Hi all,
My downs results came back this weekend and all is well so we're well chuffed :)

Bellamysbride thanks for your concern. Bowel movement has been achieved Blush and if I could only get rid of the trapped wind as well I'd be flat as a pancake again. Still no sign of a bump for me either [sigh] but I might as well enjoy wearing my normal clothes for as long as possible.

Finally got hold of my midwife yesterday (she's been on her hols) and arranged the 16 wk appointment. Feel like things are starting to fall into place at last. :)

Kezzamo · 27/02/2011 10:58

Rozeeglow wow what a relief! how long had you been waiting? we got our results on fri, weren't expecting them til mon. Had CVS on Wed. it feels like such a weight off your shoulders huh! Hope you got your results quickly xx

MrsV I love Ferguson esp as you have a short surname. Its nice to be a bit different :-). I used ebay loads planning our wedding. Great deals for everything on there and some quirky bits to make your day special without costing the earth! Saved us tons of time and cash!

I've got some jeans from next with a narrow bump band. Ace for now, normal jeans a bit pinchy but proper maternity stuff v baggy. Not sure how good they will be when have actual bump...not bad though for £26. Also they have their "normal" clothes available in mat for some styles! Nice to feel a bit more normal?

Thanks for the hen do advice. Think I am going to go but just take it easy. The sat is a spa day in the hotel any way so bobbing around in the pool and having a massage will be nice. Will just come home when then they go clubbing! Now just have to convince family that I will be fine!

KLou111 · 27/02/2011 18:47

I've not felt baby move for 10 days now, but had appt on Thursday and we heard the heartbeat and everything OK.

But I am now feeling really really upset. I've just been crying on the phone to my mum as I didn't want to call my MW, but wanted MW advice (my mum was a MW before she retired 3 years ago for those that don't know).
I have just been to the loo and I wiped a small spot of red blood. Wiped again and again, and nothing. DH was standing there too cos he was waiting for the loo so he saw the blood.
Not had any cramp or anything, but am really worried. Mum said may just be a part of womb coming away, or if we have had sex recently (last night, but she didn't ask!) so we wonder if it was that, but I thought it would happen straight away.
She's told me to wear a panty liner to see if there's any more. Only reason I'm really worried is because it's red.
KT did you go the see the MW in the end when you had blood?

RugbyWidow7 · 27/02/2011 18:47

Hello
Kezzamo, I actually got back from a hen do about 2 hours ago and I did thoroughly enjoy it. I will admit to being pretty apprehensive about how it would go beforehand, but it was fab. Lots of girlly time, good chats, eating and general fun watching others get drunk (finally I see it from the other side ;). There were even two other preg ladies, who were much further on than me and stayed for the duration, whereas, I only went for one night. I say go for it but just take it very easy and let the others take on the work / activities and you sit back and enjoy the swimming / spa!

MrsV, I'm all up for names that are a bit different, so if you love it great! Does it matter that it might be abbreviated to Fergie? I guess you can over think these things though.

RugbyWidow7 · 27/02/2011 18:54

Klou sorry we x-posted. Please don't be upset. It sounds like it was only a tiny amount though, and you did have sex recently and it's stopped - all points on the positive side. Try not to get too upset, I know it's so hard, but your mum is the expert here and by the sounds of things she doesn't think it's anything serious.

bettyboo83 · 27/02/2011 19:11

KLou could it have been from the back end (sorry if TMI!)? I've had a bit of constipation and had a bright red spotting when wiping after Blush xxx

KLou111 · 27/02/2011 20:00

No Betty it was defo the front. I did actually think that for a split second at first (DH actually asked that too) but I was nowhere near there when I wiped.
Have calmed down a bit, but I dread going to the loo now. Have been twice since, and no blood.

KTisPG · 27/02/2011 20:08

KLou I had exactly the same - just one red wipe as it were (sorry if TMI). I was back to knicker-checkers anon for a couple of days, but didn't have any more bleeding so didn't bother calling MW (it's my 3rd so was pretty reassured when no more). We hadn't had sex otherwise I would have put it down to that. Pantyliner is a good idea as you will be able to tell straight away if any more, but if it were me I'd wait and see a little while. Fingers crossed.

Re names, I'm thinking of Monica Rose for a girl and maybe Matthew James for a boy. I find boys names much harder - I like names that are traditional but try to avoid the really popular ones. My other DCs are Elena and Alfred (Alfie).

nickstermum · 27/02/2011 20:35

KLou if you had sex last night it could have been your cervix,, thikn its called friable cervix? Hope everything ok xx

re movement, mine is sporadic due to anterior placenta,,where is yours?

Firawla · 27/02/2011 22:31

Klou hopefully it's nothing atleast it was only a tiny bit and you had your mum to ask and reassure you, must be upsetting but i would try not too worry too much

nice to see the names people are thinking of. kt im the opposite find girl's names harder i think! maybe cos we have boys already so used to naming boys. although saying that dh does not agree with me on my boys choice, or my girls ones either

bettyboo83 · 27/02/2011 22:38

Just seen this advert on another thread which I thought might make you lot giggle, in our quest for well-fitting maternity wear Wink www.youtube.com/hotmilklingerie

sisterT · 28/02/2011 09:15

KLou - hope all settled overnight. try not to worry.

Happy Birthday Hersetta - have a great day.

