Ivegotmrbitey · 28/02/2011 09:33

Morning all! Another nice thing for free (for ipods and i phones) is the baby centre app. It has videos of what is going on in the womble over the course of the 40 weeks and is lovely made me cry again

I love Mamas & Papas loz, they have the nicest toilets of all the baybee shops (says the woman with no bladdder) and I spotted the nursing room in there yesterday - a lovely quiet room with a super comfy chair, completely seperate to the changing station for those who need to feed their baybees on the run. Was so nice I might go and live there when the childofbitey is born, they even have a costa coffee next door Smile

Sorry to hear the germs got you saladdressing, hope you feel better soon. I am also fretting over feline (in my case) baybee substitute - mine is listless and off his food.

LadyGoneGaga · 28/02/2011 10:12

Hope everyone ok today? Sorry to hear bout the feline ailments. Wait til baybees are born though - you won't even notice when your furry baybee are ill unless they are puking everywhere and generally being a nuisance

Got Differs yoga today - first session. Have just heard that there are 4 or 5 women from work on that session! Woman who runs it is my boss's wife...but she's very nice and I went to her classes when was having MiniG too.

4 days til my 20 week scan! And Centre Parcs next week so only 4 more work days.

I have rubbish phone so no iPhone app possibilities, Bitey. But contract up for renewal. Considering an iphone but is it madness to take on big contract prior to maternity leave? And is it worth getting an iphone 4 or will a 3 do?

Ivegotmrbitey · 28/02/2011 10:37

I have got an ipod touch gaga which I think does the same as the iphone 3 (without being a phone) as long as there is wifi about and I luff it very much. The FDH has an iphone 3 and thinks it's fabby but now wants a 4, possibly because he is go-go gadget boy and always wants the latest thing.

I am regretting my phone contract as is £25 a month for blackberry but have another 18 months on the contract so am just going to have to suffer that one!

I am feeling pretty pleased with myself as I have just paid off the only credit card I am paying interest on in full today! And I am on target to pay off a 0% one by May. That just leaves a small fortune on the third one that I have filed in my mind under "scary" but is also happily interest free for another year. Not exactly saving for the baybee's arrival but hopefully will mean that what moeny does come in doesn't go straight out on old debts. The reason for being suddenly so flush? Haven't being buying wine, gin and fags Blush

rocketleaf · 28/02/2011 10:53

depends if you can wangle an iphone 3 for free. the way i did it was to buy my iphone outright. and then negotiate a really low contract (£20 month) with no tie in so that I can sell the phone and get out of the contract if i decide its too expensive and it actually works out cheaper if you add up the extra you would pay over an 18 month contract. You could prob get a 2nd hand or recon 3 for fairly cheap. and you would be spending the bulk of the expense while you are still working.

i think it will be brilliant for surfing and MNing once the baby is born.

turns out cat has a fighting injury, nowt some antibiotics and a 24 hr lockdown wont cure :o

those bags look lovely milano i really like the ones with the eggy print on.

Ivegotmrbitey · 28/02/2011 11:34

They are lovely milano I would like the blue and green one. The hepburn one also very nice and practical too

Medee · 28/02/2011 11:43

Morning lovely ladies, it is a beautiful day here and I am in my PJs!

OP posts:
milanomum · 28/02/2011 11:51

Rocket If you bring littleleaf up anything like your Christianbalecat then you won't have anything to worry about Wink

Ladynearly20weeks how exciting! mine isn't until the end of March...aaaages away. But doppler has been keeping me sane happy anyway.

I have no idea about iphones as I have always had a generallycrappyphone. If I could surf the net all the time I'd prob forget to get dressed in the morning so it's not a bad thing really.

Those bags are lovely, aren't they. Way, way beyond my budget though

rocketleaf · 28/02/2011 11:58

Sorry ladycakes got distracted by iPhone advice and forgot to comment on the much more importnant event of your 20 week scan! Is very excitibg!!! Ate you going to find out the flava?

I am now installed with blanky on sofa with honey&lemon hot drink and The Promise, then have 2 hours of Mitchell to watch. Happy days!

owlbooty · 28/02/2011 12:04

Oooh, LadyG 4 days :) That has come round so quickly. Have you seen any more movement from the outside or was that a one-off extra hard boot? I am a little bit behind you as mine is 2 weeks today (thus queue-jumping Milano , sorry)

If all goes to plan then Operation Shopping can commence.

Have fun at the differs' yoga - tis such a lovely thing to do, very relaxing. I am enjoying the differs' pilates classes and there are now some people there who are thinner than I am so that is also nice.

laurielou · 28/02/2011 12:41

Ooh, Lady 20 week scan. Yeah, are you going to find out flava?

Aries Well, we're actually staying in Bude (N Devon, I believe?) but are planning day trips to Looe, Padstow & wherever else takes our fancy. We did the same last year & LOVED it. Though we won't be there for a full week this time Sad

Medee I am uber jealous of your PJ wearing laziness. How lovely.

Rocket I hope your cold didn't ruin your homecoming in any way.

