now and every time I see it I get more excited about having squidge. As Boo says that first moment when you get to meet your baby is something so special (sorry, another resident sap her too!). Will try to HTFU immediately!

owlbooty · 15/03/2011 09:46

OMG! Mr Boots watched OBEM without me. I went to bed at 9 last night as was completely fooked from all the stressing. I have not slept though

Rocketsocks those min socklets are gorgeous and I shall be purchasing them immediately. SQUEEEEEE!

Bites hope all goes well at scan today and MiniMcBiterson behaves.

owlbooty · 15/03/2011 09:50

Also, yes, I am getting mega-hot at night and shall be sleeping in the spare room tonight as otherwise I am going to go sleep-deprived mental.

Orchid12 · 15/03/2011 09:57

Oh yes, good luck today Bitey!

Forgot to say that I got mega excited yesterday as all your talk of names prompted me into action and I think we have now settled on a name for squidge Grin. First name was pretty much agreed anyway, but second name I wanted to be from a grandparent from my side of the family (we used a name from Mr O's side for mini O). The only real option we had I wasn't too sure about, but I have since found out there is an Irish version that goes very well with the first name. I am super excited as it means we keep the family link and we make reference to the fact that my dad's side of the family are Irish (my madien name is a traditional Irish surname). Mr O likes it too so we may now have a name - yippee.

LadyGoneGaga · 15/03/2011 10:08

Good luck today, Bitey.

Fab you have a name, Orchid. Sounds like you've got the right one all round.

I enjoyed OBEM last night - she was very mature for her age, bless her. The baby was gorgeous! I also got my judgy pants on about bloke refusing to go to theatre. Idiot - fancy missing your own child being born. And I DID NOT like the boys names at all.

Am feeling grr again as frigging boiler has again broken down. Had to shower at work again this morning. Same bloody thing - and have just been billed for £260 which is NOT going to be paid until they've sorted the bloody thing out.

How is Medee this morning?

rocketleaf · 15/03/2011 10:09

Ah thats lovely orchid!! You sound super excited :o It's great when things fall into place. I am still keeping an open mind but I have started tot hink of Sprout as the name that is top of the list now. It's kind of nice!

Oh can't wait for biteys scan news. booty did you get a nice clear picture yesterday? are you going to supplement your piss stick collection at all so we can have a stalk look?

TB watched the whole of OBEM with me yesterday, in fact it was he who switched it on. He has been saying he didn't 'need' to watch it as he is just going to wing it when the time came. I said I'd feel more comfortable if he was as prepared as possible so think he is just doing it to keep me quiet :o Thing is I know he says stuff like that but will secretly be googling all sorts of things in wrk so he can swot up.

owlbooty · 15/03/2011 10:35

Not the clearest of pics, rocket , as the little darling appeared to be tap-dancing in there. Grin

Orchs hoorah for the name! Makes it seem all a bit more real, doesn't it?

GG damn right they shouldn't get paid - we've just been quoted £6k for some new radiators and a new boiler as ours is about to blow up. I cannot believe how much these people charge. Wtf will I have left to buy tiny socks with??

HighPriestessBoo · 15/03/2011 10:50

Buy your tiny socks from Tescos Wiseowl, they're cheaper. I used to lose them in the wash all the time. I had (and still have) a drawer section for miniboo's socks and a section for single socks waiting to be reunited with their partners. It happens with mine and MrBoo's socks too (I think it's a worldwide phenomenon iinit, like biros?), but it's so much worse with tiny ones!