Ive got my 16week appt today and hoping to hear a heartbeat through my jellybelly ;-)

sisterT · 28/02/2011 09:18

LOL at hotmilk ad - hilarious! My bra fitters have always been female & elderly................ I must have been very bad in a former life.............

Annie456 · 28/02/2011 11:16

Oooh I think I have a bump! I managed to turn over in my sleep (on to my front) and woke myself up because it felt like I was laying on a balloon! Was a very funny feeling! Then I freaked out because I didn't know how long I had been on my front...hopefully not too long!

Hope everything is ok klou... x

KTisPG · 28/02/2011 12:57

Hope you're ok KLou

PrettyVacant1 · 28/02/2011 13:52

KLou how are you today?
Is there an EPU nearby? You can self refer, to put your mind at rest.

Happy Birthday Hersetta, have a lovely day. Smile

I had a scan 2 weeks ago SisterT
Just to reassure you, I too have a jelly belly and we heard the whooshwhooshwhoosh just fine.GrinGrin

Annie ver Envy bout your bump, I possibly do have one under the podge,I'm still waiting for the supposed preggers area to get bigger than the bloated area below my boobs.
I look like a mismatched shelving unit that was constructed by a 3yr old on a sugar rush.

Where does that very helpful man from Hotmilk work... does he do private home fittings?
I need a new bra Grin

I have another scan tomorrow, I'm actually looking forward to it instead of the thought making me feel anxious.
It's just a sneaky one we requested as I'm menkulling I finished the Steroids two weeks ago and I want to see how Cleatus is getting on without them.
It's with an EPU nurse we've known for years so FX and time allowing, we can have a proper look and record the HB.
The 12 week scan was a little rushed. Angry

KLou111 · 28/02/2011 14:41

Hi All
Happy birthday Hersetta
No more blood here phew! Spoke to my mum earlier this morning and she has calmed me down now. I have my triple blood test on Weds so when I go in, I am going to get them to check for a heartbeat to to be reassured.
Guessing it was nothing, even have white knickers on today! Shit the hell out of me, I have come this far to lose my little precious one x

MrsVidic · 28/02/2011 16:32

Hello ladies,

Glad to hear things are going ok klou I've spotted after sex last time and it is worrying. Things were fine then dd is a boystress toddler now so I'm sure you'll be fine!

I am knackered and the sickness has returned ( great!) I do have quite the bump now, and I've started to feel the odd kick between flutters! It's so much clearer this time, don't know if it's cause I know what it feels like or I'm slimmer than last time but it is lovely!

I seem devoid of energy, couldn't go gym this morning and I'm feeling the guilt ( stupid I know)

FeralGirlCambs · 28/02/2011 17:26

hI everyone and happy birthday Hersetta. Not been on this thread for a while as MN habit was not helping my work! Now I have bump envy - 17+6 today and while I have no waist anymore I think baby has filled that space rather than sticking out the front like a good baby! But it's started 'fluttering' which is very exciting - sounds from the thread like there's a lot of that going on by now. Was wondering who has felt this and who not, and at what dates?

Just had a rock cake craving; the (dis)advantage of 'working' at home means it could be immediately acted on. Oops. But the house smells great.

Firawla · 28/02/2011 19:44

mmmm rock cake, now i feel like having one after reading that. i don't think i've had them for years, my granny used to make them they were so nice!
i wonder if you can get them ready made from supermarket?

i am feeling definite kicks now, mainly at night i think cos during the day too busy to notice much, but felt flutterings from v early but these are definite kicks. am 16 weeks (i think, losing track) not sure fatness or thinness makes u that more/less likely to feel it early cos i am not thin (14) and been feeling for ages, i think just feel it early with ur 2nd and 3rd cos you recognise the feeling?

klou glad to hear no more blood, im sure everything will be fine

happy bday hersetta!!

KLou111 · 28/02/2011 19:52

Ooo rock cakes. I made some a couple of weeks ago for the first time in years, now you've made me want to make some more :)

CappuccinoCarrie · 28/02/2011 20:20

I've fiiiinally had a scan! There really is a baby in there! It has a heartbeat, brain, 4 limbs, stomach and everything! Date moved from 19th to 18th, so I'm 15+4. What a relief to finally stop wearing my big black hoody and set the (rather large) bump free! I've been able to text the people who already knew to say that can talk about it, and texted others to let them know. Its soooo exciting :)
Anomaly scan is booked for 4th April, we're thinking of taking both DCs. I cried when we told them tonight, DS (2) lifted my top and asked why the baby was hiding, and DD (3) immediately offered to give her teddy's blanket to the baby, I was sobbing with how cute she was. She later told me that she wants the 'special hole' when she grows up so that she can have babies too...yikes! She doesn't understand why she isn't allowed to marry her brother though - as far as she's concerned once she's found a good man she can start having babies...oh so much to learn about life!

Firawla · 28/02/2011 21:32

carrie lol @ your dd, both your dcs reactions sounds so cute bless them
you must have been so impatient having to wait til nearly 16 weeks for a scan!! but good to hear everything is well

MrsStevo · 28/02/2011 22:58

Yaaaaaaaaay cappuccino !!! SUPER excited for you! I've been thinking about you today! Fab news. Look forward to a bit of bump comparison this weekend! x x x

bettyboo83 · 28/02/2011 23:46

FeralGirl I don't think I've felt the baby yet. I'm 16 weeks but it's my first so I'll probably pass it off as wind for ages (and there's lots of that!) Wink