I've just nearly cried but in a nice way. I work in a fairly male dominated office. One senior guy just collared me & was a bit embarrassed, but said "You know we'll be having a collection for you - is there something you particularly want, or vouchers for a particular shop or something........... Sorry to be so direct". Ah, I'd far rather that than end up with something utterly useless. How fantabulous!

Medee · 28/02/2011 12:45

aw, that's lovely.

OP posts:
Ivegotmrbitey · 28/02/2011 13:11

Sorry gaga also got distracted by shiney iphones and ignored the 20 week scan news Blush Is very exciting but is it me or is the half way point approaching far faster than expected? I fully expect to eat my words during the heatwave forecast to hit for months seven and eight of diffment!

Are you going to find what flava? Did you on miniG?

That is lovely loz, did they frown when you asked for agent provocateur vouchers?

medee hope you are enjoying your day of busily doing nothing?

rocket a blanky is the only solution some times! Get well soon Smile

rocketleaf · 28/02/2011 13:19

That's dead sweet loulou hope you get something good!!

Home coming was lovely despite me feeling a bit ropey. Was a feeling a bit upset so just got loads of cuddles and TB was all excitable and singing to the bump and generally being a massive goof to cheer me up :)

Your Trip to cornwall sounds lovely. Used to spend a lot of time in Padstow as a kid before it got ruined rick stienified. And weirdly so did TB. Havent been for years as it's so far from the NW and the lakes are so near!

Muser · 28/02/2011 14:26

Good luck with the 20 week scan GG. How exciting!

Jealous of holidays. I would like one of those.

So, how's the top of the list looking? Any early lays? I want some more joiners pls too. We need some BFPs.

laurielou · 28/02/2011 14:26

Ahhh, TB sounds cute Rocket. A little mad mebbe....

Padstow is very Rick Stienified. But a friend has told me about a very lubberly little tapas place in one of the side streets, so we intend to go in search of that & stick 2 fingers up to Rick. Helps that neither Mr Loz or myself like fish anyway....

I did think after I should've asked for some spa vouchers or something Grin. But I was quite taken aback & didn't really want to add to his embarrassment. Am I being mean to wanting the vouchers but not the whole office crowding around my desk waiting for me to say somethng witty / profound?

Ivegotmrbitey · 28/02/2011 14:30

Not at all loz, can you bring cake with you on voucher day? Always a good distraction!

By the way, now that I am diffed, I look like this . Quite the transformation what?

laurielou · 28/02/2011 14:30

Muse just because you've graduated from the not list doesn't mean you can scare the BeJesus out of those fast approaching the top Grin. Hush now.

How's tricks anyhoo? Lots of lubberly suffling?

Medee · 28/02/2011 14:50

That's funny, that's exactly how I look now that I am dressed, bitey!

I really liked Rick Stein's restaurant, but that was umpteen years ago.

OP posts:
Muser · 28/02/2011 15:08

Tricks are good lozza. I have a baby that feeds constantly so have become a bit of a lazy bum. Every time I consider going out she feeds again. She is very snuggly though.

laurielou · 28/02/2011 15:37

Muse that sounds gorgeous! Glad to hear all is good.

Ariesgirl · 28/02/2011 16:53

Padstein we Corns call it

Ah well, perhaps another time then.

Medee · 28/02/2011 17:57

no Scorps for two days? Hope all is well.

OP posts:
rocketleaf · 28/02/2011 18:28

Good point. funkycold hope she is ok. She often goes quiet when the migraines are bad :(

muse you sound very content and happy with your greedy liitle girl. I should be good at this bit as I've been putting in the practice at being lazy already Wink

TB is a little mad loz Its one of the things I love about him and j suspect is going to a great advantage when we have a toddler. I predict the two of them are going to be off on another planet most of the time :) he has been singing this to the cat all week, think being alone has sent him even more mental but it cheered me up no end hehe

Scorpette · 28/02/2011 19:03

Am here. So chuffed youse is thinking about me. No migraines (just mild headaches - miracle!) but otherwise v poorly. Averaging 2 hrs sleep a night now. Not happy times at mo. Don't want to just keep coming on here and moaning about my ever-increasing catalogue of medical woes (realise I just have, soz) - it bores me shitless, so can only imagine how dreary it is for everyone else. Blush

Still, at least I look miles more svelte and glam than Nathalie Portman, however ill I get Hmm I did like the way her fella had to help her waddle up the stairs to get her Oscar, heheh.

Excited about GG's upcoming scan :) Going to find out the flava or go for a surprise?

Your work colleagues sound a good bunch, Loz. Try to request a few Mothercare/M&Ps vouchers amongst your requests for booze n cake Wink

Rocket, hope you had a fab reunion with your TB. TYF is also as mad as a box of frogs - whenever he says he can't wait to meet his son, I point out how lovely it'll be for him to finally hang out with someone on his level Grin

Lovely to imagine gorgeous snuffling (and greedy!) Bobkate - every day we all get a little closer to meeting our own tiny snuffler :) (EEEP!)

PS As well as my other probs, I am also suffering from appalling emoticon-itis. Ahem.

Medee · 28/02/2011 19:33

ah, there you are!

I'm getting kicked mightily in the side. I guess this baby wants out!
