Great fred, GG. Who'd-a thunk, when we were younger, that we'd prefer this sort of lay, hur hur.

Ivegotmrbitey · 03/02/2011 17:21

Oh fuckity fuck am not bottom any more!

we are expecting so many baybees! would anyone like a piña colada?

rocketleaf · 03/02/2011 17:38

Holy shit, I am mid table!! How the feck did that happen?

Ha you loon score Quite fancy having a fore name like Rocket although I think people would expect a runner or a boxer or something, and would be tres disappointed with the reality.

The nesting fest continues, I have almost boxed everything and the room is actually looking like it might possibly get cleared fairly soon. Now all I need to do is find time to ebay and car boot the 2 large piles of stuff that have been rejected. MIL popped round just and gave me lovely new wallet for b'day pressie and it is perfect, lots of compartments which i like but a bit slimmer than my old one which is falling apart. And crucially the zip bit for change faces the same way up as the open bit for notes which is a bug bear of mine, it is shocking how many wallets are actually functionally crap. And she has offered to buy the cot, which is lovely of her as they are a bit skint. I tried to argue with her but I am guessing they will want to buy something so I am glad I have found a really reasonable one! Right off to scoff he pastry I didn't mention while she was here

owlbooty · 03/02/2011 17:43

When does this nesting thing kick in? My house is a fecking pig sty.

CluckyKate · 03/02/2011 17:55

Oooh - it's getting a bit cramped in here

Still waiting for nesting to start Owly....think it may have passed me by!

Back from MW - BP back to normal, bump size back to normal, baby HB back to normal...as expected the fecking doc was blimmin' clueless last week [phew]. Head also 2/5 engaged - that's 2/5 in (MW is old skool) - hooray!!

rocketleaf · 03/02/2011 18:32

Oh awesome clucky so glad all your stats are looking good. Yey there's a laying in the offing!

shoes think the nesting kicks in when you see a bargain on t'internet, order it and then it kicks in again with a vengeance when you realise it is about to be delivered and have nowhere to put the fecker!! Also when 4 month worth of built up grim because you have felt too shite to clean rears it's ugly head when you start to feel well enough to look around :o I'll be honest if I was working this would not be happening! Happily live in a pig sty most of the time !

rocketleaf · 03/02/2011 18:33

grim grime. But yeah same diff really

Medee · 03/02/2011 20:17

Hello new thread!

Ivegotmrbitey · 03/02/2011 20:20

Aaargh, anyone else watching human planet? Spider eating ahoy! Boak, boak, boak!

Ivegotmrbitey · 03/02/2011 20:28

And breast feeding monkeys now. Hate this programme!

PollyPoo · 04/02/2011 07:46

Just popping in for any laying news - come on babyCho and babyChick!

Just realised we have new differs! Congratulations to BB and LovelyMountie, bloody fantastic news. Grin

sorry I haven't had chance to catch up with everyone else. You lot can really talk.Smile. Bitchslaps and tequila shots to you all.

CluckyKate · 04/02/2011 08:15

Morming all!

Despite concerted efforts all round there's no laying going on in this house [harumph]

laurielou · 04/02/2011 08:17

Uh, I have an issue with the not list. There appear to be less people ahead of me than behind me. This cannot be right Grin

Bitey just hearing about spider eating has brought the vom-juices to my mouth. Ginger nut biscuit anyone?

I dread to think what my nesting will be like seeing as I'm totally uptight about cleaning & tidying anyway. OK the spare room could do with a bit of a sort out, but most stuff is already boxed up & ready to take to a car boot sale (my dad & I did a couple for the first time last year & had a ball. Bacon sarnies & a field overlooking the Welsh coast helped). All the books & articles I see say to just put the housework to one side once baybee arrives. Just reading that makes my teeth itch & my eyes squint. However, I am fully aware all you "already mums" are prolly spitting out your cornflakes & laughing in a "she'll learn" kind of way.

Clucky great news that everything seems to be as it should. Now we just need the appearance of MiniCluck. MiniCho also seems too comfy & settled. Have some nipple tweaks, both of you.

Sorry I missed commenting on the end of the last fred. Loads seemed to happen, which I promise I read & commented in my head. 2 clicks of the mouse to join new fred & whoosh! brain is empty again.

