Congratulations Jeffily good weight too as your little girl was early wasn't she. This is so exciting ladies-

Ckny1 we're moving straight after our baby is born too- so I sympathise. Nearly everything we own is in a storage unit and our flat has the bare minimum- mainly baby things- until we move. Very much a state of limbo.
Sorry things aren't straightforward with your birth plan- hope you can get some clarity or a natural birth just happens and works out fine for you before the 9th March.

ckny1 · 16/02/2011 13:40

Hope I updated this correctly, and look forward to more changes!!! :)

Kagey · 16/02/2011 16:19

Yay! Congratulations to Muser and Jeffily.

jammiedodger2 · 16/02/2011 16:29

How exciting, big congrats to muser, jeffily and their families.
I've been without puter for a week and really feel like i've missed out!
Have finally met a rather fab cardiologist at JR who is now monitoring my heart condition and seems to think I can go full term which I am delighted about. Also saw obs doc today who was lovely but asked me what I had for lunch, since I had dashed there straight from work I confessed to a bar of dairy milk and 2 pieces of rocky road in the car. Apparently that explained why I had ketones AND glucose in my wee, she was very sweet and didn't tell me off Blush
Bag is now nearly packed mat leave starts in a week, I think this might actually happen..........................

chickiewoo · 16/02/2011 16:53

Huge congratulations to Muser and Jeffily, their families and their precious baby girls. Can't believe its started to happen - where has the time gone? Who is going to be next? Take care all and keep us posted. I'm scheduled for c-section at week 39 which is not until 21 March, so will probably be one of the last of our throng, unless something happens earlier, which I've been warned is very likely!! Feelings of excitement, anxiety and pure fear go through my mind every day - is anyone else feeling the same?? xxx

Lozario · 16/02/2011 17:34

chickiewoo I'm the same - when I had my first I was absolutely knocked for 6, found it so tough, never thought that in less than 2 years I'd be doing the same again!!! It's come around soooo quickly too... Shock

superpenguin · 16/02/2011 18:07

oh wow!

CONGRATULATIONS TO Muser and Jeffily !!!
:) :) :) :)

Niknan · 16/02/2011 19:18

Congratulations to Muser and Jeffily. Wow two beautiful baby girls! Hope you are all well and that labour was not too bad. Looking forward to hearing the names etc.

Got another growth scan on Friday morning so hope all is well and got my group B strep swab and more blood tests as got some more weird and wonderful anti bodies developing. Final day at work as well so looking forward to mat leave as should hopefully be moving in 2 weeks time. Its all go!

Good luck to anyone else who goes into labour soon.

spilttheteaagain · 16/02/2011 19:42

Aaw lovely news Smile Congratulations to Muser and jeffily on your lovely new arrivals. You'll have to open a postnatal thread now to share the birth stories and the what next's. Well done ladies xx

Purplefan · 16/02/2011 19:42

Congrats to Jeffily too! Grin

I finished work today for Mat leave... got a big bag of lush stuff and basket of baby bits along with some lovely flowers, although was very embarrassed at being presented with them in front of the whole school - staff and pupils!! Blush
Such a relief to finish and not have to think about work for a while! x

niamh29 · 16/02/2011 20:27

Huge congratulations to muser and Jeffily, hope mammies and babies are doing well! Please update us on your stories when you get time!

I'm getting so excited about the arrival of my own little girl now!

KPidgeon · 16/02/2011 21:07

Purplefan how lovely to have such nice gifts. I hate an audience like that too. Enjoy your mat leave!

Hattie05 · 16/02/2011 21:26

Two babies born! Congratulations Muser and Jeffily.

Chickiewoo - i'm the same! I only gave birth last November ! and having to do it a fourth time in a couple of weeks is a bit shocking. Very excited to meet our baby, but very nervous about the tough times ahead with a school runs, pre-school runs and two different size nappies to change! Will she cope?............watch this space...............Grin

As for the pain - don't panic too much everyone, if you take the gas and air (which i do) you feel dosed enough that it really doesn't feel as bad as you think. And remember the only way to stop it is to push! - with your midwives permission of course! Wink and then wow what an amazing achievement when you hold your little baby for the first time.

Hattie05 · 16/02/2011 21:59

Ok make that the November before last Blush feels like only last though! Grin

rain1014 · 16/02/2011 23:18

Congrats on the two new babies!!!

Jenchandler · 16/02/2011 23:28

OOh exciting...babies!! Congrats to muser and jeffily. Cant wait to hear all about.

had a stomachbug but seems to have settled now - I'm just exhausted. Slept most of today though - lovely!

Hubby has put on airforce one - struggling with all the excitement. Its set my hormones racing and am now struggling with palpitations!
I wonder who will be next to pop.

cherub59 · 16/02/2011 23:33

when will the heartburn stop and let me sleep! Congrats Muser and Jeffily!

Muser · 17/02/2011 01:43

Hello all. Currently holding a just fed and sleeping baby. We got home today. It's absolutely wonderful. Had a panic this afternoon over breast feeding but things are going much better. Patience is key I think!

Just wanted to contribute on the hypnobirthing. I listened to the natal hypnotherapy CDs and was all primed to use the techniques. They did not give me a pain free birth BUT but they did help me a lot with managing it all and staying calm. I think things would have been a lot more difficult without them.

I got really shouty during pushing, but it wasn't because of it hurting, it was just the effort. I used breathing and a TENS machine in early labour and then gas and air for the delivery. I never felt I wanted anything more, I had a very fast delivery but also very intense as I was pushing before I was fully dilated. Which I wouldn't recommend but I couldn't stop myself.

I think it's one of those things that if you can go into fairly calmly it helps. And not to get to hung up on the perfect birth or doing it without drugs or whatever. Because when your baby arrives that really is all that matters. Who cares how you get there?

1Catherine1 · 17/02/2011 05:46

Muser that is reassuring - just what I needed to read right now to make me feel more relaxed. Glad you are home and settled already - really does sound wonderful. :)

I have just had the most uncomfortable BH, I was sleeping at the time and woke up with what I thought was bad heartburn, I got up, went for my rennies, quick loo visit then back to bed. Upon lying back in bed it started. Felt like I was actually going to be sick, I got up, grabbed my birth ball and went into the living room and knelt over it until the pain eased (was a good few minutes and felt really intense). Scared the hell out of me! For a moment I wondered if baby wanted to make an early appearance herself and was ready to shout OH from the other side of the flat regardless of it being 5:30am and waking my neighbours. Blush

Feel a lot better now and I suppose I should take comfort in the fact instinct kicks in and tells you what you need to do to ease the pain but then I keep being told that real contractions are a lot more painful than these ones so that's got me a bit more concerned - I'm a big softy really.

Well, I have to be up for work in an hour so I guess I should go back to bed. Gona be a long day!

Jupiter118 · 17/02/2011 08:34

Congratulations jeffily and again muser. Great that you are already home - it all sounds very fast.

catherine the pain braxtob hicks sounds unpleasant - hope it passes.

jen - stomach bug - yuck not what is needed.

Hattie - no 4 you are very brave - much respect. I think we will be stopping at 2 - not least because I am rubbish at being pregnant.

purple congrats on finishing work.

niamh hope baby turns. My MW said last week that she didn't think mine would, but in amomngst all the cramping and hospital stay at the weekend it did turn. I think it is still head down - hope it stays that way as have a little bit of raised fluid and was worried about cord prolapse etc.

jammie like the sound of your lunch!!!