Anyway, last working day of the week - yippee! Pointless & mundane meeting for most of the day though - boo! At least someone usually brings some munchies to help us through.

Another round of tequila?

Muser · 04/02/2011 08:33

You have an issue with it lozzles? I'm only sheltered by 2 PESHes who could be laying right now and the lovely Drom. How the hell did that happen?

laurielou · 04/02/2011 09:06

Muse mwhahaha*. Thanks for making me feel better though Grin

  • I give you full authority to laugh at me when I'm nearer the top of the list & you're happily, confidently well into motherhood!
Scorpette · 04/02/2011 09:22

I'll always be just ahead of you, Lozenge, if that helps Confused

To thank me for this selfless endeavour, you can come round ours and give it a thorough tidy. I have the opposite problem to you - I'm scared my nesting instinct will never kick in, cos I have the tidiness levels of a 14 yr old boy Blush Am v clean and hygienic but otherwise useless.

rocketleaf · 04/02/2011 09:30

Haha maybe my tag line should have been "hiding behind Lauries skirts" I am constantly reassured by the fact you are one day ahead of me lozzer :o

Ok I think I am being paranoid but could do with a bit of reassurance from those further along or 2nd timers. On wed night I had a sudden cramping pain in my left lower abdomen which spread out across my lower belly, (sort of under the bump) it was pretty strong but eased off after a few minutes, then felt a bit sore where it started for a bit longer. Seemed to go away after that. I couldn't work out if it was in my womble or bladder or bowel as everything seems to have shifted round. I am still feeling lots of kicks from sprout so not TOO worried but they do now seem to be a lot higher up and not quite as strong. I am trying to convince myself that it was just a muscle cramp or maybe my bladder and as a result she has shifted position to higher up.

Anyone shed any light? Of course if it happens again I'll ring the midwife but at mo I am not wanting to make a fuss if it's over nothing. It's just that now I am menkulling away to myself.

Waves at polly hope alls well and you are getting a bit more rest! Laying vibes for cho and clucky

ginhag · 04/02/2011 09:37

Sounds like round ligament pain rocket. is all the stretchifying wot does it....

rocketleaf · 04/02/2011 09:46

Thanks gin I knew there would be a prosaic explanation but I just feel better for being able to put a name to it, you know what I mean? Ribs still bad? it's got fruit in it so perfectly acceptable breakfast drink.

Scorpette · 04/02/2011 10:00

I've had something v similar now and then, Rocky. Was a bit worrying at first but am used to it. Was just reading a bit of WTEWYE and it was saying how babies are like every other human and are more active on some days than others, and in different areas (whilst there's still space for them to rock out in there) :)

The Lad was kicking me right in my cervix last night and it was making my left leg shoot up involuntarily, much to the amusement of TYF. Hmm

BTW, does this bottle of orange Mad Dog 20/20 count as my brekkie contribution towards 5 a day? Grin

ginhag · 04/02/2011 10:16

Thanks for the vitaminz rocket. good for the baybee innit.

Well, much weirdness in the gin house. Have had weird stomach for few days, last night was awake with bhs that were bit hurty and then had to run and throw up. Haven't slept much, and have sort of mild period pains n feel all cold n tired n horrid. Have crawled into bed and given mooch my iPad (he is currently watching ren n stimpy as I am a terrible mother.)

Now, this is prob just a weirdy bug but combined with the mental bout of manic nesting I had yesterday there is a tiny part of me wondering if something is planning to kick off soon...

Have realised I can't manage with mooch on my own today (though he has announced that he will look after me,aaaw) so have texted ginman so hopefully he will come home,or send best mate childminder home. All I want is a bath and sleep.

Muser · 04/02/2011 10:20

Aw, poor gin. Get some sleep. If something is starting you'll need your rest. I look forward to seeing you do a massive queue jump.

PerfectDromedary · 04/02/2011 10:25

Queue-jumping, Gin? Cho & CK will NOT be pleased.

But oooh, how 'citing! You have always thought this one wanted to come out a bit early, haven't you?

Sleeplessness has FINALLY kicked in for me. Thank goodness for maternity leave and the ability to sit on the sofa staring blankly into space. And reading books. And listening to Women's Hour.

Muse Mat leave soon? Fancy a lunch/coffee/gossip?
